Before: Rutherford durable journeywoman from Melrose and Kindred days - one of Spellings workhorses, gets the call from Landry as Ali positions for title showdowns. Landry the favourite - if Rutherford has any veteran tricks, she'd better use them. Black sports bra, red terrycloth Adidas trunks for Ali, white sports bra, teal Adidas trunks for Kelly.

During R1: Ali showing Kelly what to expect - the strength, the pressure, the power. Rutherford with her gloves up, is rattled as Landry bangs hard to the ribs and shoulders, snapping off heavy handed combinations and moving Kelly with some of these shots. Shutout Landry.

R2: Landry continues to work the body, but she's careless, and Rutherford able to take a half step back, counters with chopping left hooks that have Ali a little wobbly. Midway through the round, Kelly steps back, walks Ali onto a beautiful right uppercut that has Landry floundering. Kelly takes over on the inside, utilizing her shoulder nicely to nudge Ali off balance, setting her up for clouting hooks on the jaw.

R3, 4, 5: Pitched two way action as the girls lean in forehead to forehead to trade leather. Ali taking the 3rd and 5th, Kelly the 4th - these are close, action packed rounds with neither girl really giving any ground. First one then the other will spank away to the body with lusty lefts and rights, then they'll fall in to breathe before muscling up for more. It's to Landry's liking, and after 5, Rutherford begins to show the tell tale droop at the edges of the mouth, the slumped posture in her corner - those heavy hands of Landry's are adding up.

R6: Landry now in charge, bodying up, walking Kelly back, and leaning in with smashing right hands around Kelly's guard, or clubbing lefts across the blonde's waist. Beautiful right cross slaps out Kelly's mouthpiece early as Landry grins - Rutherford not backing off, but fighting hurt as she grinds it out the rest of the way.

R7, 8, 9, 10: Ali wins the final four rounds to lump up on the blonde who had started so promisingly in this fight. Landry just too strong, and Kelly doing nothing to blunt the strength, just going toe to toe, fighting for as long as she can, then shriveling as All's punches pile up. Landry helping herself to mitt-fuls of Rutherford's tummy, has the blonde bunching up and groaning on the inside - Ali able to push and palm her blonde into any position, then pound away at leisure. Landry working steadily if unspectacularly gets it done with a steady beat, leaving Rutherford used and shaky by the final bell. Unanimous duke Ali Landry.

After: Professional beat down of a durable pug makes Landry look awfully plausible as a top contender. Landry simply disposing of Rutherford, won't comment on the fight afterwards, choosing instead to ruminate on the big fights in her future and the girls she intends to beat on her way to greatness.
