There's another girl aiming at the flyweight glory beside the two Foxfire Atlantic blonde vixens that just left the ring and it's Kear's Kats' hottest new property, Jade Ewen. The exotic Sugababe is yet to lose in her BBU career allthough a points decision over a mediocre Isla Fisher silenced some of the experts thinking Jade will produce another Malike Menard-like winning run. Jade has to keep knocking her rivals out if she's as good as some fans claim and credit to her, she's not avoding big names whatsoever as she takes on Geri Halliwell in a mouth-watering battle of the music industry.

Geri's been labelled "too old to be successful" by Charlie Webster but the redhead firecracker suffered just two defeats in the last 18 months and send many younger opponents packing in sublime fashion. Just ask Hannah Spearritt who almost got her jaw broken by Geri's lethal jabbing power. There's no question that Halliwell still has that one-punch destruction in her but can nail the highly-touted Ewen who is believed to have the biggest punch among the younger generation is another story.

Round 1:
Geri storms out of her stool and tries to intimidate the young upstart with some jabbing on the body; she bounces off the chest early, rocks Jade's assets to the crowd's delight but gets nailed with an overhand right as the response comes sooner than the redhead anticipated and it's straight jabbing on the nose following with Jade showing her disdain in convincing fashion. She pummels through between the arms and slams more jabs on the chest herself, buries a low jab on the navel and outworks Geri in close range, flicks an uppercut but misses and eats a quick hook on the temple as the older girl pierces her guard. It's a high-tempo opening with Halliwell refusing to play second fiddle to the younger girl but she crashes off the guard late on and must weave around some hooking efforts herself as the action finally calms down in the dying seconds.

Round 2:
Jade's up early and jabbing to the chest again as she beats Geri for pace and rocks her jugs well, Halliwell works the single hand over the top but gets clipped by a quick uppercut on the chin and wobbles back as Ewen pours in with a hooking combo on the nose and sways the redhead on her feet, switches low and bangs a series on the stomach, has Geri wincing in pain and covering up but keeps laying into her anyway and slices the guard, bounces off the nose and does her best to back Halliwell against the ropes but the veteran uses her footwork to stay clear and forces a clinch when Jade just refused to yield and tries to go around her elbows to reach for the ribcage area. Geri shoves Jade away before ref can separate them but as she intends to leap after her, she gets caught on the fly with Ewen showing some crafty moves, she whacks Halliwell on the nose, follows up on the belly button and spins her back to the ropes but the bell prevents her from making any further inroads.

Round 3:
Geri didn't like getting bullied around in the previous round and leaps after the youngster, trademark Spice on display, just refusing to stay on the back foot but she crashes off the guard with her hooks and eats a right hook on the temple instead. Jade leans on her and indicates she's not scared by Halliwell's past record, keeps piercing her mitts and bounces off the nose again, snaps the head back and has Geri bending forward, trying to work some low jabs but striking over the top proves lethal as Jade smacks the redhead on the cheeks, throws a low jab around the elbows herself and catches Halliwell on the liver area. Geri felt that and drops her arms, protecting the aching midsection as Jade pummels on the face again, gives Geri a couple of nasty lumps and pushes her back to the ropes where she continues to spike the liver area as Halliwell moans in pain and seeks a clinch but gets outworked badly and welcomes the bell with a huge sight of relief.

Round 4:
More tormenting jabs from Jade who just doesn't give the older girl any respite and quite frankly she's making the once fearsome redhead look very sluggish as she thumps a hooking combo on the face, splits the mitts again and bounces off the nose. Geri's face begins to match her hair color slowly but surely as Ewen whacks some uppercuts on the chest, forces Halliwell to drop the guard and blasts a left hook on the nose again which bursts her nostrils open and there's some blood on display now. That only fuels her anger and she throws another flurry of punches as the aching rival; Halliwell can't live with the pace here, tries to force a clinch, gets her head snapped back instead and Jade pours onto the face, cuts Geri even further and the ammount of punches just sinks Halliwell on her knees. In the final minute it's more one-way traffic with Ewen pushing her foe on the ropes and lashing out at her ribcage and Geri's reduced into a training dummy here, quite senastional scenes inside the Velodrome with Jade clubbing her ribs raw and punching the air in delight at the bell with Halliwell staring at the canvas in pure disbelief and bleeding from her busted nostrils.

Round 5:
Jade moves in for the kill, snaps Geri's head one more time and has the older girl moaning in pain again. The speed and agility are firmly with the younger singer and she bashes Halliwell's ribs in the middle of the ring, shatters her guard again with more uppercuts on the jaw and there's no response coming at her whatsoever with Geri rooted to the spot and just taking punishment at will. Jade goes around the high guard, nails it on the temples but seeks more nose damage as she whacks leather between the arms, makes a mess of both Halliwell's defence and nostrils and all the work done during the interval comes undone as Geri begins to bleed again with Ewen ripping into her face like crazy, another head-snapping on display and this time it's too much for the veteran to handle as she just crumbles onto her knees in the middle of the ring and the blood now flows from both her nostrils and the ref pulls the raging Ewen away to start the count. Geri's up at six but her face is a bloody mess, yep, here comes the doctor and checks up with the wounded fighter. Slight delay in action but there's one minute remaining on the clock and Jade gets her chance of finishing the deal in proper fashion. Halliwell's given thumbs up but she's gone mentally and just walks into a right hook on the nose that causes another bleeding and Jade pours onto her face with no sympathy whatsoever, snaps the head back again, pushes her back to the ropes and keeps spiking her on the tummy. Geri doesn't even moan anymore, she's just getting bashed senseless with Ewen ripping her tummy apart, left uppercut follows on the nose and the blood spills onto Jade's bikini now and THE REF HAS SEEN ENOUGH... He drags the raging upstart away and embraces a battered redhead who doesn't seem to be aware of her whereabouts anymore... TKO R5 Jade Ewen in a truly brutal & bloody fashion!!!

Post-fight:
Jade Ewen made all the experts look smart as she simply bashed Geri Halliwell into a bloody mess! Age difference not withstanding that was just brutally effective and indicates Jade is the real deal with the gruesome ten round encounter against Isla Fisher a mere step-back. She can really enforce her presence in the ring and with the likes of Ashley Mulheron and newly-managed Gemma Merna flexing their muscles too, the flyweight division is far from being pushed down the excitement order.

On the other hand this might prove to be the beginning of the end as far as Geri Halliwell's elite career is concerned. She's endured some tough fights in recent months but usually managed to turn them around and indicated she's still got it. Well, Jade Ewen gave her probably the worst beating of her BBU career and there was nothing accidental about it. This was just raw power and strenght which roughed Geri up and quite frankly she must consider herself lucky that the fight was stopped before Jade could have rearranged her face for good.
