Both women are looking to rebuild their careers after a very promising start in 2011 but subsequent loss of form for most of 2012. Karolina Kurkova last won a fight in February of last year and hopes to break a three-bout losing streak while Alaina Huffman suffered four straight defeats and last won in January of last year herself. These two blondes are capable of achieving great things in the BBU but require a winning spark to kick-start their high-profile expectations. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
The Merseyside audience came to cheer for Alex Curran but the fellow blonde model from Czech Republic gets a warn welcome too and rips into Huffman's midsection from the bell, jabbing with lots of confidence and forcing the actress back early. Huffman tries to counter with overhand shots but catches the guard and suffers more problems down low as Kurkova goes around her elbows and peppers the ribcage with good efficiency. Alaina dekes and weaves around the model, grazes the forearms, misses a hook on the chin and gets nailed by a counter on the left, big hook slams her across the cheeks and Kurkova rains punches thereafter, snaps Alaina's head back a couple of times and signs off the round with a huge uppercut on the jaw that really opens the Canadian's eyes.

Round 2:
Continuous support for Kurkova who keeps her rival at bay, jabs to the midsection again and forces Huffman into a rushed dance around the canvas until the tags her around the liver area and slows down enough to close the distance and whack a couple of hooks on the ribs which root the Canadian to the spot. Alaina yelps in pain, nails the Czech blonde with an overhand right though... but Kurkova whips a left on the chin and wobbles the actress heavily, pounds away at the stomach and a wincing Huffman seeks a clinch.. Kurkova thinks otherwise, whips a left uppercut on the jaw, spins the Canadian back to the ropes but fails to close her down as Alaina just mamages to leap away into safety in time. Karolina's intimidating tactics continue for remainder of the round but she fails to trap her opponent again before the bell.

Round 3:
Huffman looks upset and somewhat overwhelmed as Kurkova lashes out at her straight from the bell, peppers the midsection, flicks an uppercut on the jaw but Alaina finally reads that tactics well and holds firm, blocks the model's efforts and spikes the Czech foe with couple of overhand jabs on the cheeks, snaps Karolina's head back and pummels through the guard, bounces off the chest and silences the Liverpool crowd a bit. Kurkova jumps to the ropes, begins to circle around while Huffman does all the teasing now and tries to gain some momentum herself. Karolina shakes her head, leaps after the Canadian late in the round and slams her on the ribs but a left hook on the jaw spins her around just at the bell and referee has to drag Alaina away before she can throw in some follow-up.

Round 4:
Kurkova angry over the previous round, squares up to the Canadian blonde and targets the head from the start but Alaina ducks under her high shots and counters to the midsection herself, pummels the ribcage and throws a big left on the chest which has Karolina moaning, left hook over the top beats the model for pace and nails her on the jaw... Kurkova wobbles back and tries to weave around a follow-up hook but it's too slow and Huffman lands a monster right on the eye that sags the Czech model on her knees and allows Huffman to push her back to the ropes where she cleans out Kurkova's stomach before the moaning model can clinch herself out of trouble and see out the round in defensive position.

Round 5:
Huffman visibly animated after the previous round, launches a body barrage and slows the Czech blonde down even further, catching her on the ribs and bouncing off the chest. Kurkova's suddenly stunned and struggling for agility, fails to prevent Huffman from landing a jabbing series on the face and Alaina just lumps up the Czech foe in the second minute, gives her couple of heavy hooks on the cheeks and batters her in the middle of the ring, snaps her head back repeatedly which really worries the crowd now. Kurkova sinks on the ropes in the final minute, covers up but misses her counters from behind the guard and Huffman settles into midsection assault, bends the model in half but can't reach for the face again and really make Karolina suffer. At the bell ref has to jump in again with the actress showing no signs of letting go of the aching rival and the audience begins to jeer and whistle Kurkova's performance.

