Former bantamweight champion Jessica begins her comeback after her demolition by Lisa Maffia and boxing lesson from Alesha Dixon against a girl who’s only fight ended in defeat to Jessica’s hated rival, Alesha Dixon. Defeat for Jessica tonight would be a disaster for her prospects of regaining her title.

Yumi enters the ring first, the Japanese model in a dark blue bikini with matching accessories, and she’s joined by Jessica, the former champion in a red bikini tonight, her globves and boots white, and she is a good three inches taller than her young opponent – twelve years older, too, so this should be an interesting clash.

Round 1

Jessica’s a little sluggish in the opening seconds, and she’s paying for it as the busy Yumi wipes a pair of hard hooks across her face, looks shocked at the Japanese girl’s intensity at first, but she starts to use her reach, and gives the girl a couple of hard jabs which make her cover up. Yumi’s head is knocked back, but she still comes forward, still looks for Jessica’s body, and Jessica’s having to take her share of punches in this opening round, Yumi looking to prove her worth to her stable tonight.

Round 2

In comes Yumi again, swinging at Jessica’s body, but she comes up short with her opening assault – and pays for it! Jessica gives a hard one-two to her unprotected face, and the model goes to ground, face first, rolling over and up at 6. Jessica takes her time, but she smacks another couple of hard punches into Yumi’s face, warming to her task as she chooses her target, wastes nothing in energy, with the smaller Japanese girl’s face already beginning to bruise, her eyes showing just how much that knockdown has hurt her.

Round 3

Again and again Jessica lands her jabs in Yumi’s face, the girl’s head rolling on her shoulders as she takes the blows, still trying to come forward to land on the German’s body, knowing she has to tire her out, but she’s taking so much punishment she won’t last much longer! In she comes again, but another one-two has her jumping backwards, with Jessica trying the uppercut, going for the finish already, satisfied that Yumi’s got nothing left to offer.

Round 4

It’s hard to see what Yumi can do about this – and it’s hard for her to see anything as Jessica whips two more solid punches into her face, and she’s floored her again with a lovely left hook – Yumi didn’t see it coming! Again she’s up, at 7 this time, but the referee’s hovering around her, let’s the fight go on, but Jessica sets her up and hooks her again, Yumi going back down in a heap – but she beats the count again, just about at 9, her legs hardly holding her. The referee’s seen enough, and that’s over.

Result: Jessica Schwarz stopped Yumi Sogimoto in round 4.

Jessica looked to be at or near her best tonight – and that’s bad news if, like Yumi, you’re three inches or so shorter than she is.
