BEFORE: Often the case that the nicest girls are the bitterest rivals in the ring...hard-feelings of Yustman/Vandervoort spill over to Yustman/MEW in a surprisingly tense series of prefight conferences. "I've already taken care of their best girl," Odette shrugs at podium, "I view Mary as a mopping-up operation - a chance to put my foot down on Foxfire and make sure those girls know the score. Once Mary's on her back, it'll be like I'm leaving their whole gym in rubble!"

Mary scowling, decisive in rebuttal. "Girls who try to run the table on Foxfire generally get the tables turned on THEM!" Winstead emphasizes in prefight. Odette just stepping in, bending her back into shots; straightening up into uppercuts - shellacking Mary around the ring. Winstead stumble-bumming around, but curvy legs holding her up...she's a devastated beauty taking a terrible ass-kicking, but she refuses to hit the canvas. Odette panting - pale skin slicking up shiny with her own sweat...she strokes hurt to Mary in a swinging Yustman first!

R2: Sturdy Winstead recovers well, comes out dukes-at-mouth, looking to grind. Odette loping to her right - poking out the lead right as jab, then twisting to sling the left hook around, hoping to clout Mary with the change-up. Winstead moving head well, weaving under rangy shots on approach; jabbing stubby from her crouch...she drives Yustman to ropes, moves in to consolidate MEW-style. Mary bobbing on the spot, her head at Odette's tummy or chest level; Winstead pounding away tightly-turned round punches at Odette's slender hips/flanks, punishing Yustman's sleek chassis. Odette: showing earmuff, elbows in tight...she absorbs the thumping, then drops pesky left/rights hammer-style from her guard - covering up quick as Mary hurls haymakers to head. Winstead slamming away - occasionally bodying Odette to ropes with left arm around Yustman's right flank to corral her...Mary crowding her girl, thumping away for points through 2.

R3: Yustman in wide stance, roaming clockwise with stepping pivots, dangling the left hand at hip/issueing snappy up-jabs while right hand guard cheek. Mary baffled, weight on back (right) leg, dukes at temples...Odette's slick, whippy stick keeping Mary defensive. Yustman circling Mary in graceful, leggy pivots around the poke - dropping in the odd straight right hand head or body in unpredictable rhythms...THIS is the fight Mary's fight-planners dreaded. Yustman essentially unchallenged, picking Winstead apart from outside, hurting her on occasion when that sinewy right crashes through guard. Bell: flawless boxing from Odette has her raising her arms/doing a sexy little salsa-step in celebration; well-touched Mary scowling, getting enswell on her cheeks after eating a buffet of Odette-leather in the third.

R4: Odette grinning, glowing with confidence...she steps-in rangy with the left hook to chin, hurting Mary at the open! Women trade right hands to no effect; swing-around left hooks...Mary stumbling to her left as Odette gets the better of shellacking trade. Yustman hops-in close with the short left uppercut to chin...Mary picked up HARD, put wobbly-butt, but subsequent trade in chopping short-rights PUTS ODETTE IN TROUBLE! Yustman's legs suddenly all bandy and loose - right (back) foot stepping way too far forward - hands out front, pawing the air - eyes wide n' glassy! Mary: glaring; resetting her feet; chopping an extra right hand to Odette's chin...Yustman sputtering out of orbit, backing gangly into ropes with a stunned look of disbelief. MARY: scooting-to, jabbing Odette's breasts, leaning in with another chopping right to chin...head-swivel Odette - that long, graceful body swooning forward as toned legs stiffen up...YUSTMAN CRASHES TO CANVAS! Odette stretched on her belly, helpless; Mary hopping over the fallen vixen - realizing neutral corner's the other way, so hopping back over Odette en-route and it's OVER! Odette can't get off her tits - KO4 in raucous fashion, Mary Elizabeth Winstead!

After: Laura V the first girl into the ring, hugging and jumping with Mary...Winstead executing a bruising, Hagler-esque pursuit-and-destroy fightplan to extinguish elegant Odette tonight. "She was way too cocky tonight," a busted-up, but jubilant Mary confides in postfight. "She was giving me fits from outside, but when she hurt me, she was like 'a-ha - I'll step in and finish you,' and I was like 'give it your best shot you witch!' She poured the shellack to me, but my legs are too strong for that - she wanted to clean me up and that's what got her knocked the hell out! It's an awesome win for me - ANOTHER awesome win. I really feel I'm hitting my stride these days, claiming against good fighters...I'm on a roll and I don't think anybody can stop me!"
