BBU Fight Night in Cardiff

(Lookout Atlantic Boxing vs Beever's Babes)

Doutzen again fights at welterweight tonight, where she seems more comfortable, and she’s up against Kelly, who hasn’t fought for quite a while – in fact not since being brutally beaten by Erika Heynatz.

Doutzen patriotically wears an orange bikini for this fight, with Kelli donning a black onepiece outfit.

Round 1

Doutzen’s nimble on her feet for a big girl, and she’s outpacing Kelli, snapping good punches off at the singer’s face, but Kelli fights back, catching Doutzen with a lovely left hook, sending the model into the ropes. Doutzen doesn’t stick around to be hit, though, and she cuffs Kelli nicely when the singer moves in on her, forcing her to back off, and now she follows Kelli to the ropes , hooking her to the face, only to take a hard jab in the mouth from the singer, followed by a series of good right hand shots to her body, and the blonde’s covering up as Kelli starts to unload, and the model doesn’t look as solid going backwards as she does coming forwards, with Kelli giving her a hard time as the opening round closes.

Round 2

The girls are swapping punches again, and the action here is robust as they give each other hard punches, neither wanting to give ground. One will have to give though, as the shots fly in – and it’s Kelli, as Doutzen pops a great right hook on her jaw, and that has her dropping backwards. Doutzen gives a little half grin as she gets closer to Kelli – she knows now she can hurt her – and she starts to snap jabs into the singer’s face, not the hardest jabs she can throw, but they keep Kelli on the back foot, and she can’t quite connect with her own counterpunching, and Kelli’s looking a little slow as the round draws to a close, getting beaten to the punch by the Dutch girl.

Round 3

Doutzen’s certainly getting into this fight now, and she’s noticeably quicker than Kelli, her punches zipping home, while Kelli’s seem almost not to reach their target, and she’s having to back away and cover. Doutzen comes in again, but she’s a little too close, and Kelli hits her, sending her backwards, follows her quickly, but gets tagged again as Doutzen gives her a couple of sturdy left hooks to the face, and now the model uses her reach to pepper Kelli, the singer taking some crisp punches which are beginning to sting her a little, and she backs off, covers up, then clinches, using her strength to keep Doutzen away from landing meaningful punches, and she’s got Kelli looking confused at the bell.

Round 4

Doutzen’s beginning to ooze class now, whipping punches into Kelli’s face, finding her an easier target as she begins to slow down, and she slows her down some more by whacking a couple of tasty left hooks into her ribs, punches that bring a little whimper from Kelli’s lips. Kelli punches her way off the ropes, but now they trade again in the centre of the ring, and Doutzen lands a good combination, Kelli’s nose now dribbling a little blood, and she backs away, taking another swift left hook to the lips before she gets out of range. Now Kelli’s all defence, protecting herself well, and not letting Doutzen land her stinging hooks, blocking her jabs, too, keeping her gloves up there by her face right through to the end of the round.

Round 5

Kelli comes off her stool looking eager, and she throws some good punches into Doutzen’s face, making the Dutch girl take half a step back, but that seems to give the model more room to land her own counter punches, and she fizzes a jab into Kelli’s mouth, then rips her with a right hook, and another, and that’s put Kelli down on her backside, the singer up again at 6, but she gets a faceful of leather immediately, and she’s defending again, blocking Doutzen’s best efforts, and she’s trying to frustrate her. Doutzen finds Kelli’s body with good right hook, bringing her guard down, and she whips a good right into the singer’s face, leaving her stunned as bell rings again.

Round 6

Doutzen keeps up the pressure on Kelli, and she’s now getting her gloves past Kelli’s defence, and the singer’s head is getting bopped backwards over and over again. Kelli’s backed up to the ropes, and she takes a great right hook to the jaw, the girl sliding along the ropes a little, and Doutzen looks more and more confident now, with Kelli’s face swelling quite painfully, and now Doutzen gives Kelli a left hook, a right hook, another left, and down goes Kelli again, blood running down her face from her nose, as she gets back to her feet at 7. Doutzen glances at the referee, wondering if he’ll stop this fight now, and she seems to be easing off in the final stages of the round, maybe conscious that she’s in danger of damaging the Brit, who looks almost defenceless now.

Round 7

Kelli’s a brave girl, but she’s getting well beaten now, and the girl has no answer as the blonde piles into her again, the blood just pouring from that nose, and she’s breathing through an open mouth, in danger now of getting her jaw broken as Doutzen hits her solidly. Again Kelli drifts into the ropes, and again Doutzen hits her, Kelli’s knees buckling, she clinches until the referee parts the girls, and at last he looks into Kelli’s eyes and stops the fight.

Result: Doutzen Kroes stopped Kelli Young in round 7

Poor Kelli – she was a little ring rusty, and she paid the penalty. Doutzen seems happy, and she really seems to be improving after her setbacks. One thing’s for sure – she wants to get Karolina Kurkova in the ring, and what a fight that could be!
