With the Monte Carlo crowd still chanting Lea Seydoux's name, Cristina Scabbia arrives in the ring to face fellow singer and ex-Spice Girl member, Geri Halliwell. The English redhead looks to make amends for the brutal loss of her bandmate Emma Bunton against Seydoux and her prospects are looking much better as Scabbia fell to Bunton earlier this year in Manchester but the home ring advantage is with the Italian rock singer who has a strong line of rock/metal supporters with her coming from the Mediterranean area.

No teasing and ill-temper during the introductions but if looks could kill, both these women would be in real trouble. Seemingly this will be another vicious encounter with no love lost between the two fighters and Cristina Scabbia looks really good in her shining black leather one-piece with a big cleavage to enhance her profile. Black hair in loose curls are no match for Geri's carrot-like curls though and the English singer sports a navy blue one-piece with a likewise massive cleavage which keeps several fans glued to her assets and somewhat mute at the start of the fight.

Round 1:
Cristina doesn't go as aggressive after her rival as Lea did and pays an early prize since Geri has other ideas and spikes to the Italian's midsection, clips her rack and looks to go around the elbows before Scabbia finally fights back and clips Halliwell's ribs instead. Both women fall into an early clinch but Geri makes more moves after the command and keeps slicing through on her foe's body, beats Scabbia for pace and sways her cleavage a couple of times before stepping back. Cristina kicks into higher gear thereafter but can't find her way through and seeks another clinch in the middle of the ring until Geri nails her with an overhand right on the eye and staggers in the middle of the ring; redhead slams more punches on the ribs afterwards and pushes the local favorite back to the ropes but Cristina shows some speed and dekes to the side, escapes couple of wild hooks from Halliwell and counters from the side, catches the English singer on the cheek with an overhand left herself and pours with more shots on the tummy before the bell halts her progress.

Round 2:
More action from Scabbia at the start of the second as she clips Halliwell's chin with an initial hooking approach but a subsequent counter from Geri slams the Italian on the tummy and takes the wind out of her for a moment which sees Geri slamming more shots around the elbows. Cristina reels back to the ropes, uses some nifty footwork to stay clear of trouble as Halliwell hassles her around the ring but can't quite reach and slows down. Both women circle around the ring and seek a fresh attacking attempt as Cristina keeps her guard high and forces the redhead to blink first as Geri finally has enough for this cagey round and goes on the tummy, leaps a couple of times but gets nailed with an overhand right as Scabbia once again shows some speed and sends more shots on the chest thereafter, drills more jabs on the midriff and makes Halliwell moan in pain. Crowd gets behind the raven-haired vixen again as she thumps more leather into Geri's rack in the final minute and slows her down, outworks in close range and nails on the navel just before the bell and that really causes the redhead to throw a death stare at the Italian but ref jumps between the fighters and prevents any further action.

Round 3:
Cristina finally found her stride for good and keeps tackling Geri's breasts as the redhead counters over the top but despite snapping the Italian's head back, she can't stop her from attacking the chest and tries to jump to the side. Scabbia lashes out at her though and spikes on the tummy before sending a crisp uppercut on the jaw which stumbles Halliwell back again. Left hook catches the redhead on the nose and Geri's rocked, covers up but has the brunette ripping through her guts like crazy and pushing to the ropes where more jabbing on the ribcage follows and the crowd awaits a juicy knockdown coming... but Cristina just runs out of breath after a high-tempo effort and allthough Geri moans in pain and sinks on her knees, she refuses to go down and both women finally settle for a clinch with Cristina still drilling the single hand into her foe's midriff. Halliwell refuses to let go of the clinch, must be pushed by the ref and ducks to the side as Scabbia tries to nail her with more shots on the head. Jabbing response crashes off the Italian's ribs instead and a visibly upset local favorite has to step back and allow the English rival to survive the round in one piece.

Round 4:
Geri's still slower of the two, falls into Scabbia's striking zone seconds into the fourth and can't do much about more low jabs targeting her ribcage. Single hand response goes a long way off the brunette's head and Cristina picks up more courage, bunny hops around the aching redhead and spikes her over the top, snaps the head back with some shots but slams off the guard all too often to cause any serious damage. Geri circles back to center of the ring, still under repeated assault as she tries to counter but misses the rack attempt and eats a left hook on the ribs and reels back to the ropes. Scabbia with a big smile on her face, just harrasses the English vixen but allthough she easily beats her for pace, she just can't hurt her enough, seemingly seeking a brief respite herself but yet pulling further ahead on the cards.

