Elisha Cuthbert versus Danielle Fishel
Maxim Cover Match

BEFORE: It's been a long rivalry between Danielle Fishel and Elisha Cuthbert, stretching back to the early days of the FCBA. It had not, however, been a lasting rivalry as both fighters had developed other rivals over the years and Fishel had even briefly flirted with retirement before coming back, with plenty of fight left in her. Although they had not fought as much inside of the ring, there were rumors of plenty of matches outside of the ring and some insiders point to Elisha's run to the bantamweight championship in 2008 as one of the motivators for Dani to return. Regardless of their feelings towards one another, it was no surprise when the two of them appeared in Maxim this year on back to back months – with Elisha in March and Danielle Fishel in April respectively. Nobody in the FCBA believed this was coincidence and their commentary prior to the bout certainly didn't change anybody's mind.

“When I heard that Maxim put that blonde bimbo on the cover and declared her the sexiest woman on television, I thought maybe it was an early April Fool's joke,” Danielle states to the press assembled around her, “The idea that they were serious made me laugh so freaking hard. I KNEW I had to be on the April cover just to show them what a mistake they had made. I'm guessing when Girl Meets World comes out, they'll print a retraction and apologize since I'll be the sexiest woman on tv at that point! Elisha is going to get run over by The Tank!” Elisha rolling her eyes as she hears Danielle talk, “When I saw Danielle on the cover of Maxim in April, I KNEW that was an April Fool's joke. Unfortunately, not a very funny one since there is no way that she should be on the cover of Maxim. Maybe she'll be on the next cover of BLONDE MAGAZINE after receiving the beating of the year from television's sexiest woman, right?” as the press nods in approval, though Elisha's moment in the sun is overshadowed as Danielle calls out, “Too bad you're not on television anymore, so guess you don't qualify, do you, Elisha?”, referring to Elisha's television show being canceled and not having a home for the fall television season yet.

Security immediately moves in to separate the two as Elisha pushes through the crowds, the two of them colliding as they crash down among the podiums and put on a photo-shoot worthy catfight before they are finally separated. Neither fighter coming in with a great deal of momentum, which puts them on even footing heading into the match - that seems to be the case literally as they chest up and shove against one another before the match once they are pulled apart. Numerous members of Foxfire, Lookout! and the Pretty Little Punchers in attendance to support their fellow roster members.

Both fighters touch gloves, but sneak in a quick jab to jugs afterward to draw quick protests from each fighter and stern warnings from the referee as the match gets ready to begin.

R1: Dani comes barreling across the ring, her arms up as she hammers away to bully Elisha backwards towards the ropes early in the contest. Cuthbert's back pressed back against the strands as she is obviously shocked as Fishel tries to bully her backwards, but Lishy makes it expensive to do so. Elisha picks up her foe with short little uppercuts and powerful hooks to body, but Dani grinding out the moments with compact right and lefts to Cuthhbert's torso. It's a hard-hitting first round as there is very little give from either of them after the initial rush, but Fishel's assault to Elisha's body gives her the edge in the first round as the judges score it close for Fishel.

R2: Danielle is the aggressor once again, picking up Elisha early with some clouting jabs across the head and shoulders. Elisha sending some short, but powerful hooks to Fishel's torso but is unable to fend Fishel off as she forces her to take her weight. Dani applying pressure again, sending her opponent's blonde butt to the ropes as she keeps drilling in leather to prevent Elisha from clinching. Cuthbert keeps her defenses up well, unable to push off of the ropes, but showing good defensive strategy as she keeps battering at Dani's tummy and ribs to keep her from getting into any kind of rhythm. The two of them breathing hard at the toe to toe combat but it's Elisha who manages to fight well off of the ropes and judges award it to Cuthbert close as the ref is forced to separate the two of them.

R3: Dani charging across the ring, not letting up for a second, displaying some serious determination as she tries to trap Elisha against the ropes again. Elisha forced to give ground as that first minute is all pressure from Fishel, pushing her blonde rival back against the ropes as she keeps establishing power behind the jab. Cuthert feeling the hated ropes brushing against her back as she curses feeling trapped under Fishel's weight as Danielle keeps feeding her right and left hands towards her head, occasionally alternating back to body. Cuthbert giving as good as she gets, but is unable to push off of the ropes, just trading punches in a phone booth as she keeps slamming leather down to Danielle's breadbasket. Finally, the ref intervenes between the blonde and brunette sluggers as the judges score it Danielle close.

