The Manchester Velodrome plays host to Gemma Merna's debut in the Lookout! Atlantic colors after switching from Beever's Babes back in February. Charlie Webster is quite fond of the blonde's prospects against Jacqueline Jossa since the raven-haired actress lost both her BBU fights to date while Merna is a former flyweight champion and has much more experience under her belt. This is Gemma's 17th fight already but just six wins indicate the champion's struggles in her last months with the Beevers. The BBU TV crew has no doubt it's about time to change the script and bring the Hollyoaks starlet back to the spotlight! BBU simply needs Merna winning as much as possible allthough the likes of Michelle Keegan or Nikki Sanderson would tend to disagree with that statement.

Gemma Merna wearing a navy blue bikini and black gloves. Blonde hair in loose waves. Jacqueline Jossa wearing a black bikini and red gloves. Black hair in loose waves.

Round 1:
Merna shows her intentions early and rips into the brunette straight from the bell, spikes her on the ribs and pummels through on the chest as Jacqueline has to cover up but Gemma slams a cross-hooks against her guard, splits the mitts and clubs her on the nose. She follows up with an overhand left on the temple and has Jossa backing away quickly but the pace is with the blonde actress and she keeps spiking her foe on the body, flicks another uppercut on the chin and sags the brunette on the ropes. More vicious leather around the elbows causes Jossa to sink on her knees as she tries to avoid the blonde's barrage but simply can't, gets pinned butt-in-ropes as Merna whips another uppercut on the chin, buries a low jab on the navel and finishes off her rout with more jabbing on the ribs with Jacqueline looking just happy to surive the opening three minutes in one piece.

Round 2:
Jossa tries to hang back but Merna closes her down and continues with the barrage, cross-hooks the guard and whips a left hook on the cheek, has Jacqueline tripping over her own feet in avoidance but misses a put-away hook on the nose, reverts into a jabbing combo on the stomach and Jossa is forced to stay in close range. She pummels to the body herself but catches the forearms and Gemma rocks her head back and forth with more accurate hooks over the top. Crowd goes wild as the blonde buries a low jab on the navel after another switch and it's non-stop rout from the Hollyoaks girl as she uppercuts the chest, flicks a right hook on the eye and has Jossa moaning in pain. Left hook on the cheek, right hand on the jaw... Merna shatters the brunette's guard and DROPS JACQUELINE ONTO HER KNEES as the ammount of punches keeps stacking up... Jossa teary-eyed, unable to cope with the vicious barrage... beats the count at six but Merna swarms all over her immediately afterwards. She keeps the brunette on her toes and spikes her over the top, just pummels around the ring back and forth until Jacqueline loses her breath and slows down in the final minute. Merna with a piercing hook on the jaw, spins a hapless brunette back to the ropes and traps her there with more low jabbing on the ribcage; Jossa just sinks on her knees and soaks up all the punishment she can, sinks on her knees but can't prevent the blonde from pounding her guts out for remainder of the round. Forget Isla Fisher, Gemma Merna is handing the proper beatdown of the night here!

Round 3:
Jacqueline took some time to get up from her stool and gets trapped in close range seconds into the third; Merna rocks her head back and forth straight away, pummels through on the chest and flicks an uppercut on the chin that staggers the poor brunette and allows Gemma to throw more shots over the top. Jossa yelps in pain, has her head snapped back and just closes her eyes as the blonde rips into her chest, bangs a series against the bikini top and Jacqueline's arms drop low; Merna with a textbook uppercut on the jaw... JOSSA DROPS ONTO HER KNEES AGAIN and can barely hold back the tears now. Courageous effort to beat the count at seven is undone moments later... Gemma with a cross-hooking combo on the mouth, splits the gloves again and now makes the brunette's chin her clay pigeon, whacks another series with Jossa closing her eyes and slipping away into dremland... Arms go numb but Merna keeps doing what she does best tonight; hammers more leather on the brunette's jaw and KNOCKS JACQUELINE UNCONSCIOUS on her feet... Poor brunette drops onto the floor with her eyes closed and she's out... she is out... Beatdown of the Night candidate as Gemma Merna storms into brutal KO R3!!!

Post-fight:
That was plain ugly for all Jossa supporters but the entire Manchester crowd applauds Gemma's sparkling Lookout! Atlantic debut! That was the old champion's form on display admittedly against an inferior opponent. But Merna has stumbled over many seemingly inferior rivals in recent months and she will take this victory without looking back at Jacqueline's record.

Big smile on Charlie Webster's face in the BBU TV booth as she watches the medics carrying the unconscious Jossa onto the stretcher and off the ring; she predicted Gemma hammering the brunette into a brutal defeat and has every reason to be proud of herself. But whether Merna is back for good or just took advantage of facing a designated jobber is for another night to settle.

Final result: Gemma Merna def. Jacqueline Jossa KO3.
