BEFORE: Girls shaking hands at photo-ops, exchanging aggressive smiles...it's a may-the-best-woman-win vibe between the two, not a catfighting hatred. "Everyone knows we have a lot of respect for the Wiz," Aly grins at podium, "guy's a sweetheart, and he's great for boxing, but much as I love him, I gotta say this: I'm taking your best girl out back the woodshed, whippin' her butt, and taking your belts away from her. You know she's too old; you know she beat a weak champion to steal the gold, and you know I'm a hundred-year talent at this weight. Nothing's been like me - the whole reason Missy P moved up was 'cause she heard my footsteps and didn't want to be exposed. So - apologies in advance big-guy: Gracie's gonna get hurt, but it's just bidness baby - you know that!"

Park non-plussed, but unfazed by blonde brass. "You know, we keep hearing from Aly what a legendary fighter she is," Grace smirks, "we HEAR these things, but we don't see the proof in the ring. Olivia Munn exposed this girl: million dollar body; five cent heart. Nobody tests heart like Grace Park, guys. I'ma hit this girl 80-100 times a round...the pace will tell the tale. And as for Carmella, yes, I thought she might be a weak champion...until I fought her. Aly needs to do more punching, less talking, because her mouth isn't making a whole lot of sense!"

ASIDE: Grace and Aly showing mutual respect, but not so Aly/Serinda Swan...Swan getting bytchy in Michalka's face at one press conference, almost leading to blows until officials intervene.

DURING R1: Aly: relaxed; hands palm-out, shoulder-height; elbows in; hop-and-stop gait. Grace: dukes up, elbows in. Michalka loose-jointed in her stance - doubling up the jab to body - stepping to the side - chopping sudden lead rights - sliding back in her stance while batting wide left hooks, discouraging Grace's counter attacks. Park thoughtful, making her reads...blonde girl initiating, punching in little spurts, keeping champ defensive. Aly lithe, hopping when necessary, but economical - just a shimmy here, a trot-step there - a fade, a slide, a pivot, then she's right back to business. Nobody hurt, but active, disruptive Michalka touching Grace - punching back Park's head with an assortment of straight rights throughout the round. Bell: grin-and-nod from Michalka as she makes dancing eye contact; Grace stoic - shutout, but unconcerned through 1.

R2: Bit more activity as Grace jabs-with midring - both women stooping to touch offending midsections via doubled-up jabs, gradually mixing in hooks/right hands until true hot-tossing two way develops. Park gradually overwhelming blonde girl - constant kiss of Gracie's mitts across ribs and jawline forcing Aly to scoot-step away, legs buying time. Grace lope-stepping Aly down, bringing the pain: swinging right to lats; digging hooks to belly soon reins Michalka in. Aly grimacing - left arm extended...Grace punching right hands outside blonde left/left hand inside to really abuse Aly's torso. Withering stuff - Park setting a blistering pace - palm-up rights chopping "PIK!" at lats/ribs; palm-up lefts denting the toned tummy or cuffing the full jugs of her foe. Aly grumpy, drifting to ropes - looking to jab Park off; fitting her for the odd chop-across right to chin, but it's Grace's party. Park strong on Michalka to bell, numbing blonde legs with a steady lather - small mitts spanking out loud on proud blonde body at bell.

R3: Aly trying to be leggy, cute midring: Grace scowling, drilling in with the jab, then going-torso with both hands, fighting to wear Michalka out! Similar orientation - Aly's left arm extended to jab or push Grace off: Park slugging inside and out of that arm, snap-snatching small mitts off Aly's ribs. Withering body attack has Michalka flat-footed, grouchy...middle minute sees Grace whack body right/left, then come up top via chopping palm-down right over Aly's left shoulder; hooking thumbside-up left to chin - BUCKLING ALY'S LEGS! Michalka staring, staggering back into ropes: she's hurt and Gracie's piling on! Park long-limbed, lithe, stepping into position, wailing punches. Aly stunned as her chin is chipped; cramped as her ribs are smote...it's Gracie taking what she wants and loving it! Park DIGGING at blonde paunch/ribs - wiry limbs lashing away, then coming up top, battering head and shoulders. Aly's long, strong legs hold her up, but she's a frazzled beauty - sponging licks, looking confused as Grace romps to glory through 3.

