BEFORE: "I do resent all the attention the younger flyweights get," Emilie admits in prefight. "To me, this is as good a fight as Hudgens/Tisdale or Scerbo/Song, but you'd never know it from the media. Still, it's a great chance to separate from Rachael on TV, and put myself back in the mix. I'm championship material - Cook isn't...it's time to end her dreams so mine can come true!"

RLC calm, professional at podium: she's a have-gloves, will-travel kind of fighter who knows what's at stake. "It's been shown that the winners of these kinds of BAD fights often get work on PPV, and that's my goal. Emilie and me have been lumped together because we're seasoned veterans, but to me, she's lost her way, while I'm still a very viable in-ring property. Fans LOVE to see me fight, while Em's really more an opponent-TBA type, you know? R2: Same again - a few moments of jab-work midring - fighters light on the toes, frisking one another's bras, then stepping in close to scour. Bruising, busy trade in close - Rachael energetically placing her head on either de Ravin shoulder; pumping the gut hup-hup-hup; chop-clouting jawlines via tight-swipe lefts or rights. De Ravin bumping off with her left shoulder, looking to create a little distance for chop-across right hands; feeding Rachael a steady diet of shrugging left uppercuts to tits in tight. Fight drifts to corners as Cook's generally coming forward on de Ravin...Emilie grumpy, absorbing punishment, sitting on turnbuckle and managing Rachael's head as Cook digs out points at bell.

R3: Emilie doubling up the jab, stepping to her right...she's looking to box a little. Rachael stalking - issuing stiff, single jabs to Emilie's chest, then looking to lean in and clip-chin the swinging right cross. Spirited stuff - fighters engaging from outside, falling in to flurry-and-get-out. Leads to messy hold-and-hit sequences with one or the other girl sawing right uppercuts to midsection while wrapping the foe in left arm...ref pulling these scrums apart, issuing warnings. Down the stretch, Emilie reads Rachael's jab, slipping head-right; whipping the counter-left hook off the hip; scoring to chin while pivoting smartly left and RACHAEL GOES DOWN! Crashing counter perfectly timed, rolling Rache to her back...she's a spellbound beauty all foggy-eyed, rickety legged - pitching forward into ropes when she gets up for 8. De Ravin closes with a grin - steps in-and-out to prompt a waving right hand from hurtin' Rache, then Em steps in strong on lead (left) plant leg, ripping a pinpoint left hook to liver. Rachael sobs aloud, bunches up, then eases herself to all fours as delighted Emilie hops away...10-7 third erases all the hard work Rachael put in to take the first 2 heats!

R4: Emilie roaming to her left with little shifting pivots, feinting and jabbing that left hand to Rachael's too-cute face. Cook staring into poke, reacting late...Emilie hard-hearted here, touching her girl up, circling like a vulture, waiting for Rachael to weaken. Rachael swiping back short lefts and rights off her back (right) foot, keeping her elbows down and in - she's slapping Emilie's face in spots, hard enough to buffett de Ravin off balance. Down the stretch, Emilie mixing things up with stooping jabs to tummy as well as the consistent face-spank...she crosses Rachael up - dipping for body, but straightening up/stepping in to fit compact hook to chin instead...Cook reels away all wide eyed and wobbly-butt, arms pinwheeling as her back hits ropes. Rachael bedazzled, sitting in strands, covering up as Em's wading in...bell sounds, but De Ravin banks a walking left to Cook's quivering tummy late, bringing the ref in hot.

R5: De Ravin confident she's got Cook breaking down...Emilie moves in pate-on-pate, looking to use up the dregs, encountering stiffer resistance than anticipated. Cook forced to spend energy, but spend it she does - outworking Emilie in the trenches, backing her to ropes. Cook fighting off Emilie's chest - placing head on either de Ravin shoulder, pumping gut, then coming up top via short, chopping left or right chin-swipes. De Ravin grimacing, fighting an organized pocket-defence: she's clipping little uppercuts to chin inside; dipping side to side on her hips, cuffing and swatting in receipt as Rachael scrounges well for points.

R6: Emilie stoops, reaches jab to tummy, pivots left to safety. Rachael stalking, turning...Emilie repeats her pattern, sticking belly and escaping via sharply-turned clockwise pivot. Cook starting to time the body shot, looking to jab-with, then flurry, but at the minute mark: Emilie FEINTS to the body; twitches that quick hook to chin while pivoting-out and DOWN GOES COOKIE! Rachael rolling onto her back in shock as Emilie lifts both hands and grins...poor Cook rolls over her left hip, gets to her knees, pitches forward to her face in a neutral corner and THE REF WAVES IT OFF! KO6 Emilie de Ravin in professional fashion!

AFter: Crisply fought veteran affair sees Emilie emerge at Rachael's expense...de Ravin glowing in triumph, obviously relishing Cook's distress. "I feel great," Emilie gushes in postfight. "Everything was clicking tonight. Rachael was working hard on the inside - gave me the rounds I was looking for, but I always felt I had the measure of her. After the third I knew I could take her out with hooks, so it was just a matter of baiting her into position - using my class to set up my sock! She fell for it brilliantly - I think that was probably the KO of the year so far, and I'm hopeful I'll get more opportunities to show my quality soon!"