R4: It's been an extremely even match so far between the two, with neither fighter getting an advantage thus far in this see-saw contest. But, Dani continues her aggressive streak, storming across the canvas as she bodies Elisha back towards the ropes. Cuthbert tries to clinch with Fishel and reverse positions, but Fishel not having it, eyes glittering with determination as she keeps trying to grind Fishel down. Cuthbert still fighting hard off of the ropes, scoring well as she pops her opponent in the face, picking her up via uppercut or ripping her with right hands along her ribs. Fishel hammering across her shoulders and tummy, slamming away with the two of them electing to trade along the ropes. Cuthbert able to hit a little harder despite her position, scoring with a late right hand across Danielle's jugs to send her shouting in protest. The judges score it close to Cuthbert in another vicious round.

R5 This one has been ridiculously brutal from the start and shows no signs of letting up at this point. Danielle maneuvering herself atop Cuthbert, pumping away as she puts her head down and goes to work. Grinding attrition now as Fishel just whacks away across her torso or flank, punching her across her biceps as she tries to work over Elisha any way she can. Elisha dipping her head too, stuffing shots into Dani's belly button or ribs, trying to fight her way off of the ropes but neither girl has any quit to her. Loud grunts, gasps and pants of determination escape both fighters as they each try to take the lead, but at the end of the round, it's Fishel who takes the round narrowly.

R6: It's a similar pattern here, though whether it's by design at this point is hard to tell as Fishel manages to ragdoll Elisha backwards against the ropes. Elisha continuing to fight off of the ropes, displaying hard-fought resistance off of the apron as she keeps picking up points as she digs into Fishel's torso, tummy and sometime sneaking in a hard jab along her jugs. Fishel's eyes flare with anger, but keeps trying to batter across Elisha's breasts, biceps and belly, the two of them trading savage slams towards one another as they compete along the ropes. Lishy bobbing the best she can along the ropes, showing off good counterpunching as she manages to take this round down the stretch with some good one two-combinations to her opponent's chest and upper torso as the judges score it close to Cuthbert.

R7: Danielle's eyes blazing as she wades in, working her blonde foe to the ropes and then piling on with reckless abandon. As she has throughout the contest, Elisha fights well off of the ropes as the two of them dig with hard shots towards tummy, pumping leather against one another's chest and bumping shoulders to create a little distance between them. No mercy between the two as they whack with short, powerful jabs into ribcage, leather spanking off of one another's glistening torsos as they sweat with exertion, pounding away at one another as the ref is once again forced to pull the two of them apart. It's the sheer power of Dani that makes the difference to the judges this round as they're forced to score it in favor of Fishel narrowly, who is in the process of pasting at Lishy's cleavage when the two are separated. Once aware the round is over, Danielle then pushes off all big girl off of Cuthbert, with blistering eye contact between them.

R8: Dani once again puts Elisha back against the ropes, but Elisha electing to stand and trade. Backing down to the ropes, but no further as she leans back against the ropes and keeps punching, picking her foe up in spots along her head and shoulders, snapping her head back behind the jab. Elisha and Dani bumping shoulders, bodies crashing aggressively as thftey each try to push each other backwards. Although Dani manages to stay on top, bullying her foe against the strands, it's Elisha who sets the pace, outworking her as she pumps slick one-two combinations scrubbing across her jugs and picking her up across her face, slipping between her guard. Fishel fierce, but not as productive as she'd like to be as Elisha manages to take this round close.

