In keeping with her boast Kelly is waiting at Cleveland airport for the arrival of Demi Lovato who she will face in the ring at the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. Many have spotted Kelly at the gate and are gathered around as Demi walks into the sunlight as some of the crowd cheers while others send catcalls her way. A good part of the accolades come from the younger crowd who are chanting 'kick Kelly's ass' over and over. O'Donnell flushes to hear this but regains her composure. All of this is serving to stir up her resolve to upgrade her ring cred at the expense of this young starlet. "Friendly town ya got here redhead" chirps Demi who extends her hand as they shake. Cameras are now going off as the papperazzi begin their duties. Kelly snaps her finger as they head out the door of the airport and a limo pulls up. "Age before beauty" chimes Demi who couldn't resist this jab early on. It's a stretch limo and Kelly gets into a 'jump seat' and faces her upcoming opponent. She crosses her sexy legs for Demi to see. "Nice gams for an old chick" remarks Demi. "Too bad they're going to be stretched out on the canvas tomorrow night though". Kelly's composure is starting to unravel just a little but she holds herself in check. The sun is starting to set as they pull into the Cleveland Marriott where a special dinner dinner awaits them in a suite set up by O'Donnell. Each goes to her room as they've agreed to meet in an hour for dinner.

An hour later- Demi arrives first in a gorgeous alluring black mini dress which show off her strong legs and ample bust. Kelly shows up in a skirt and blouse which serve to hightlight her still attractive legs and solid bust. Demi is now into serious talk about Kelly's career as Capital Hill correspondent for MSNBC as this does intrigue her. The gals enjoy each other's company and adjourn for a friendly round of pool games which are truly competitive. "I was pool champ in my sorority at Northeastern" Kelly pipes up. Demi is unfazed though and beats Kelly three games to two in hotly contested matches. O'Donnell marches over to Lovato and, ever so slightly, curtsies to her conqueror as her knees bend to the young winner. Demi smiles and says "you'll be doing that in the post fight too so I'm glad you're warmed up". Kelly is a tad stunned but then kisses Demi on the lips as they embrace for some pre fight cannoodling. After enjoying one another for sometime they decide it's time to turn in. Demi's room stays unoccupied as she and Kelly share the bed they had made love in. The next morning they order room service for breakfast and then split up for the event to take place that night.

Fight night- Kelly is first in the ring and strips off her white robe to reveal a well conditioned body in green bikini panties which have shamrocks on either side. Demi is now there and yanks off her black robe to demonstrate a gorgeous physique in a blue string bikini. She wins the ooh and aah event from the young males. The ref is old timer Elke Sommer who gives intructions.

Round One- Demi's coach is the 'Golden Goddess' Charlize Theron who has emphasized using those legs for her pupil. Lovato is quick off the mark and now it is all business as she slams Kelly with a knee buckling left hook to the jaw. Lovato is fast and ruthless. All the frivolity they shared the night earlier is forgotten as she jackhammers the newsbabe over and over with body shots. Kelly is being beaten to the punch and her corner, featuring trainer Katie Couric, is already concerned. The redhead gathers herself and moves in to deliver a left/right/left combo to Demi's face. Now they are at mid-ring slugging for all they are worth. Couric didn't want this at all. Matching shots will favor the younger fighter. Still, Kelly O'Donnell's ego is at play. She needs to show this upstart who will rule this ring. A roar goes up as Kelly connects with a brutal roundhouse right that sends the younger gal down on her ass. Lovato is briefly stunned and takes a standing eight count from Sommer. "Pretty good but not good enough" is her snarky remark to O'Donnell as she punishes Kelly with series of wicked body blows. Kelly is bending at the waist now in pain and Lovato is feinting her with left hooks and pile driving rights into the redhead's midsection. "Had enough there old gal"? is Demi's question as Kelly is gasping for breath as the bell rings to end the round which is scored even based on the knockdown.

Round Two- O'Donnell is truly hurting and is looking to avoid further punishment which Demi has sensed. Theron has instructed her to 'force the fight and finish this old broad'. Both are confident this will take place. Lovato is circling her prey not demonstrating any anxiety at all. Kelly is unnerved by this show of strategy on the younger fighter's part. She has to act. O'Donnell attacks full bore firing lefts and rights at Lovato as they exchange blows at midring. This is an ultimate test of will and strength now and there is no turning back for either. Kelly catches two for every one shot she inflicts on Demi. The crowd is on it's feet roaring as perspiration flows freely from each combatant. Kelly's eyes are closing now from the hammering the young and faster gal is giving her. "Beating you up now mama" is Demi's comment as they match blow for blow but Lovato's are serving to literally bring Kelly to a standstill. Kelly O'Donnell FALLS to a left to the body and then vicious right uppercut to the jaw from Demi Lovato. She is on her back and struggling to get up. Kelly pushes herself up at eight as Sommer waves Lovato back in. Several more blows from each follow but Kelly is the beaten fighter now. She is stumbling around the ring as Demi Lovato slams her one last time in the jaw with a left hook. Kelly's body hits the ropes as she groans 'Ya got me Demi' and then plummets face down onto the canvas. She is knocked stiff by this upcoming starlet. Demi likes those green bikini panties and captures them from Kell's unconcious form. O'Donnell is left naked save for her stilletto heels. Demi wakes Kelly up with smelling salts and then puts a 'side saddle on her back' and the ride begins around the ring. 'Giddy Up old babe' chortles Demi. Kelly collapses again though and is face down in the ring for the last time. She has tried but the young Demi Lovato proved way too much for her. It is back to 'Cougar fighting' for Kelly O'Donnell. Vanessa Williams and Halle Berry, Kelly's defeated rivals in the ring, give her credit for trying.

Post Fight- Kelly has her robe back on along with a Cleveland Indians baseball cap. 'Demi was way too much fighter for me' admits the beaten older newcaster. 'She has sent me back to cougartown for my fights in the future'. Demi gives Kelly credit for her willingness to mix it up and says how surprised she was by getting decked earlier by the older fighter. "It was fun and I am proud to have faced a game older gal who showed me some real fight". "I will carry this victory into my next fight regardless of who is is" The two ladies hit the showers as Kelly plans to take a week off to heal from the pounding. Back they go up to the suite for the last time to celebrate Demi's win with another nice dinner, then some pool sharking and then more rolling around in the sheets. J.F.
