Tess Valmore aka La Tessiere, La Caliente

MORRISON/ MACK Morrison was older. She was smaller. She had lost 78% of her fights. She was fighting Mack who had won 67% of her fights. There was no way that Morrison was going to win this fight. Yet at the beginning of the second round Morrison caught Mack with a big right hand and then blasted away at Mack who retreated to the ropes to block Morrison’s punches. The referee called a halt to the fight. In this reporters opinion there was no reason to stop the fight. As it is, Morrison pulls off a huge upset with a TKO2

VALLETTA/ DECKER. This was Valetta’s first fight since September 2005. Picking Decker for her comeback was a big mistake. Granted, as we saw in the opening bout, upsets happen, but not in this bout. Like the first fight, the bout lasted two rounds. In the second Decker landed a right to the head. She then went to the body and then back to the head with an overhand right and Valetta went down and out.

SMULDERS/ SOBIESKI I thought this might be the fight of the night. I expected a real slugfest. There was some hard hitting, but the fight was too short to be called a slugfest. Sobieski decked Smulders in the first and took the second to have a substantial lead at the end of two. Smulders got on the cards be flooring Sobieski in the third. In the fourth, Leelee caught Smulders with a vicious right hook that put Smulders down for the count

WILKINSON/ CAMPBELL I had predicted that this fight was a mismatch and for once I was right. Campbell took the first and then seemed to take the second round off. In the third a right hand to the head and a shovel hook to the liver ended Wilkinson’s night and saved her from further punishment that was sure to com.

CRUZ/ PARK It’s beginning to look like this is going to be a short night for a PPV. Park needed to impress as she has a title fight in the upcoming PPV. Impress she did. Cruz is no walk in the park. Park took the first round and Cruz the second. In the third Park landed a snapping left to Cruz’s jaw and followed up with a right that was enough to put Cruz down and out.

LIVELY/ ARTERTON Lively in the debut fight for the Consortium. She needed a win. She didn’t get it but she did put up a pretty good fight. Arterton took an early lead by decking Lively in the first two rounds. Lively managed to take the next three rounds to even the score. The score was even at the end of seven. Then Arterton took over and took the last three rounds to get the decision
