TESS VALMORE

KARDASHIAN/ J. SIMPSON Kardashian got off to a good start taking the first round. That was the highlight of her night. After a drawn second round, Simpson took over and won every round. There were a couple close rounds, but close is not good enough. Simpson decked Kardashian in the sixth and three times in the eighth. The third time was the end of Kardashian’s night as she was counted out.

SONG/ DUFF I really thought that Song was going to win this fight. She didn’t come close. Song didn’t get on the boards until the fifth round. After that, it only got worse for the little brunette. Duff put Song on the canvas in the sixth and again in the seventh, Duff poured on the punishment in the last three rounds. There was no doubt who the winner would be. Duff got a wide decision.

HUDGENS/ TISDALE. This was the fourth fight between the two. Tisdale was on top in the rivalry winning two out of the three. None of the fights lasted more than 5 1/2 rounds. Hudgens came out strong taking the first two rounds. Tisdale was upbeat after taking the third. She went from upbeat to beat up after that. Hudgens took the fourth and simply hammered Tisdale in the fifth, flooring her once, and beating Tisdale until she was helpless and the referee stopped the fight,

LOHAN/ DOBREV The early part of this fight did not look good for Dobrev as Lohan took the first three rounds. Dobrev took the fourth and fifth. Lohan widened her lead by winning the sixth. After that it was all Dobrev. She decked Lohan in the seventh and then won the rest of the rounds to take the decision,

VANCAMP/ MEESTER This fight got off to a rousing start with Meester being floored early in the round and Vancamp going down late. Vancamp won the second and third and Meester the fourth and fifth. Fight was all even going into the second half. Vancamp took the next three and Meester the last two. That was enough for Vancamp to get the decision

CUTHBERT/ M. KELLY This was the rubber match between the two. Kelly took three of the first four rounds and had a substantial lead at the end of five. In the sixth, Cuthbert put Kelly on the canvas but was unable to finish her. In the seventh Cuthbert hurt Kelly early in the round and again was unable to finish her. Kelly then went on a rampage that Cuthbert was unable to escape and was pounded into a TKO stoppage. Those Cuthbert films sent to Kelly by the management of Front Street may well have helped Kelly to victory.

STRAHOVSKI/ PEREGRYM The promised to be a great fight between two top ten lightweights. I put Peregrym as the underdog, but she came out determined to show Strahovski who was boss. Missy swept the first four rounds putting Yvonne in a deep hole. Strahovski then turned the fight around by working Peregrym over for the next four rounds and evening up the fight. Strahovski had the momentum going into the ninth, but Peregrym managed to steal the round late and then decked Strahovski in the tenth to win the decision