R9: Dani charges across the ring, shoving Elisha back against the ropes, but Lishy keeps the fighting close and toe to toe. Jabbing with the left and pounding out right hooks up top, it's an impressive show by Cuthbert fighting off of the apron. Fishel remains aggressive as she crowds Elisha back along the ropes, with the two exchanging hard rights, slick left uppercuts, slugging left and right in a phone both again with neither of them backing down. Late in the round, Elisha manages to pick up Danielle over her overstretched arms with a hard right hook that connects cleanly across her cheek. Danielle's head whips to the side, making her go wobbly-butt but she keeps up the pressure, even as she's dazed. Cuthbert ripping her to torso as Fishel slumps forward, the two of them pressed closed together but it's Lishy picking up and scoring points down the stretch as Elisha manages to take the first to back rounds of the match. Will they end up being the decisive rounds? Judging by the hateful stares between the two, neither of them is going to back down heading into what could well be the final round.

R10: Danielle pouring in, just shoving Elisha back towards the ropes as she starts stuffing shots towards her opponent's head and shoulders. Cuthbert appearing comfortable along the ropes, taking the pressure well and sponging up the punishment as her blonde butt presses against the strands. Jerking in some short right uppercuts to chin to create a little distance as she absorbs the right and left hooks from Fishel, trying to keep her guard up as she starts to club Danielle across her temples. Danielle forced to cover up a bit from the clouting right and lefts across her head, allowing Lishy to dip low and shrug in short jabs across her tits. Fishel keeps pouncing forward, trying to grind Cuthbert down, but appears to be wearing herself down against Cuthbert's fighting front. Stuffing in shots towards Danielle's breadbasket as Fishel is doubling over a bit from the constant pressure, feeling herself twisted a bit as for the first time in the contest, Elisha is able to get on top and deliver a brutal beating down the stretch. Slamming in shot after shot to Danielle's tummy, jabbing her across her jugs and spanking in leather across her face as Danielle's strong thighs hold her up, allowing her to continue to trade as it's good back and forth between them. But, it's Elisha in control as the bell rings, with the ref pulling Elisha off as she pushes off of a wobbly-butt Danielle. It's been a fantastic slugging contest between them, but Elisha takes the round and the match via UD10!

AFTER: The two of them have to be kept apart as Danielle watches in obvious anguish as Cuthbert's is raised in victory, able to keep her opponent trapped along the ropes all night but Cuthbert refusing to go down and emerging the winner. So close to winning, but here she is watching Cuthbert accept the win. “I'll say what I said when I saw her on the cover of Maxim. Soft. So freaking soft. Like Fishel is a new flavor of pudding or something...” Elisha declares as she is scuffed up, but beaming in triumph after winning this battle between two competitive FCBA veterans. This comment draws outrage from Fishel, as she tries to lunge forward and taunting “Chubby Cuthbert”.

Those are fighting words and it's a near brawl between the two, but both referees and stablemates intervene between the two. Minka Kelly and Jessica Simpson helps restrain Elisha, although Minka appears to be enjoying Fishel's taunts and Simpson appears more interested in arguing with Danielle than anything. In fact, Eloise Mumford has to help separate Simpson and Fishel, while Rachel McAdams helps lead off a furious Fishel while shoving at a confident Cuthbert. That's where the referees came in handy as another match almost occurred at this point, with even Minka and Rachel even arguing, although they both seemed to agree on mutual rival Cuthbert. The Pretty Little Punchers, supportive of their trainer, helped to keep Elisha and Lookout! back, but definitely had their hands full with girls like Nina Dobrev, Vanessa Hudgens and Emily VanCamp getting in their faces. Dobrev and Benson were shouting loudly, Hudgens and Hale were shoving furiously, Emily and Shay were dangerously close to punching at one another and Troian found herself arguing with a confident Leighton Meester. Hayden Panettiere, who has always respected “the Tank”, tried to intervene but found herself being pushed backwards by an aggressive Ashley Tisdale as the two of them engaged in some vicious blonde on blonde violence. It looked like things were going to get out of control as ring officials swarmed the beach and eventually, the two competing stables were separated after this highly close and entertaining Maxim Cover match.

“I will tell you that Dani is no joke in the ring, but we all know who had the last laugh, don't we?” Cuthbert tells reporters as she heads out as Fishel and Cuthbert manage to be led off in different directions without any further incident – for now. The two share a gaze as they head off across the beach - one filled with mutual loathing and something approaching respect, as neither really believes this will be the end of their rivalry. With great matches like this between two proud and talented veterans, FCBA fans can hope not.
