BEFORE: "I'll batter Claire," Olivia assures the press in prefight. "I've knocked out lightweights - I'm basically a lightweight puncher...no way Claire's tricks hold up under my pounding. Think back through my career: it's basically littered with the crumpled bodies of clever blonde girls who thought they'd box me out. Ain't gonna happen."

Claire's unimpressed...as many boxers as Olivia's diminished, Claire's been in with as many brawlers. "You know, we'll see," Claire shrugs at podium. "Is she the biggest puncher I've ever faced? Probably, but that doesn't mean she's the BEST puncher. She thinks she'll land her power; I doubt she will, and even if she does, I've been known to survive hard knocks and come back...I don't see any reason why I wouldn't do the same here. I'm strong at bantam - really strong...it's not just finesse Olivia needs to be prepared for!"

Danes with a gorgeous bait and switch move - crouching down as girls approach; straightening up into the world's shortest hook-to-chin...Munn sent reeling wide-eyed to ropes, shocked by the fight's first punch! Danes scooting into position, freshening up Olivia's ribs via whapping left/rights; hooking Olivia's tits; ducking down, putting a hard left shoulder into Olivia's body to shunt her into ropes. Extra right uppercut picks up chin; quick left hook turns Olivia's face aside, then Danes withdraws, luring shaky Munn to midring. From there it's swivel-and-nibble from Claire - pivoting clockwise around a pesky jab; bobbing on the spot; using that bumping left shoulder to nudge Oli's body off balance. Bell: Claire making confident eye-contact...classic Danes to turn puncher, getting respect from the division's baddest brawler.

R2: Munn's recovered, attacking responsibly, keeping her right hand at cheek, bringing her feet with her as she hunts for Claire. Danes feinting, changing direction with abrupt pivots, minimizing contact...she's sliding around the ring - occasionally ducking inside to shoulder-bump Munn off balance. Olivia persistent, landing mostly on Claire's shoulders or hips as blonde girl's doing her thing...not a round Claire can win doing this, but she's keeping Olivia from landing large.

R3: CLAIRE GOES DOWN! Opening-moments flurry sees a right hand punch Claire onto her glutes...blonde girl bouncing right back up, but she's alarmed: Munn smells blood. Olivia quickly in after the 8 count, shoving Claire to ropes, whacking her hips/waistline thick, strapping lefts and rights...Danes covering up tight, keeping elbows in, crouching off ropes. Munn in strong position - looming over Claire, punishing blonde hips/flanks; pushing blonde shoulders; dipping down to dig uppercuts up underneath Claire's overhanging torso. CLAIRE GOES DOWN! Digging left uppercut to sternum knocks Claire's knees together, dropping her to all fours...Munn breathing hard, nodding aggressively at the sight of humbled Claire. Danes beats the count, cheeks flushed - she takes a step off the ropes to engage Olivia, bending down to bump left shoulder into Munn while pivoting around Olivia's right shoulder. Munn turning-with, trying to apply the finishing touches...Claire bumping-and-turning her girl, digging vicious left hooks to ribs out of the bob, moving her head like a champ. Midway through, trade in sharp left hooks/chopping right hands PUTS OLIVIA ON HER BUNS! Now MUNN'S shook up, taking her 8: ON COMES CLAIRE! Danes ripping lefts and rights to body - really bouncing mitts off meat, snatching savage at Olivia. Munn stooping forward in earmuff, punished to tummy and tits, keeping herself together...it's all Claire to bell, lathering the flanks, working the midsection hup-hup...strong blonde rally converts Munn's 10-7 to a 10-8 as Claire proves rugged in a free-swinging third.

R4: Claire opening with defence: closed stance with left side pointed at Olivia; bobbing low under Olivia's swings; using left shoulder to bump Olivia's guard or body while pivoting around her. Sharp jabs from Claire spackling Olivia's face, keeping her wary...Danes able to nibble for points through 2 minutes. Down the stretch, Olivia able to erase the margin with a swinging right that catches temple, momentarily buckling Claire's knees! Danes covering up earmuff, leaning into the arc of Olivia's swings - Munn's arms shivering as she makes batting contact wide to either blonde flank: all Danes can do is cover up tight and take.

R5: Claire spritzing jabs; edging in close with lowered left shoulder, bumping Olivia up and back; snap-hooking Munn's ribcage thereafter. Olivia bamboozled, outworked early, but second minute sees her land heavy roundhouse rights wide to blonde lats; sweeping hooks thick to blonde tummy. Danes rattled in the pocket - really taking concussive blasts to torso...she wobbles out of orbit, steadying herself at ropes as Munn walks her down. Girls bend in pate to pate: pair of thick, thumping left hooks from Munn takes Claire heavily to tummy and DANES TAKES A KNEE! Claire gasping, wincing, getting herself together...Munn glaring down as ref gently pushes her back.

R6: Claire puts on a clinic midring - swivel-pivoting around Munn, often with the use of the left-shoulder bump; straight jabs scoring on Munn's face, nagging at her, keeping her wary. Claire will move in low against Munn's crouching-earmuff front; lower the left shoulder into the guard, bumping Olivia up and back while stepping around Munn's left flank, then rip-snatching hooks to Olivia's ribcage/tummy. Good snappy stuff - Munn getting off late receipts, but to no effect: Danes keeps the fight midring, pulls Olivia's strings and chews her up for points.

R7: Munn adjusting, punching-with rather than waiting her turn...increased volume from Olivia puts Claire on the defensive. Danes still able to slip the worst of it, minimizing damage, but she's not answering back much as Munn pushes the pace. Down the stretch, Munn shows her strength - corralling sidestepping-Claire in a strong left arm - slinging blonde-girl into ropes, then bashing away to flanks as Danes is forced to cover up and take.

R8: Same again - Munn aggressively at Claire, but using more jabs/shortening up stroke on her other punches, emphasizing volume over weight of shot. Claire bobbing and pivoting, keeping her back clear of ropes, sidestepping cute around either Munn flank, but Olivia's pressure's having effect. Claire unable to answer-back, forfeiting points as Olivia continues to press.

R9: Claire piles on the defence - whirling pivots, beguiling shoulder-bumps, all manner of feints, step-outs, head bobs and side-steps. Bewildering stuff - Olivia made to miss by hysterical margins at times - Claire right there, seemingly available to be hit, then she's gone. Danes using the shoulder-bump under Olivia's guard while stepping counterclockwise, then snapping tasty hooks ribcage or tummy. Nibbling stuff, but it's keeping Olivia off the score-sheets as Claire chips out crafty points.

R10: Claire continues to manage Olivia midring - Danes dragging her lead (left) foot in a bucket as she works her magic - touching up Munn's body while the occasional jab punches back Munn's face. Olivia unhurt, but sputtering in frustration...she's stepping into position late, unable to get off against Claire's shifting fronts, making glancing-only contact against Claire's moving torso. Bell: Munn visibly unhappy, pushing Claire in the immediate aftermath...verdict nevertheless comes back UD10 Munn.

After: Safety-first Claire goes the distance with division's most violent woman, but can't make up the stagger...Munn claims her classiest name in a tactical fight. "She stunk the joint out," Munn fumes in postfight. "I knew she wouldn't stand and bang with me - when she tried, I sat her down - but I didn't expect her to run like a bum all night either. It's like she hit me her best shots early - figured out she couldn't hurt me - then went into survival mode the rest of the night. She's got nothing - she's like Wilde or that bimbo Michalka: over-hyped puffballs who can't handle the true heat!"
