More international flavor in Birmingham with a French actress and former bantamweight champion Clara Morgane taking on the fiery Spanish WAG, Pilar Rubio. Morgane's been under intense scrutiny lately with her Latin Union stable looking at options to enhance her once dominant presence but a loss against Kaya Scodelario proved to be a real upset of the year. Meanwhile Rubio tries to rebuild her career after an equally tough defeat to Gabrielle Cilmi last September. She's joined the WAG legion courtesy of Real Madrid's own Sergio Ramos but considering the team endured a woeful season by their standards, it's better that Pilar doesn't repeat that against Morgane.

Round 1:
The former champ gets down to business quickly jabbing at the brunette's chest and rocking it well before slamming a hook on the chin and Pilar looks shocked by the onslaught, retreating to the ropes but not fast enough for Clara who snaps her head with more leather and the crowd's up for a one-sided bashing with the Spanish WAG unable to tame the raging opponent. Morgane seeks more success around the elbows, just peppers Pilar's ribcage but misses couple of uppercuts on the rack and Rubio fires back from behind the guard. She clips Clara's temple but a huge overhand from the right slams her on the nose moments later and Morgane regains control, throws a flurry of jabs on the face, splis the mitts and bounces off the brunette's nose, keeps her butt-in-ropes and switches low to pound away at the tummy. Rubio winces in some discomfort already, gets whacked on the chest with a fine uppercut and the high tempo continues with Clara spiking her left.. right... left... Pilar's arms drop already and another left nails her on the chin... Morgane keeps the barrage... sways the chest back and forth and Rubio looks like Real Madrid B team here, just allowing the blonde to beat her up without much resistance... but she's standing, sags back on her knees and Clara thrives on lumping her foe up... More jabs bruise the Spanish girl's face and the ref just watches on as the beating continues... Right hook on the nose bursts the vessels open and there's red liquid now seeping from the wound as Pilar can barely raise her arms but avoids a knockdown as the bell sounds soon afterwards but that was a massive romp from the ex-champion who looks angry that she hasn't finished Rubio off inside the opening round.

Round 2:
Intensive work by the Lioness cutmen on Pilar's face but she fails to respond to coach Gina Wild's shouts and quite frankly looks totally up against it. Makes no difference to Clara who closes her down with ease and opens the nose wound with a first overhand combo, the arms can't stay in tact and Morgane whips more leather from point-blank range, turns the brunette's face into a bloody pulp at will... Pilar stumbles back to the ropes, opens her eyes as Clara nails her with a right hand on the nose, left hook on the chest and the arms just drop to the side... left hook on the temple... right hook on the brow ridge... quiet yelp gets out from the brunette's mouth AND DOWN SHE GOES FACE-FIRST ON THE CANVAS... Clara spins around to her corner and begins to shake her glove and the ref is wise enough to ignore the count since Pilar's eyes are closed and she's unresponsive to her whereabouts... KO R2 Clara Morgane!!!

Post-fight:
Clara's maybe done with Pilar but she's not done with the Lioness corner as she leaps towards coach Gina Wild and begins to brag about her victory. Since the French and German were never the best of friends, it's no surprise Wild takes a swipe at the taller blonde and knuckles her on the nose! Morgane looks stunned but quickly takes a swing herself... too late since Wild jumps to the side, makes her way through the ropes and drives her head into the ex-champ's tummy.. Morgane hits the canvas hard on her backside and Wild tries to land more fists onto the model's face but the security is finally on hand to react as they drag the German veteran away from the French blonde. More staff fills the ring shortly afterwards but the vocal abuse continues and we might not have seen the last of this scrap as coach Wild demands another test for her girls against the Latin Unioners.

As the mumbling Pilar Rubio is stretched off into the locker room, Wild is on the phone already and the early rumours which surface Birmingham later in the night indicate the Lioness executives consider a trip to France to make amends for this vicious loss and set up a redemption event on Morgane's moe turf. The French blonde seems unconcerned by this drama as she dwells on crowd's reaction but the security staff keep an eye on her with Gina Wild still present in the National Indoor Arena in wake of Christine Bleakley's upcoming bout.
