BEFORE: "Because she's mostly hype," Kelly says when asked why the hot-pursuit of Torv. "Everyone on 'Fringe' thought they were doing Shakespeare or something, and there's Anna, fighting hobos, being treated like royalty in and out of the ring...I just wanted to burst that bubble, you know? She's the same girl who couldn't take Arterton's punch, and I'm gonna get to the bottom or her quick. You'll see."

Torv calm as always, showing no sign that Kelly's words're having any effect. "Joanne talked her way into this fight," Anna shrugs at podium, "but she's not going to be able to talk her way OUT. I was never reluctant to fight her, but I don't do the business plans...presumably now's the right time to deal with her, and deal with her I shall. She's done very well - she's smart, disciplined, not overly gifted physically, but she makes up for it...I'm curious to see if she's going to be as competitive with me as she thinks."

Torv in brown bikini top, sport bikini bottoms with floral print in pastel blues and pinks; black gloves; long blond hair straight behind the ears. Joanne in green-and-black tartan print sport-top/bikini bottoms; black gloves; curly black hair in ringlets.

During R1: Stalking, patient stuff - fighters batting one another's jabs down in turns, in early negotiations. Kelly sliding back in-stance, letting Torv come on: leads to sudden squalls of lefts and rights - both fighters getting off, disengaging. Down the stretch, Kelly gets it right - swipe-parrying Torv's hands aside; hooking from the right (back) plant-leg, catching Anna to mouth...while blonde girl's stumbling, Kelly jams a swinging right behind the ear; fits a TUFF left uppercut to belly and ANNA'S HURT! Torv grimacing, tying up...she gets out of the round, but Kelly takes the points.

R2: Torv upping the tempo - doubling her jab; beating right hands to body/hooking up top. Kelly staying-with for a minute, then slowly falling off the pace...final minute is Torv walking Joanne down - jabbing her guard; pounding midsection right/left; pushing JK off as Kelly tries to clinch.

R3: Kelly trap-boxing like a champ...slide-stepping back to coax Anna forward; catching her cutie-pie wide left hooks off the back (left) foot; timing blonde jab with slick right hands over top; pivoting-clockwise around hooks to Anna's chin. Torv unhurt, but cleverly outboxed...Kelly showing class, keeping her back free of ropes, walking Torv into a shutout third.

R4: Anna doubling the jab to get on Kelly more quickly, then engaging...Joanna trading bravely, but giving ground against Anna's thudding weight of shot. Kelly trying to step to spots, walk Anna in, and catch her a big right hand, but blonde un-cooperative, generally spoiling JK's plans. Down the stretch, ferocious exchange sees Torv cramp Kelly up with a spanking barrage of rights and lefts to belly...Joanne cringing to ropes, saved by bell.

R5: See-saw tilts the other way as Joanne jabs-with to good effect; slides back to bait blonde-girl forward, walking Anna into check-hooks, pivoting around the work. Torv attempting to press up the middle, intent on Kelly's breasts/ribcage...Anna scoring thick, digging blows, but Joanne taking stout, lighting blonde up in receipt to head. Down the stretch, grazing rights miss up top, then it's Kelly's come-back hook finding Torv's belly, bunching her up. Anna taking the shot well, but she's in earmuff, stooping forward: Kelly able to tuck an insurance left/right to belly, belting points out of Torv's body at bell.

R6: Steady stalking pursuit from Anna T: she's chopping the jab at JK's face; stepping into short right hands to chin; bobbing on the spot in close-quarters, making Kelly miss over top, digging at Joanne's ribs off the counter. Pressure visibly breaking Kelly down as Anna walks brunette down...midway through, thumping left/right to gut bunches Kelly up, backs her off a step, PUTS HER ON BENDED KNEE! Joanne catching her breath, weight on right knee...she beats the count wincing. Anna resumes her pace, drilling down on Joanne - relentless, ruthless. Kelly wilting to aprons, sliding along ropes...desperate look on her face as her bodie's aching...Torv really strapping the waist-line left/right - coming up top hooks-on-chin. Just before the bell - KELLY GOES DOWN! Bludgeoning blows head and body beat Jo to all fours, right side parallel to ropes as ref pushes seething Anna back.

R7: Anna presses to close the show: Joanne won't have it! Kelly visibly worn down, but still cagey - right at her mouth, elbows in, she slides back behind check-jabs, walking Anna in, then kissing her swift right crosses to chin/jagged left uppercuts underneath. Kelly very adept with the swipe-parry - brushing Anna's approach-jab aside; coming-back the wide left hook up top - right hand at cheek, ready to clean up. Anna pressing her attack, but cleanly outfought...she stalks back to her corner, glaring at canvas.

R8: Torv jabbing Kelly to ropes, getting big on her: Joanne suffers. Torv looking like a Bonzo fighter here - squaring up on Kelly's chest; using shoulders or extended left elbow to prop; rapping right/lefts off breadbasket; pounding the biceps close-in with thumbside-up wallops; short-jerking stubby right uppercuts between the mitts/chopping left hooks behind Kelly's right elbow as Joanne's stooping forward in earmuff. Bell to bell Torv on Kelly...Joanne clinching in spots, but never able to get out from under. Torv hard-eyed, tight-lipped to her corner: Kelly wobbly-butt to hers.

R9: CLAMBAKE! Torv looking to wade in systematico - encounters FURIOUS Jo Kelly punching as Joanne looks to turn the tide. Blistering rights and lefts rake across both fronts: BLONDE GIRL HURT! Anna's legs give a shimmy...she's stepping funky...bungling out of orbit as Joanne steps-with, rakes a series of high-angle hooks to sweep Torv ropeside! Anna in tight earmuff, taking a beating...Kelly lathering the flanks, keeping her head close to Anna's raised guard. Torv bangin' back from the pocket, touching Kelly the short right uppercut in close; feeding Kelly quick, rolling left/rights to belly, then covering up tight at Jo's still wailing. Crowd roaring - girls brawling toe-to-toe...tight-swiping hook across the chops buffetts Kelly to her left, momentarily derailing her assault...Torv leans in, crams right hand deep to solar plexus and JOANNE GOES DOWN! Kelly spitting her mouthpiece onto the apron, dropping to hands-and-knees, face in ropes...Torv struts away stunned but rallying as Joanne climbs cables for an 8 count! Final minute all Torv-on-Kelly brutality, but it's measured, bump-and-slug brutality - Anna applying bruising attrition to her rival. Blonde keeping head down, fighting off Kelly's chest, working tidy little hup-hup rolling combos to breadbasket; jerking hup-hup right/left combos to jugs; clapping the odd left or right to either Kelly ear, keeping her covered up tight.

R10: Torv knows she's got the points, she shows off her legs, denying combat. Kelly rushing to close, trying to bring battle...Torv blocking, hopping, using the ring, running the clock. Cerebral Anna drawing boos as she forfeits the round, but it's the smart play. Comes back 5 rounds a-piece, but a solid UD10 Anna Torv.

After: Fighters chatting after the fight, acknowledging one another like pros...each girl proving something to the other tonight. "Tougher fight than I expected," Anna admits in postfight. "I thought I was bigger, stronger, but Kelly's very clever, puts herself in the best possible positions...she made it difficult to impose my will. I've been working on my body shots, setting down on shots to hurt girls, and I think that surprised her. I hit like a welterweight now and Jo's legs just couldn't take the shock. I give her credit though...she took a 2 knockdown round and came back to win the next heat: she's a fighter."
