Before: Eva one of those hungry cougars: veteran skills withy the appetite of a rookie makes her a dangerous prospect. Good Test for young Durance, who opens an early favourite, but smart money out of the East Coast evens this thing up quick. “I Have nothing but respect for Larue,” admits Erica in preflight. “You’re not going to get me to anything bad about her. I’ve trained just as hard for this girl as I did for Theron--you just can’t look past an Eva Larue.” Eva tanned, fit in white lace motif bikini--Erica in her shades of blue setting sun motif HMK battle togs.
During R1: Energetic in and out, girls thrusting sat each other, testing reflexes, looking for weakness. Larue with a nifty way of extending her left under Erica’s right, edging in with the shoulder to step Durance back to the ropes, then turning on a tight right clout to the chops, carrying forward into Erica to smother the receipt. Nifty veteran looks separating Larue in the first.
R2: Eva with that slide-in, walk-back, clout-n’-smother routine shakes Durance up early, really rocking Erica at the ropes, forcing her to hold on. Ref’s break--Eva moves in like a pro--jab-jabbing up top to get Durance’s mitts up, then bang-bang right/lefts against that taut waist. Nice spanking shots--Larue snatching at Erica’s body, bringing the mitts back quick, operating out of a predatory crouch, weight forward for maximum leverage downstairs. Jug? Gotta be some--Larue banging away on breast meat with tidy, rising lefts and rights, then digging hooks low and away as Erica folds forward. Durance soundly thumped. But rallies late: she punches her way off the ropes to avoid a bully’s shutout in the second.
R3: Durance up tempos, turns boxer4 to regain the initiative. Erica on her toes, shifting briskly left, spritizing Eva the jab--Larue showing earmuff, parrying poke with either open palm, unable to close and bring her guns to bear. Erica with saucy payback late: round all sewn up she shoots a brace f rapid one-twos against Eva’s hulking daytime hooters, pinking them up nicely at the bell and bringing a dull glare of hate to Larue’s eyes.
R4: Durance circling, spotting her jab to belly and face--she’s got Larue on her heels, turning midring. midway through, Erica comes down off the bike, sets herself, turns puncher., Girls shoulder to shoulder trading digging hooks amidships, doubling up to hook jugs and chins--EVA SPUTTERS BACK IN SHOCK! Larue put wobbly butt, wide-eyes--she covers up in trouble at the ropes as Durance hops-to. Erica crouching, leaning in to shoulder Eva in the guard while palming her hips, then snap-snatching quick-slashing lefts and rights--Durance never better as she chops and hacks away at :Larue’s glorious dark-tanned torso. Down the stretch OH THAT CRAFTY EVA! Larue taking a pasting, but riding it out well, rolling shots at the ropes--she turns on a sneaky counter-hook to chin, spanking the taste out of wobbly-butt Erica to midring at the bell.
R5: Durance setting hips and feet, dipping her left shoulder to sell the hook downstairs BRINGS THE RIGHT HAND INSTEAD! Chopping shot on the cheek startles Larue--another has her shook--while she’s figuring it out, Durance NOW brings the hook, swiveling Larue’s head and sending her reeling! Eva badly rattled--glassy eyed, mouth open--as she tears into Eva’s stout ribs, beating the beef beneath the jugline, tugging paunch hooks, working her way up torso to CLANG away on chin. THE REF JUMPS IN! Dazed, battered Larue cuddled to safety--Erica’s nostrils flaring as she lingers at the man’s back for a moment, glaring eyes warning Eva to “stay down”. She doesn’t have to worry: TKO5 Erica Durance.
After: Durance the Destroyer returns--taking some good tuff clout from Eva and bowling her over in return. Erica just too expensive, too young--Larue not an easy mark for any lightweight, but veteran comes away from this fight with new respect for the kid. “Her reputation is well deserved,” admits a puffy, beat up Eva in post fight. “I thought I could box with her and trade with her, but I probably should have done more hold-and-hit, tried to down-tempo her more. She’s got the better of me because I underestimated her, but I truly believe I can beat this kind of fighter. I’kll be back--this is just a wake-up call, not a setback.”