R4: Grace loping forward, but Aly initially fades the rush; stops-and-pops a sneaky lead right to mouth; shifts weight to back (right) leg to swipe hook across chin and PARK'S HURT! Grace stepping in fence-post holes, suddenly buzzed: Michalka over to offence as Park's forced to rally. Grace dukes at brows, cringe-stepping forward...blonde girl STRAPPING the body limber-whipping right/lefts, retreating in good order, taking little trot-steps to her right to turn Grace, keep her stumbling forward. Numbing body attack parts Gracie's lips, has her cringing...Aly starts to punch up top, feeding Park the stiff jab to mouth; chopping in pin-point straight rights. Groggy Grace wandering through it all, getting busted up, but down the stretch, she starts to answer wide hooks/swinging rights...fighting to deny Aly shutout at the bell.

R5: Aly turns slugger, wading into Grace, backing her to neutral corner, engaging her. Hot-tossing two way...Park pushing out desperate lefts and rights...Aly flaring her hook out wide, then getting her back in behind short, chopping rights. GRACE GETS HURT IN EXCHANGE! Slender brunette legs give a shimmy, Grace swaying on the spot, but still punching...Aly hooks chin, crowds close for shrugging right uppercut and DOWN GOES GRACE! Park dropped to haunches and hands, head lolling forward...Aly pouting, frowning as if disappointed that she has to stop punching. Shaky 8, Grace: Michalka strutting back in like she owns the joint. Park hurt, busting up...she's stooping forward, dukes up, but held away from her face - she's looking stiff, shaken. Aly patient - stooping to jab Grace's flat tummy; darting in and out; slap-hooking Grace quick to cheek; feinting, then feeding Grace cruel straight rights between the mitts. Poor Grace! Park's eyes swelling to slits, lips parted/cracked...she's just being stubborn here, refusing to go down, but not answering. Michalka occasionally strapping the ribs with a slashing, buggywhip right hand, carving Grace beneath the jug-line, buckling her knees. Park grimacing when smote to body...she's breaking down, but defiant, refusing to bend the knee. Bell: Aly glowing, nodding at her own good work, slick and shiny with her own sweat...she struts happily to BAZZ corner, grinning cocky through 5.

R6: Grim pursuit of Grace Park - champ wilting around the ring, looking loose, but firming in spots to keep Aly wary. Blonde girl smiling, using a lot of feints to get groggy flinches - even busting out the odd "Aly" shuffle - then she'll jab the tummy; loop opportunistic right hands over the top; wide-slap the thumbside-up hook to Gracie's jawline. Park spitting out rigid, straight right/lefts - Aly weaving the work, resetting out of Park's range, then mounting fresh pounce-attacks. Down the stretch, Aly feints once, twice, then punches a straight right hand blunt to face: Park's head given a satisfying jolt at bell as Aly grins in satisfaction.

R7: Aly in charge, walking Grace down, but staying lithe - blonde girl using hop-and-stop footwork - showing flat-footed/willowy torso looks, then stepping away to change the angle. Park shabby with damage, reacting late, pushing out weak punches...blonde girl seeing every thing, easily sliding out of range, then working her way back in on her own terms. Aly cute - leaning to her left while chopping pesky rights down atop Grace's head, then suddenly twisting torso-right to catch Grace a slashing left hook to chin. Aly stooping, patting jabs at Grace's tummy, just touching her...then stepping in with the swift hook/chopping right hand combo, sending Park reeling to ropes. Michalka selective - but achingly effective to the body - strapping Grace rich, whacking licks across her ribs - blonde girl really getting her back into hateful shellack. Bell: shutout Michalka has blonde girl nodding, grinning...Park swaying, eyes hammered closed, looking forlorn through 7. BAZZ girls in attendance LOVING it - partying it up in their seats; Frontstreet girls sombre, silent, watching as Aly pulls Grace's wings off.

