Stray busy time for Sims—she’s the hottest blonde in boxing thanks to Cat Bell’s handling of Tricia Helfer—just looking to keep things humming along with Faith Hill en route to the big Bell payday. As with Beth Ostrosky, another lanky blonde with height and reach, Molly would win, but wouldn’t dominate as one might have expected, given Hill’s lengthy lay off from FCBAS comp.
The first half saw Sims box conservatively, piling up points behind the jab and only really testing the Hill chin in the fourth round with a pair of sizzling right Hands, The ring rust fairly creaked on Hill early as she waited on Molly, tried to work at range with her, and looking a pale shadow of the girl BLONDE! Magazine once labeled “The Future of Blonde boxing in America”. And yet, it was Faith’s lack of aggression which curiously kept her in it: Molly Sims looks best with a straight ahead banger in the Taylor Cole mode and once again, Sims seemed uncomfortable when tasked with responsibility of generating pace in this bout.
Rounds six and seven witnessed a Faith Hill rally as the beguiling C&W beauty proved country tough, backing Molly up and wobbly butt with clubbing lefts and rights to the head, As she had with Ostrosky, Sins restored order with superior ring generalship and that dependable jab, finally ending the Hill uprising with a sobering right on the top of the chin to drape Faith ropeside in the 8th, All Molly from there to the tape—she easily paced herself, booked the rounds and treated herself to Faith’s beautiful face with model-like spite.