Round 5:
Scabbia traps Halliwell on the ropes early with a hooking combo that had the redhead tripping over her own feet before a left hook nailed her on the jaw and there's more leather coming on the tummy now as the Italian opens up from both wings and keeps punishing Geri's stomach until there's finally cover on display but a quick switch sees Cristina land a left/right combo on the face and Halliwell snapping back onto the ropes, getting spun on the turnbuckles moments later with more vicious shots on the face but the redhead refuses to go down... for a brief moment at least because a left hook finally breaks the low guard and crashes off the navel as Halliwell yelps out for air, can't find it, eats a right hook on the eye and TUMBLES DOWN ONTO THE CANVAS as the crowd errupts in joy! Scabbia over the moon too, leaps in the air as the fallen redhead is down on all fours, but not quite done yet! She scrambles herself upright at seven and allthough she holds her tummy and looks worse to wear ref alllows the fight to resume! Local favors on hand as the Monte Carlo audience is set for another heavy knockout at the expense of the Spice Girl power and on comes Cristina to finish the redhead off... left hook on the jaw... misses, Scabbia with a right hand on the eye but just gets beaten to it by Geri's right hand on the jaw herself and GETS ROCKED instead... Black hair flies everywhere as Scabbia stumbles back and takes a knee... crowd silenced but there's no count and allthough Geri charges after the Italian vixen, ref cuts her off and indicates Cristina slipped and calls for a break. Halliwell's too tired to fight for it, acceps the decision and adjusts her hair as Scabbia gets up to everyone's delight and leaps after her but that knockdown took too much time to clear up, even though it wasn't a knockdown according to the officials and allthough she drills more punches into Geri's guts, she can't hurt her enough to finish this fight at this stage. Lucky shot from Halliwell but she's affected after a sudden rage at the start of the round and that really gets the Italian upset and waiting for easy prey next. Crowd is all smiles too as they witness Haliwell's slow walk to her corner.

Round 6:
The vicious Geri of the past eighteen months is nowhere to be seen and Cristina jumps on the wounded rival with more jabs on the tummy, Halliwell almost gobsmacked by the the second wave of venom thrown at her and the knockdown makes no difference as Scabbia drills the leather on the cleavage, unable to demolish the navy blue outfit but punching Geri's rack makes up for it as the English girl gets shoved back to the ropes and just soaks up punishment as Scabbia's eyes are blurred by the sweat, yet she keeps hammering into the redhead's tummy and ups the moaning rate in the proccess. Soon Halliwell's wincing fails to break though the crowd's reactions as Scabbia shatters the arms apart and pounds away at the midriff, causes the redhead's arms to fall to the side and follows up with a right uppercut on the jaw as Geri's turned into a proper punchbag... but not for long as that last shot sends her to the orbit and SHE CRASHES FACE-FIRST at Cristina's feet and she's out cold. Madness in Monte Carlo and a big upset as well... KO R6 Cristina Scabbia in brutal fashion!!

Post-fight:
Talk about milking the home court advantage! The Italian singer got smoked by Emma Bunton just couple of months ago and now gives Geri Halliwell a huge beatdown in Monte Carlo just like that! Numerous pundits indicate that the loss to Jade Ewen which Geri suffered in April might be a turning point of her career and the one that finally relieves her of the BBU elite status but hardly anyone expected such a traumatic experience against Cristina Scabbia who dished out some punishment against couple of lower-ranked rivals but had nothing on Geri's inferior stable- and bandmate Emma Bunton. And now this! Geri's place at the upcoming Ashes card seemed solid like a rock even as late as earlier today but after such a horrendous beatdown there will be some nervous looks in the BBU headquarters in Cardiff.

The Monte Carlo crowd doesn't worry about the Ashes though as the winning Italian singer seats herself next to Lea Seydoux and it's turning into a great night for the Latin Union while the second of the Spice Girls has to be escorted off the ring by the medical crew. However there's still Mel B. left on the card to salvage the last ounce of pride for the pop legends and the entire Barnet faithful.
