BEFORE: Too soon for Olsen? Elizabeth doesn't think so. "What's too soon?" Liz asks rhetorically. "When Charlize Theron came up, she fought Jamie Luner and Janet Jones - women like that - in her rookie year. When I knock Wilde out, will you guys say I waited too long? Fighters fight, guys. There's no perfect time to put Olivia Wilde on her butt...any old time'll do!"

Wilde rounding into championship form these days...she's got a different take on the matter. "They're pushing this kid way too hard," Olivia maintains. "The Academy always does - it's a meat grinder over there: starlets go in one end; meat comes out the other. And they always trot out the example of Theron to get these kids amped - 'look, this is how Charlize developed', but the tragic thing is, there's only one Charlize Theron. Wilde sliding along to her right in swoon...Olsen lunging from the corner, circling-out to square up: slashing wide right hand catches Oliva across the gut; slinging left hand kisses across Wilde's mouth and OLIVIA'S DOWN! Starlet of Summer candidate punched onto her right hip-and-hand, blinking in astonishment...Olsen strutting around the ring, pounding her right hand to chest, head held high as Wilde takes a creaky 8. Resume...Olsen gives Olivia no respect: blonde girl bending her legs to hack vicious rights to tummy; straightening up to ring hooks off chin...normally elusive Wilde hurt, available, taking punches. Olivia's curvy legs hold her up, but she's touched up stiff and plenty...Elizabeth flashing cocky eye-contact at bell as Wilde's swaying in the wind.

R2: Wilde's legs aren't back - Olsen sees it...leads to lunging, free-swinging aggression as Elizabeth sweeps Olivia around the ring. Olivia trying to rally - reeling around the aprons, swipe-parrying blonde fists out of the air - bouncing off ropes to change angles. Brunette evasive action prevents home runs, but blonde-girl continues to make the fight, harassing Wilde corner to corner through 2.

R3: Wilde getting herself together, legs springy again, balance good...she's roaming counter-clockwise, left shoulder pointed at Elizabeth, hands dangling at sides. Olsen cautious about this deceptive, hands-down look...she's got HER hands at earmuff, walking Wilde down. Olivia flicking the left jab up off thigh - spanking it against Olsen's guard - occasionally following it with swift straight rights, then shifting-angle. Olsen jabbing from her brow, trying to time Wilde, but brunette relaxed, using the ring...Oli will occasionally duck down in her hands-dangling stance, put a shoulder into Lizzie's body and push-turn her - keeping blonde-girl off-balance, wary.

R4: Olsen stooping forward in earmuff, patiently walking Olivia down: Wilde in the closed stance, hands dangling, flashing the slick one-two into blonde guard. Elizabeth blocking, walking through the work, then answering...stout stuff from blonde girl as she chops straight lefts and rights onto Olivia, scattering Wilde out of her stance, making her hop counter-clockwise to fresh canvas. Simple, effective routine for Olsen: she's blocking as Wilde's strictly face-hunting, then scrubbing to force Olivia into retreat.

R5: Wilde doing her thing - hands dangling, shooting the one-two off the up-jab, circling counter-clockwise. Beth increasingly confident against this look: hands at temples, blocking as she steps forward, then dousing Wilde in stiff, scrubbing left/rights, head and shoulders. Olivia bobbing and bouncing to her right, but persistent blonde-girl stepping-with, spitting out punches in streams...she's flooding the defences, scoring touches. Midway through, Olivia leaning down and to her right, hands low...Wilde leans-with, extends on a straight right hand behind Oli's left ear and WILDE'S HURT! Olivia reeling into ropes all wide-eyed - right hand at left cheek/left at right armpit as Olsen hops-to. Liz: bending her knees for that chopping right hand to Olivia's gut; straightening up into a ringing, compact hook - turning it over with the thumbside up and WILDE IS ROCKED! Olivia's curvy legs holding her up, but her torso's sloshing queasy on shapely hips - eyes glassy as blonde girl's pouring on! Liz grinning wildly - lashing a sidearm right to Olivia's waist; tidying up swatting hooks to chin...Olivia out on her feet, rolling dimly in the pocket, just trying to survive. Bell: Elizabeth SO excited - thrusting arms high in the air and shouting in Olivia's shell-shocked face - ref pushes Olsen away as Wilde's staring bleakly at a 10-8 sans knockdown.

R6: Wilde sneaky, cute, rubbery...she'll lure Olsen to ring aprons, then bounce off ropes to angle-around blonde flanks. She'll show that left-shoulder closed stance, dangle her hands, flick the up-jab off the thigh, but this time, the swift right hand is as likely to punch at Olsen's tummy as it is spank at blonde's raised guard. Liz walking through as before, but Olivia charging for real estate now - ducking down to crowd close with left shoulders for the ol' bump-and-turn move; ripping whippy left hooks behind Lizzie's right elbow; featuring straight rights to tummy and a buggywhip right out wide to flank. Olsen spitting back lefts and rights in spots, but she's wincing now, visibly slowed by body-thump.

R7: Olsen increasingly aggressive - walking Olivia down in earmuff; blocking the quick one-twos, then stepping close and showering Olivia with scrubbing left/rights. Wilde scuffed up, forced to scamper...she's not hurt, but she's clearly giving ground, getting harrassed through 2 minutes. Mostly Olivia just lifts the left jab off her thigh, spanking it to guard, making sure of her distance at all times. Down the stretch, it all makes sense...Olsen stepping in to get off as she has done - Wilde bobbing under the first one-two, then straightening up into slick right uppercut from her ankles, CRUSHING Lizzie to chin! BLONDE GIRL DOWN! Booming circus punch picks Liz up onto her toes, drops her to back all pretty blonde deadweight. KO7 Olivia Wilde in come-from-behind fashion. Way behind.

After: Wilde badly scuffed up - taking a couple of 10-8 rounds tonight, getting outworked, getting outfought...veteran digs into her trick bag to the get the W, but she's not in a celebratory mood in postfight. "Liz came to fight," tight-lipped Olivia acknowledges, left eye closing, face puffy. "She was eager, she was hungry, and she took it to me. Not my best effort tonight - a girl like this should never get to me, but she was awkward, and stubborn, and they had a good game plan for her. I shouldn't have to bail myself out with power - especially because her body was there and I could have just taken it, but I'm glad I was able to stop her. You know, it's lesson-learned...yes, I'm an elite fighter, but if you sleep on anyone at bantamweight, you BETTER be elite to get yourself out of a jackpot!"
