BEFORE: "I need a win," Kat says at podium, face all serious and haunted. "I took Hayden 12 rounds - I've got serious ring-game, but I just haven't found the trigger yet. I don't want to go into a showdown with the PLP and have everyone think I'm the weak link. Jenna's got a little heat right now - she's pretty and she's got the high-profile marriage...if I can pounce her and cut her down, it'll really boost me up. She seems nice, but I don't care at this point. I'd kneecap Santa Claus if it would get me the W!"

Jenna just as determined - looking for the same traction Kat is. "We're kinda in the same boat," Dewan says in prefight. "We both need to start clawing our way up the foodchain, over the bodies of other girls, and it sucks for her that she's going to be one of those bodies on my list. I respect Kat - we're both dancers; we're both sexier and better athletes than most girls at flyweight, but when it comes right down to it - you're either a winner or you're not. I look at Kat and I don't see the special. I do see a victim, however!"

Action consists of fighters pouncing in on each other and getting off brisk-trading rights and lefts...lots of shoe-shining to hips and bodies, but the occasional well-turned clout making impact up top. Kat settles down late, setting down on her feet to drive-in righty off the extended left hand measuring-stick...Dewan's head jolted violently back by the connects, knees unhinged by Graham power near bell.

R2: Jenna stepping to her right, working behind the jab a bit more now...cute footwork - she'll scoot a little out of range to coax Kat forward, swatting Graham a pesky check-hook; she'll feint, then dart forward with left jabs frisking Kat's tits. Graham scowling prettily, bouncing and alert in her stance...soon she's playing the same game - left arm nice and relaxed to deliver swiping counters off the back (right) plant-leg.

R3: Girls hopping/stepping counter-clockwise, frowning prettily as they feint; change levels; show either shoulder forward while turning torsos side to side. Snake's tongue jabs lick at tummies/sort out rival breasts...girls just tapping away on one another, not really sticking-in stiff. Midway through, Kat catches Jenna a supple-swatting hook from the hip...Dewan clouted out of her stance, goes over to the defensive. Graham prowling forward - right at cheek/left hand dangling low...she up-jabs Jenna's guard to put her ropeside; threatens her with sudden right hands that are also blocked up top; sinks in wicked, clapping hooks that chop-waist just beneath Dewan's protective elbows. Jenna groaning, sitting in ropes...Kat able to square away, thump the flanks both hands like a little bully at the bell.

R4: Jenna grumpy, not initiating...she's driven back by Kat's left jab as Graham steps it in fierce. Dewan forced to ring apron, but determined to slug for respect...crowd-pleasing flurries result as Kat darts in, trades, hops out to reset. Graham gradually settling on a stiff left jab - stepping in strong on flat feet; putting a ramrod right in behind jab to Dewan's face, then hustle-punching from there as Jenna's driven to ropes. Dewan whirling back as well, but she's slapping while Kat's driving...Graham getting the better of ringing trade, buckling Jenna's knees in several engagements. Bell: Dewan frazzled, scuffing up; Kat all chest heaving, eyes blazing...Graham starting to take it to her girl through 4.

R5,6,7: Kat an ingenue on a mission now - jumping in with her jab, ramming the right to face, hup-hup-hupping from there as Jenna tries to compete. Dewan feisty as hell, slugging her heart out until girls either fall in to clinch or bounce apart...she's trying to compete, but Kat's just too determined. Kat takes the 5th and 7th, Jenna the 6th - all by close, hard-fought margins.

R8: Kat the aggressor - locating Jenna's jugs via stiff left jab; sweeping over the top righty, bashing at Jenna's jaw. Dewan driven to apron a little wide-eyed/shellshocked...she's taking hard punches now, starting to look rickety in her stance. Kat jabs jug, pivots to an angle off Jenna's left hip...Graham able to deploy a swinging sidearm right to Dewan's back while digging tuff left hooks to paunch. Jenna cringing, breaking down...she forms a tight earmuff, sort of cramping forward on the spot...Kat steps a little closer, bounces that vicious right hand off left flank; pops hips-right, arches her back and really tucks that left up into paunch, digging at the meat of Jenna. Dewan groaning, legs bennnnding...she's visibly hurt, so Kat hesitates with right hand raised to smite, glancing at the ref: official not doing anything so Graham hammers the unopposed right to flank/hooks the gut again. OH that pumping left to tummy has Jenna in a bad way...knees bent, cringing forward, she hugs her body as she turns to her right, edging into ropes for support. Kat looks at ref, says: "More?" official doesn't act so Graham POUNDS the right off quivering kidney - now just chopping at a helpless Jenna Dewan. Dewan too proud and leg-strong to go down, but she's just sagging against ropes, taking a horrible beating...ref FINALLY steps in to push Graham away. TKO8 Kat Graham in determined fashion.

AFter: Graham overjoyed - bouncing around the ring and hugging complete strangers. Jenna wincing and cringing, beaten tender to the body tonight and looking pretty shabby. "I had to have this win," Kat reiterates in postfight, looking all sweaty and excited. "The Hayden fight gave me the confidence that I could be elite, and I beat Jenna's buns to take a positive step in that direction. It feels awesome - she was helpless, basically just suffering until the referee rescued her. At first I wanted him to stop it, but if I'm honest? I liked that he let me really show her who's boss. It would have cheated me, the fans AND Jenna if the official had stopped things too soon. All I can say is lookout flyweight division: your worst nightmare is starting to come true!"
