This is the day the whole PageThrees camp waited for. One of their own, Nicola McLean, has earned herself a chance of claiming the first BBU title belt in stable's history after brutally pounding Alex Curran into defeat in Liverpool several days ago. However the reigning champion is of the highest order. Erika Heynatz (Wildetime Boxing) has won all her eight BBU fights in emphatic knockout manner and quite frankly no one has even come close to deposing the Aussie ruler from her throne. Will Nicola cause the upset and send Heynatz back Down Under without the belt? There aren't many people inside O2 Arena who think that way but after a night filled with P3 success anything can happen in the Main Event. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.

Round 1:
Nicola takes it easy at the start with the champion allowing her to do so and just peppering her flesh from mid-range as McLean stretches her arms and tries to land some leather on the body but Erika stands tall and counters over the top, smacks the challenger on the mouth and offers her a cheeky smile. McLean switches low, goes around the elbows but eats another overhand on the chin and steps back as Heynatz threatens to follow up but only fakes a jabbing combo and has McLean tripping over her own feet in avoidance. She jumps back to the ropes and almost waits what the champion has in store for her but Heynatz sees out the round in laid-back demeanour.

Round 2:
Still no rush from the champion and Nicola tries to take her chances, closes in and throws a series on the ribcage, flicks an uppercut on the chest but gets blocked and a single hand response nails her on the mouth again. Heynatz dekes around her, throws more shots from the side and targets the temple but Nicola slips under the hook and whacks Erika on the liver area, pounds her on the navel and looks to pummel through on the chest for good until Heynatz slams an uppercut on the counter with Nicola's assets the more obvious target on hand. McLean still keen to fight in close range, peppers the ribs but misses her shots on the face as Erika's quick on her feet and lands a straight jab on the nose which snaps the younger blonde's head back and pushes her to the mid distance. Once again Heynatz threatens with a follow up approach but Nicola leaps back towards the ropes and stays clear of trouble for remainder of the round.

Round 3:
Heynatz finally drops the teasing and lashes out after the challenger and Nicola can't escape from close range, whips a hook on the body but gets countered with a great uppercut on the chin and gets rooted to the spot as Erika peppers her ribcage and makes her moan. McLean throws shots from behind the guard but crashes off the gloves and eats more leather on the midriff, leans on the champion and seeks a clinch, gets nailed on the jaw instead and wobbles back as Erika pierces her mitts with a cross-hooking combo, bounces off the nose and slams a right hook on the mouth which spins the buxom model to the ropes. Quick leap to the side... not quick enough as Heynatz follows through with a piledriver on the navel and keeps the younger blonde trapped... ferocious pounding to the stomach finally gets the champion in her stride and she uppercuts the rack just before the bell with Nicola's eyes wide open in wake of that action.

Round 4:
More harrassing from the champion who methodically walks the English blonde down and keeps her weaving around under series of jabs. Nicola's not a speed demon by any means but she can't rely on her strenght here; lacks precision and crashes off the arms with Erika's low jabs tormenting her ribs and slowing down with every second. Erika drops her arms, teases Nicola into making some moves and encouraged by her camp on comes Nicola, misses a left hook on the temple though, skims off the glove with a follow up and Heynatz slams her on the navel again, flicks an uppercut on the chest and settles into close range, pounds away at the model's midriff and makes her moan; pushes back to the ropes and signs off the round with a cross-hooking combo that McLean was able to block for her own sake.

Round 5:
McLean finally scores some success with an early jabbing series on the ribs; she dekes under a counter hook and pummels between the arms, rocks the champion's jugs and clips her chin with a fine uppercut. Erika's head snaps back and she barks in anger, misses more response though and a single overhand from McLean catches her on the mouth and causes to wince. McLean charges to the body!!! She pummels around the elbows and has the champion covering uo low, but another fine uppercut nails her on the jaw and Nicola whips a right hook on the eye and pushes Erika back to the ropes where she sends more jabs on the tummy. Heynatz tries to clinch.. gets laced on the crotch with a really low one and moans in pain but the ref has none of it! Angry shots from the Wildetime corner as McLean hammers the champion's tummy along the ropes and bends her forward, slams a fine uppercut on the chest and rocks Erika with a right hook on the temple just before the bell. Nicola struts back to her corner on a hurry and ignores Heynatz's death stare but that was a really obvious low blow she got away with there and the Aussie blonde looks upset. It's not the ideal tactic given Erika's past record but Nicola nods back to her corner and keeps her focus.

