Emily has the belt, having taken the title in November, but former champion Adele wants it back, and she hammered Rhiannon Fish on Boxing Day, when she looked as good as ever in the ring.

Here comes Adele, and she’s in a silky red and black bra and pants ensemble for this fight, looking to overshadow the champion, Emily, in her baby blue bikini, and Emily is probably the hotter of the two right now.

Round 1

Wow! These girls are going at it pretty hard from the start, and they’re both looking like they want to end this fight in the first round! That’s a great left hand from Adele, but Emily returns just as hard, and smacks her right glove right in Adele’s mouth, then she turns her head sideways with a left hook, but Adele doesn’t retreat! She just let Emily have a great left hook to the side of her head, then Emily’s back at her again, good shots from the young champ there, and she’s marking Adele’s face a bit - round the right eye especially, but Adele fights back again and those are good, straight punches from her, and now the girls slow a little, still trying to club each other – and that’s the end of a brutal round!

Round 2

And away they go again! Adele’s seeking out Emily’s face for more punishment, but the champ’s not at home – she’s on her toes, jabbing and dancing, frustrating the hell out of Adele, who must be thinking she’s forced this change of tactics onto the pretty blonde. Now Emily’s got in tight again, and she just smashed her really hard in the tummy, ouch! And again! Adele’s been hurt, and Emily jabs her neatly in the mouth, and, awww …… another shot in the midsection, and Emily’s put Adele on her knees! She looks in pain as she gets up, too, and this is a shock to see her in such a state so early! In comes Emily again, and Adele’s finding it hard to defend herself properly, and – oh! Good punch from Emily again, lovely left hook to the liver! Adele’s quivering, but she’s saved by the bell! Unbelievable! We’ve only had two rounds!

Round 3

Adele looks worried! And so she should be! Emily’s cruising around the ring now, and she’s batting Adele in the face with such ease, the older girl having to guard her body without making her face an easy target – and there’s Emily again! That’s a good combination from the champ – three punches to Adele’s face, then one to the tummy, and she’s trying for an uppercut – just missed! Adele’s trying to fight back here, now, but she isn’t bothering Emily at the moment, and the champ just eases a couple of right hooks onto Adele’s face, then gives her a left in the ribs, and Adele’s covering up again, not offering much aggression – very unSilva-like! But who can blame her - at least she didn’t take a beating in that round!

Round 4

Adele needs to show something here, but Emily’s picking her off like a novice at the moment, smacking three punches on her nose one after another, there – Adele just took them, and comes away with blood round her nostrils! At last, though! At last Adele shows some aggression! She’s come out fighting for the first time since she got floored, and she’s letting some good punches go at Emily this round – she’s pushed the champ back and she’s going for a big hook! Oooh – just missed! Back comes Emily, trying to turn Adele, but can’t! Adele hit her again there – a good one in the mouth! But Emily’s showing why she’s the champ – she’s fighting back, coming off the ropes, and now it’s Adele going backwards, blood dribbling from her nose again, but that’s the bell, and I reckon she won that round!

Round 5

Emily’s moving in on Adele again, and that’s a good punch to Silva’s midsection again - this girl really likes prodding those shots on the older girl’s body, and she’s gradually closing Adele down into a corner in this round. But back comes Adele! Nice work from her there, she just gave Emily a very swift to and fro with the left and right hooks, and it stopped the champ in her tracks, and allowed Adele to get out of trouble. So she’s starting all over again – getting up on her toes, jabbing at Adele’s face, then getting in close, and she’s hitting Adele in the body again – she’s really targeted Adele’s bod tonight, and she’s moving her to the ropes, landed well then with her right hook, and Adele stumbled a little, and she gets another smack in the mouth, then another right hook, and her left cheek looks a little swollen now as the round ends with Emily back on top.

Round 6

Adele wants this fight really badly, but she’s not quick enough at the moment, and Emily’s just snapped her head back with a double jab, and that’s set her nosebleed off again. Adele’s ignoring that, and she still comes forward, but Emily caught her there, and she’s punishing Adele quite heavily with the right hand again now – Adele’s left eye’s starting to close, I’m sorry to say, but Emily’s after the body again – the flesh around Adele’s ribcage is looking reddened, and will be very sore after this fight, but for now she’s trying to stop Emily from smashing her eye up, with the champ wading into her again. Adele’s looking desperate now, on the ropes, and taking a lot of punishment – that’s a big left from Emily this time, and she’s got Adele wilting, I’m afraid, and once again, she’s stumbling back to her corner at the bell, the gap on points getting wider.

Round 7

Emily’s quicker around the ring than Adele, and she’s landing again – she just hammered three heavy blows on Adele’s ribs, and for the first time I can recall, I heard Adele squeal from that punishment, and I wonder if Emily’s broken her rib there? She certainly seems to be breaking her spirit, because Adele’s getting the wrong end of another beating now, laying back on the ropes,, but she gets one to the ribs again, and now she’s crouching, and Emily’s punching Adele’s face at will, measuring her up, cracking the shots in – Adele’s left eye’s a bruised lump now, but she manages to get off the ropes, Emily whistles an uppercut past her nose, gets her in the tummy again, then connects somewhere around Adele’s ear with a left hook, and that’s put her off balance, vulnerable. Adele’s looking at her corner – Gail Kim’s telling her to concentrate! But Emily’s pushing her backwards again, found that eye with her right glove again there, and another round ends with Adele looking worse by the second.

Round 8

The ref had a very good look at Adele between rounds, but surely he can’t give her more than a round to make an impact? Well, let’s see – Emily’s on her bike as the round starts, but here she comes, gloves low, and she’s whipping her punches into Adele’s face from down by her waist, the challenger’s head getting smacked up and back, blood spattering the ring – Adele’s down! She took a solid one on that closed eye – but she’s up again! The ref looks unhappy, and I think Gail Kim might be about to throw the towel in? Emily’s hit Adele right on that eye again, she’s staggering – it’s over- the ref’s seen enough!

Result: Emily Atack stopped Adele Silva in round 8 to retain the BBU flyweight title.

I knew Emily was good – but she annihilated Adele Silva in that fight! Adele’s straight off to hospital – her corner’s talking broken ribs, broken nose, maybe a fractured cheekbone as well?
