BEFORE: Harnois challenging a hall-of-famer? Is she in over her head, calling out The Sheriff? "Is she though?" Harnois smirks all I-know-something-you-don't-know at podium. "Is she The Sheriff in this fight? You are what you think you are, and I'm betting this fight is the best time to pounce Eliza Dushku, in her whole career. She's carrying doubts she's never had before. People are publicly saying she's shot, that she's damaged goods. HISC traded her, and even worse than that, they traded her for a second tier lightweight and they DIDN'T trade Mishy or Claire. They kept the gold, and they got rid of the old. I'm telling you, the first round of this fight will be very interesting, because maybe the hall of fame Eliza D doesn't show up. Maybe a lost little girl who doesn't know who she is anymore enters that ring. I can beat hell out of a lost little girl, and who knows, maybe I can give her a whole new identity going forward!"

Dushku ashen-faced...the sheer brazeness of Liz Harnois enough to tell Eliza that it's a whole different world post-HISC. "She's right," Eliza says after a long delay. "I'm going to have to prove myself all over again, and until I do, I can't say that I am what I was. I think I'm fit and strong mentally, but Elizabeth Harnois is right: you don't KNOW that stuff until you step in the ring and make it true. I'm not going to stand up here and trade barbs with Liz. It's a big night for her...she's getting to act the bully - I wouldn't want to spoil that for her. I'll let my fists redefine me and we'll see if she's right. Either she'll get to say who I am, or I will. But if it's me? She's going to regret her approach tonight. Big time."

During R1: Harnois looking to pounce out of the gate, swinging away as Eliza eases weight to back (right) leg, trails that low left hand, then walks aggressive blonde into wide, palm-down check-hook to chin! BLONDE GIRL ROCKED! Harnois sputtering out of orbit...she backs into ropes showing earmuff front, grunting hot as Dushku hooks ribcage/tummy off the front (left) leg. Dushku pumping methodical, bangin' that bodkin, then romping up top with hooks, clouting Harnois upside the head as Liz sits and soaks. Dushku settles in - using left shoulder/extended left elbow to reset on Liz, then snap-hooking to waist; rangy-hooking wide behind right elbow; tidying up hook/right hand combos short to Liz's guard. Harnois battered, but stoic in the pocket...throughout the middle minute, she manages a number of tactical clinches, earning ref's breaks, getting her wind back. Final minute sees Harnois trade effective left uppercuts with Dushku's hooks, backing brunette off. It's blonde coming forward in the dying moments - Eliza content to bank her points, use her legs to clock the round.

R2: Exact same thing - Harnois looking to be aggressive early, hurling haymakers at Dushku's head, hoping to take advantage of any doubts: Eliza anticipates, hooking off her back (right) leg, scoring again and again to Harnois' exposed chin as brawling blonde comes forward. Liz hurt again at the minute market, forming ragged earmuff/stooping forward behind mitts...blonde girl suffers as brunette retreats in good order, batting away thumbside-up right hands across flank-and-back; picking up tits via the jagged left uppercut; sidestepping at ropes to turn hurtin' Liz counter-clockwise. Down the stretch, Harnois recovers well - jabbing to get her balance while occupying Dushku, then trading effectively outside, forcing Eliza to eat right crosses as brunette comes up a bit short. Dushku taking the punches well, elects to circle-out, use her legs to bell - once again taking chips off the table with her legs.

R3: More conventional, patient and effective Harnois: totally different round. Blonde girl with mitts at cheeks, cautiously walking Eliza down, pitching the jab to Dushku's face, bouncing mitt off mug as brunette's forced to circle. Eliza roaming to her right - occasionally dropping hands to her sides and walking around the well-guarded and tense Elizabeth - then darting in to make something happen. Harnois disciplined - using the jab to mark Dushku's penetrations, then outhitting her in brisk exchanges...Eliza forced to withdraw/circle as blonde girl commands midring.

R4: Eliza feints like she's coming in hot; shifts weight to back (right) leg with left hand dangling...bait and switch works perfectly as Harnois wades in, only to munch on that swinging palm-down hook to teeth! Blonde buns a-wobbling as Harnois steps in fence-post holes...brunette patiently hopping close, dipping left shoulder, then placing TWO, snapping, will-sapping left hooks CHUP! CHUP! into Elizabeth's flat midriff. Blonde girl cringing at the touches, backing butt-into-ropes as she's leaning forward behind mitts...Dushku swaggers in, allowing herself just the hint of a grin. Eliza relaxed - touching Harnois' scalp with a measuring right, then taking a vicious bite out of Harnois' right flank via snappy left hook behind elbow. Liz whining as legs buckle, sitting her hurt in ropes: Dushku brings a cuffing hook across the guard, spooking Liz while dipping right shoulder for an angle on Harnie's left flank. Snapping right claims Lizzie's leftside lats - Dushku bringing her mitts back to her chest after scoring...she's just dipping side to side, sampling Liz with vicious licks, really spanking those ribs. Rhythmic licks from Eliza - side to side torso action; rip-snatch punches punctuated by little brushes or taps from either hand against Lizzie's guard/head. It's all too much, withering beatdown crippling the blonde, rendering her helpless, but allowing her to stand long enough to suffer...classic heartless Eliza Dushku having her way until Harnois drops to haunches and face, arms wrapped around throbbing midsection. Dushku turns, struts away all hips and grins: she's the KO4 victrix in hall-of-fame fashion.

After: Harnois giving a good account in spots - actually winning the third round outright, but it's a very clinical, sharp performance worthy of The Sheriff label. "Guess I'm still the same old bad-ass," Eliza grins in postfight, all trace of any lingering doubts banished by the sight of rickety Liz getting tensered-up in her corner. "All kidding aside, maybe I can't flatten this division like I once did, but I feel great, I felt quick and sharp in there tonight...I think I showed I've still got elite skills. Really looking forward to running into Claire and Mish at some point. Like, REALLY looking forward to it. It'd be fun to fight those girls without the cuffs on, you know?"
