Scene is MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The line up:
Samia Ghadie in one corner.
Trainer- Kathie Lee Gifford
Brenda Song in the other corner.

Trainer- Downtown Julie Brown. Song has selected Brown over Ann Curry. Her belief is Downtown will beat the sexy legged Curry when the super cougars meet in their own bout next month. Jill Hennessey, Downtown's boss, is elated with this choice by the hard hitting Song and has told Julie in no uncertain terms that Brenda best show a superior effort with an uncontested victory. Gifford is coolly regarding this whole scene with the thought that maybe SHE can later face and beat Downtown Julie Brown. Meantime fight night is here with referee Elke Sommer motioning the fighters to mid-ring for last minute instructions. Ghadie is glistening with perspiration though Song is still relatively dry. 'Got the nerves tonight have we?' laughs Brenda Song. Ghadie bristles but holds her temper as Sommer chuckles. 'Let's see some action ladies' she demands as they head to their respective corners and the bell rings for the first round.

Round One- Ghadie comes out firing first but Brenda slips her telegraphed punches which 'whiff' each time. 'Don't exert yourself honey' teases Brenda Song as she delivers a punishing right to Ghadie's rib cage. Suddenly she follows up with the famous Downtown Julie Brown body attack which has claimed many an opponent. The volley crashes viciously into Ghadie's midsection as she winces and groans in real pain. Brenda backs off and watches her quarry as she measures Samia Ghadie. Back comes Brenda Song with an overhand right that decks the Brit. Samia FALLS hard on her ass in her red bikini. Brenda is exulting in the black string bikini that has wowed the crowd from the start. Her gloves are upraised as the crowd is roaring for more action. Sommer counts to six as Ghadie has been jackhammered big time. Samia has glassy eyes already but still looks game. Kathie Lee is exhorting Samia to show some spunk and look like a fighter and not a loser. Ghadie responds by wading in and driving a right of her own into Brenda's gut. This does get the Asian/American's attention. 'Don't count me out yet wench' snarls Ghadie as she is encouraged to see the pain register on Song's face. Samia waves Brenda to midring and challenges her to a 'slugfest'. 'Careful' admonishes Julie Brown. Song is drawn to this 'come on' and slams Ghadie hard with a left right combo to the jaw that backs up the fiery and feisty Brit. Ghadie retains her feet though and is firing back with shots of her own which also find their target. Song is hit around both eyes. Both gals are head hunting as the bell rings. Song wins the round but Ghadie looks to be rallying some.

Round Two- Kathie Lee is imploring Ghadie to stick and move and not be such an easy target. Ghadie knows she is in with a solid tigress but won't let herself be dominated easily either. She knows she has to fight hard and effectively to beat this gal. They tap gloves with Brenda showing a level of respect for Ghadie's power. Samia sees this and this bolsters her confidence. 'I'm not a pushover there Yank' she manages to utter as they connect brutally with each other's faces. Neither will give ground. Brenda has been a heavy favorite on the Vegas line but Ghadie is determined to pull an upset. Samie Ghadie's strategy is to force the fight. She waves Brenda in by motioning with both gloves. Song accepts this invite and is raking Ghadie's face and body with harsh shots. 'Here's where your bravado ends you wannabee' announces Brenda. 'You are ALL MINE'. Brenda Song is slamming Samia Ghadie with unanswered body and head shots as Samia stubbornly stays on her feet. 'That all you have' taunts Ghadie as the crowd is stunned to see her fashion an attack of her own with a series of body blows as she then avoids Brenda's planned 'knockout shots'. 'Not yet Brenda' is Ghadie's remark. She is showing enormous capability in the wake of a beating by a highly ranked fighter. The bell rings and Ghadie makes her way to the corner stool Kathie Lee has set up for her. 'You can take her Samia' gushes Kathie Lee. They are watching Julie Brown sponge off her fighter and also spot Jill Hennessey fuming with impatience. Jill wants Ghadie put away and now. Suddenly Jill mounts the apron and over the objection of Downtown takes over the coaching of Brenda Song. Jill Hennessey momentarily squares off with Julie and proceeds to knock her out with a wicked right to the jaw as the crowd roars with delight. She drapes Downtown's body over the ropes and then turns to Brenda Song. 'Make it happen Brenda because I have some nervous investors who are not that delighted with your efforts one bit'. Brenda is intimidated with this display of power by Hennessey along with the skill. Ann Curry is laughing quite hard as she is in the front row looking up at Downtown's unconscious form draped over the ropes. 'DELIVER OR ELSE YOU'RE NEXT' explodes Jill at Brenda Song. 'Yes ma'am' is Brenda's response.

Round Three- 'Keep sticking and moving Samia' says Kathie Lee. 'They are panicky now'. Brenda Song is picking up the pace. She has been sloppy in Jill's book and is now beginning to exhibit what she can do. 'If you keep fighting her fight your body will hang next to Julie's ' warns Hennessey. Brenda needs no more instruction here. The message is received. She slips Ghadie's left/right and fires a sharp shot to the Brit's solar plexus. Samia bends in pain. Brenda rams a windmill uppercut to Samia's exposed jaw. Samia Ghadie staggers backwards on rubbery legs now as Brenda Song has her gal totally measured. Ghadie's eyes are pleading for mercy but Brenda shows none. Her blows are cascading across Samia's jaw and Sommer leaps in to stop the slaughter. Ghadie staggers backwards towards where Jenny McCarthy is sitting and cruelly laughing. 'Down you go you effing loser' snarls Jenny. UNNHH! is all the beaten Ghadie can muster as she falls face down to the canvas. The crowd cheers but is also a bit taken by how hard Brenda had to fight to take the spunky Brit. Brenda Song is impressed by how hard Ghadie battled and declines the customary 'side saddle' ride. When Samia comes to Brenda pays tribute to her 'Bulldog effort' and promises a return bout. Samia Ghadie has lost the fight but gained the respect of many including Brenda Song.