Round 6:
Czech model breaths heavily during the interval and we're only half way into this one. Her face shows several lumps on each cheek while Huffman shrugged off those early problems and gets up quickly for the sixth, now she's the tormentor as she sqaures up to the visibly affected Karolina and slams a series across the chest, splits the arms apart and bounces off the breasts with visible joy. More trouble for Kurkova who just can't keep her arms high enough nor keep them together and her bikini top takes a huge pounding with the proud model moaning in pain. Huffman seems upset over the lack of response, slices the Czech with a left hand on the nose, right hook follows up on the temple and allthough Kurkova remains upright, she gets pummelled back to the ropes in the second minute and stays butt-in ropes thereafter. Alaina just hammers heavy leather on the ribcage; Karolina all covered up and soaking up punishment as the crowd's response is getting worse by the second, nobody came her to witness Huffman taking Kurkova to the cleaners but at the bell the Czech model is a spent force, her face all roughed up and flashing all kinds of red with Alaina admiring her work with a cheeky smile. Karolina's ribs are also bruised and she walks slowly to her corner with the tormenting set to resume very quickly.

Round 7:
Karolina's on a funereal pace across the canvas and Alaina does what she wants, closes in, sends a couple of jabs to the face, switches low and hammers the midsection again as the stranded Czech blonde struggles for comfort and offers weak response. She misses a hooking combo to the face, almost loses balance while cutting through the air and Alaina whips her on the temple in a well-timed counter. Another left slams Kurkova on the chest and she yelps in pain again, eats a right hand on the nose and wobbles in the middle of the ring. She doesn't stay there long though with Huffman pushing her back to the ropes with more shots on the body and the moaning is really defeaning now with Alaina striking over the top, finally shedding some blonde when a right hook squashes Karolina's upper lip. Butt-in-ropes time for the model again and the crowd seemingly loses any hopes of a turnaround with Huffman bashing her opponent on the ribs until the bell and Kurkova can't make it back to her corner without assistance. She looks utterly damaged here with Alaina refusing to sit down during the interval and shadow boxing in her corner to keep the adrenaline going.

Round 8:
Kurkova somehow makes it back for the eight but a right hook splits her mitts early and Alaina spikes her on the mouth within seconds, bursts that patched-up lip open again and the Czech model sinks on her knees again. She covers up but Huffman's hell bent on destroying her now and throws heavy leather on the head, goes around the guard and nails the model on the temple, right hook between the gloves and Karolina's head snaps back, causing her arms to drop and separate... Left hook on the nose, right on the temple... Kurkova's knees buckle one more time before going numb alltogether... CZECH MODEL JACK-KNIVES FACE-FIRST TO FLOOR and she's not getting uo anytime soon!!! Huffman shakes her head and begins to celebrate already as the ref doesn't bother with the count and signals for the medics already! KO R8 Alaina Huffman in epic ass-kicking fashion.

Post-fight:
Liverpool crowd upset over the result, continues to jeer the winner before a small round of applause is heard and Alaina's broad smile might have convinced some fans she's not the nemesis after all. Huffman looks relieved more than happy after ending a four bout losing streak and she did so in very impressive fashion. She looked out of sorts early but turned the tables on Karolina Kurkova and hammered her into a brutal KO defeat. Team Canada requries some positive news and their Alpha Blonde winning is just what the doctor ordered.

Meanwhile Karolina Kurkova leaves the Echo Arena assisted by the medics and despite a promising start she truly got wrecked there in the end. The one-dimensional tactics applied by the Czech model proves lacklustre again and the entire Lioness Club is truly worried by this performance. Kurkova was supposed to be their Alpha Blonde too, but gets her ass handed to her on a plate for the fourth consecutive time and the word is Jennifer Hawkins considers a trip to London to make up for the two losses she suffered at the hands of Kurkova in the past. With the Czech model's current state one might expect more lightweights ligning up to punch the living daylights out of her and nobody could blame them for trying.
