BBU Fight Night in Cardiff
(Beever's Babes vs Foxfire Atlantic Boxing)
Posted by Knowlesey on March 14, 2013, 2:45 pm
Alesha’s BBU career appears to be in freefall at the moment, and if she loses this fight (and she could, because Kate has a punch on her) she may find her status has gone all the way from champion to jobber. Add to that the fact that, with Denise van Outen fanning the flames of hatred, the loser of tonight’s fight will be caned, and it becomes clear that this is a ‘must win’ fight for Alesha Dixon.
First into the ring is Kate, wearing a black bikini and an angry frown, and she’s quickly followed by Alesha, who wears a baby blue bra and pants set.
Round 1
Alesha’s swift around the ring, and her punches are swift, too, as she jabs and moves, jabs and moves, not letting the more static Kate stick one of her big punches on her, definitely wary of the older girl. Again Alesha whips a punch into Kate’s jaw, and snaps her head back, then rat-a-tats on her cheeks, reddening them already. Kate’s beginning to look clumsy by comparison to Alesha, the fight just not suiting her at all, and Alesha’s dictating to her, again smacking quick jabs into her face, Kate stepping back, and now she lands at last, slamming her heavy right hook into the singer’s jaw, and Alesha looks stunned, drifts backwards, and Kate gives her a little punishment, her punches to Alesha’s body designed to take the speed out of her legs.
Round 2
Now the fight’s starting to go the way Kate likes it, as she trades punches with Alesha just in her own corner, her hooks to the singer’s face now getting through, and she starts to come forwards now, slamming Alesha to the body instead, pushing her backwards. Alesha’s no longer jabbing and moving – she’s taking some heavy shots to her ribs and flanks, and she just can’t keep the actress away, starts to look poor, and she’s certainly being hurt by those body shots, the singer not able to move from the neutral corner she’s being closed into, and there’s that right hook again, and Alesha’s down! There’s not long to go in the round as she gets to her feet at 7, and Kate goes for her, whipping in a good combination to her face to close the round.
Round 3
Again Kate’s got that right hook working, and she’s ramming it into Alesha’s ribcage, making the singer squeal out in pain, then she pops a left onto her liver, and Alesha’s starting to fall apart. Kate thuds another punch into Alesha’s body then gives her a good combination to the face, and she sits her down with a left hook this time, Alesha on the canvas with her back to the cornerpost, and she rises slowly at 8, taking her time. Kate wants to put Alesha away – but she’s getting a little over anxious, and trying to find that big punch, whilst Alesha at last looks able to avoid her wildest haymakers, stay out of trouble, and begin to recover her legs, making Kate chase her, jabbing at her face on the retreat, and despite her dominance, Kate’s looking clumsy again as the round closes.
Round 4
It’s more punishment for Alesha as the round starts, with Kate laying into her body again, but still maybe overdoing that arcing right hook, which Alesha blocks with some ease. In fact, Alesha’s starting to claw her way back in this fight, dancing and jabbing again despite the hammer her body’s taken, and she’s outpacing Kate, landing some sweet punches – but she take a big left to the body there, and that’s slowed her down! Alesha’s static on the ropes again, and she needs to move, can’t afford to trade, slips along the ropes, and finds space at last, lands some of her own punches once more, and gets off those ropes, jabbing away at a tiring Kate Winslet, the actress looking deflated, even though she’s still bossed this round.
Round 5
Kate looks slower now, and Alesha’s sensing it, the singer rejuvenated now, and jabbing quite beautifully, finding Kate’s face, then she gets out of trouble before the actress can land her punishing, if predicable, responses. Kate’s still in the centre of the ring though, making sure that Alesha has to use her effort to dance and skip around her, but those jabs are landing far too often, and Kate’s face is now reddened again, with a bruise starting to show itself and swell on her left cheek. The round is drawing to a close, and now Alesha looks more and more confident, and she lands three punches in succession, jab, cross, jab – this time Kate takes a step back, and now she’s backed up to the ropes, and for the first time she’s looking second best, with Alesha getting her punches home with ease.
Round 6
Alesha’s looking good now, and she’s in control of this fight, albeit well behind on points, following the early knockdowns. In pop those jabs of hers, and Kate’s head is being banged back every time they land, Alesha standing closer now, content that she has Kate weakened and defensive, and she whips a couple of hooks into her body as well, just to make sure she knows how that feels, then she slips those hooks into her face again, and Kate’s bleeding from her lips, manages to muscle her way off the ropes, throwing random and ragged punches towards Alesha, not landing anything, then she gets straightened up with a combination from the athletic dancer, the balance now swinging towards Alesha.
Round 7
Alesha’s well on top now, and she’s beginning to track Kate, punching her face as she whips her backwards across the ring, and she catches her with a good left hook, Kate stumbling a little, and there’s another one, and she’s put Kate down with that! Kate doesn’t seem to know what’s going on, but she’s up at 7, and now Alesha’s laying into her again, hitting her with straight punches, left then right, Kate unable to avoid her, offering her next to no guard, and she’s down again, face very bloody now, as she stands before the referee at 8, her nose split across the bridge, and now Alesha bangs another good combination into her face, trying to finish her off, but she runs out of time.
Round 8
Kate really is very weary now, struggling to get off her stool, and Alesha’s bobbing around, goading her, inviting her to try to hit her. Fans are cheering Alesha on, “Go on darlin’ finish ‘er off!” or, “Give it to ‘er!” seem popular, and she decides to oblige them, sending Kate’s head upwards with a left uppercut, then crashing a right hook across her jaw, and Kate is down and out!
Result: Alesha Dixon knocked Kate Winslet out in round 8.
After her early setbacks, Alesha looked good. Not yet back to her best, but this win will boost her confidence – not that she’s ever been too short of that!
It takes a while for Kate to be brought round, and when she is, Alesha seems to be taking great pleasure in hauling her across the ring, glances at Denise van Outen, and asks her, “Am I released from your ownership?” The blonde nods, “Yes – you deserve it!” and she hands Alesha the cane, adding, “Make the most of this! I’m coming for you again!” Alesha seems unflustered, and snaps at Kate, “Let’s get those knickers down, eh?” With that, Alesha rips down Kate’s bikini bottoms, and bends her over the ropes, before administering six painful swipes across Ms Winslet’s buttocks, and the actress is left to sob alone in the ring for several minutes after Alesha struts away. |