Round 6:
Heynatz on a rampage from the bell! She's keen to make Nicola pay for that rabbit shot and just closes her down and rains punches on the body... McLean fights back, strikes over the top and snaps Erika's head back, eats a similar leather on the mouth and a vicious exchange sees both blondes pound each other in the middle of the ring as the crowd errupts in joy. Heynatz slams a cross on Nicola's chin to wobble her and cause her to miss a hooking effort... McLean loses her balance and Erika whips an uppercut on the jaw, follows up with a right hand on the eye before the challenger can raise her arms in time and it rocks McLean on her feet, midriff assault thereafter pushes Nicola back to the ropes and has Erika slamming more hooks on the ribcage with the younger blonde seeking a clinch and yelping in pain. No good as Heynatz slams another uppercut on the jaw and nails her foe on the liver area... Nicola's knees buckle and she falls forward, gets whacked with another quick uppercut on the chin... AND DOWN GOES McLEAN ON HER KNEES, just unable to handle the champion's venom along the ropes. Heynatz slowly retreats and allows the ref to start the count but Nicola is up at seven and charges back at the champion in sensational fashion! The Gauntlet in full flight as McLean slams a series on the ribs and forces Erika back, reaches out after her but only grazes the arms and falls forward, leaving her feet behind... LEFT HOOK ON THE TEMPLE, RIGHT JAB ON THE MOUTH... Heynatz with a brutal combo on the counter SENDS NICOLA BACK ON THE CANVAS and barks in anger with the younger model on all fours and struggling to beat the count... You don't mess with the champion... McLean beats the count at eight but looks glassy-eyed... ref gives her thumbs up and it's Heynatz pouring with leather after the command, she pushes the challenger back to the ropes, bounces off the jugs but splits the mitts moments later as Nicola looks in some discomfort after that second knockdown, head-snapping combo keeps her trapped on the ropes and a series on the cheeks causes more painful moans from McLean... Heynatz silences her with a cross-hooking combo on the mouth, whacks her on the navel and pummels through on the rack.. Nicola's arms drop to the side and now she just takes unanswered punishment with Erika rocking her back and forth in ruthless fashion.... Another left hook on the eye drops Nicola's head down and she sags back on the ropes looking semi-unconscious... AND THE REF STEPS IN... prevents Heynatz from knocking McLean out of her bikini and embraces the battered challenger who just had a nightmare in the sixth. It doesn't matter much to the older blonde though... TKO R6 and STILL the BBU welterweight champion... Erika Heynatz!!!

Post-fight:
A brave effort from the PageThrees' challenger but sending that low blow was clearly a bad move and just made Erika Heynatz angry. And you don't want to make such a commanding force within BBU as Heynatz angry. What happened next was the champion's reply and in fact she's not done yet, wants to repeat her Michelle McCool face slam only for Nicola's stablemates to crowd out the ring and prevent their compatriot from suffering any further misery. Holly Peers, Lucy Pinder and Aaliyah Johnson all gang up on Heynatz and it's three against one all of the sudden... but the IQ isn't their strongest suit and they all jumped the gun with Erika still wearing her mitts. Quick jab from the left and Peers is flat on her back, a right hand on the tummy sends Pinder scowling on her knees and Aaliyah realizes she's not making any inroads here either.

"Make way for the champion, you stupid twat!", Johnson duly steps back and allows Erika to walk to her corner and retain the BBU title belt from her camp. A champion's parade follows with the crowd applauding her ninth consecutive victory as the PageThrees' Gauntlet ends with a sobbing Nicola McLean leaving the ring with a gigantic ice pack around her eye, Lucy Pinder wrapping her arms around her aching midriff and Aaliyah Johnson giving a dazed Holly Peers a friendly shoulder. All this under detailed scrutiny from Heynatz herself who plants both her arms on her hips, places her belt across her shoulder and just poses as the next goddess of the XXI century, a status she's long achieved in the BBU history books with her twelve month reign among fellow welters. "OK, wimps, so who's next? Is there anyone left there capable of giving me a proper challenge?" Most people in the crowd seem unable to find a name worthy of challenging Erika right now and even Denise van Outen shrugs her shoulders in the BBU TV booth. It looks like the long and hot Australian summer is set to stay in Britain this year again...

But somewhere out there Sabrina Washington is ready to have a second bite of the Heynatz cherry....