R8: Spurt of offence from Grace...she's rickety-legged, but slugging her way forward...Aly hopping in wide counter-clockwise circle to diffuse the attack. Blonde girl back in control at the minute mark - legs giving her initiative, allowing her to dictate terms. Balance of the round is grimly determined Grace taking punches in earmuff as she's inching forward - Aly stroking away to glory with a couple of shots, then sidestepping, just patiently putting it on Grace Park through 8.

R9: Grace shows that marvelous conditioning - spitting jabs to put Michalka in the BAZZ corner. Blonde girl grinning under pressure...she's bouncing off adjacent ropes in the corner; swat-parrying Gracie's punches; presenting either shoulder as she's slipping punches. Grace grinding-in - chopping at Aly's chest/torso with palm down left/rights; lowering head to wail wide right/lefts to waist; coming up top with thumbside-up left hooks cuffing while Grace balances on right leg. Michalka making it entertaining with all her moves, but Gracie's building volume...by the halfway mark, Park's hitting a lot of body; by the final minute punches are moving Aly's head and down the stretch...MICHALKA'S HURT! Aly sputtering, suddenly falling apart...Michalka haters (Swan, Munn, many others) on collective feet, screaming as GRACIE POURS IT ON! Park whirling wiry limbed abuse to hips/ribs as she leans forward, then she straightens up to work Aly's breasts CHUP! CHUP! CHUP!. Michalka sagging back-on-turnbuckles, trying to swat Grace's fists out of the air with mixed results. Bell: Grace seething - busted up but reinvigorated...ref has to pull her off as disheveled blonde girl's looking car-jacked through 9.

R10: Midring - Aly's still springy legged; playful aspect in her eyes replaced by deadly serious "FINISH HER" look...blonde girl puts it on the champion bell to bell. Michalka not whirling - it's 2 or 3 punches in spurts, then Aly shifts to either side, jabbing Grace shabby, setting her up for the next series. It's the pride of Grace vs the determination of Aly...Michalka visibly better at this point, helping herself, hurting Grace with everything; Park stubborn, sputtering, pawing her way forward. Aly flat-footed, willowy-torsoed...in-rhythm, she'll stoop to punch straight righty at Grace's midsection, then straighten up to clout left/right to chin. Aly will shift-right, yo-yo her jab, then punch a straight right between Gracie's mitts, knocking the face back PAK! Aly will pivot-left around her jab or hook - pawing her left hand at Gracie's guard, then BURYING the left hook in deep behind Park's right elbow. Tough to watch - Grace's wiry body cringing, the marathoner's legs shot, face punched lumpy, but she won't go down, won't turn away. At the bell, snarling Michalka punching straight, chopping right/lefts up the middle, pounding at Grace's face as Park's mouthpiece flops off her teeth - ref tackles blonde away as Park swoons on the spot. Comes back UD10 for the winner and NEW bantam champ - "Sugar" Aly Michalka!

After: Aly belting out a no-doubter over Grace - fight even after 4, competitive, but Michalka steadily pulling away thereafter. "Congrats to Grace Park," magnanimous Aly says in postfight, "no one else would have finished that fight - she's an amazing champion. But it's a new era now, guys: 'amazing' won't cut it. I'm finally hitting my stride - I've got the bantie-belts, I'll defend them, but really, I look around the FCBA and I don't see any girl at any weight who can be confident against me! Obviously at 120 there's a lot of girls who need their 'Michalka experience', but how's somebody like Shay Mitchell gonna compete when I don't think an Erica Durance or Missy P could beat me? I don't think Ali Landry could beat me! Honestly, I think of the biggest and best girls - you fill in the name - and I think: 'I could beat that'...that's where I'm at now. Bantam champ, pound for pound, Great Blonde...roll 'em up into one big crown and lay it on me!"
