BEFORE: Valance basking in the glow of a high profile upset over big Beyonce Knowles - Holly cautions the press on over-applauding that accomplishment in prefight. "This is a totally different fight, against a totally different fighter," Holly says at podium. "It's fighting a girl who's trying to smash you with a sledgehammer vs a girl who's trying to skewer you with a rapier. I had to put on 15 pounds for Beyonce and concentrate on moving after every punch: for Odette, I need to go right at her, take away her range, and be the puncher. Avoiding hurt was the key against B; GIVING hurt will win the day against Odette!"

Yustman hard-eyed, unusually cold towards Holly in prefight...brunette coming in with a bit of a chip on her lovely shoulder. "I'm mad that people are still talking about Laura Vandervoort and Yvonne Strahovski," Odette frowns at podium, "when it's been proven again and again that I'm better. Obviously just being better isn't enough. Obviously just beating girls isn't enough. I've got to showcase on Holly - treat her shabby - do something to her that'll make me the water-cooler topic come Monday morning. So be it: if Valance needs to be sacrificed in a big way, I'm up for the job!"

During R1: Tactical maneuvers - Odette fighting tall, working behind the jab; Holly with feints and head-movement, looking to dart inside, get off ratatat flurries. Neither girl hurt - both just testing each other's reflexes, trying to establish ring-command.

R2: Similar intensity - nobody taking any chances. Odette trying to come forward behind the jab more - doubling it - right hand curled into her chest, ready to smite. Valance slipping poke, hopping side to side, trying to use more of the ring, draw Odette forward, then trick her into exchanging.

R3: Odette's will prevails. Long jab established now, forcing Holly to bob and weave outside. Sliding, oily right hands strafe blonde front, driving Valance to ropes as she forms protective earmuff. Seeing the earmuff front, Odette steps in long on front (left) leg; dips left shoulder, pops narrow hips right, and RIPS that rising, lapping left hook off Holly's ribs/tummy underneath. Valance grunting in receipt of withering hooks, then pushing Odette away...Yustman loping around, getting back into position with her jab, then continuing to impose will bell to bell.

R4: Holly bobbing, weaving her way close, then swiping at Odette's slinky ribs...Yustman loping away, showing leg in first minute. Odette gradually re-asserting herself behind that jab - flicking it out there while steppin' clockwise, bringing Holly to heel. Dip-and-rip left hooks/uppercuts lap at Holly's torso underneath as she's stooping forward in earmuff...Odette just taking a willow-switch to Holly, snatching at blonde midsection. Valance' legs give a shimmy late, she backs away all eyes-wincing: blonde girl's hurt, brunette walks her down - sleek thighs shredding into sinewy relief. Round ends to the sight of Holly fretting at the ropes, hands up to block shots: Odette punching from flat-footed stance, left elbow up high as she knocks left jabs at Holly's pate; right hand slinging out wide to deliver savage buggy-whip licks against Holly's left flank. Bell: Holly trembling, striped, and well-lashed...Odette looks her over with smoldering satisfaction.

R5: Holly ups-tempo, gets after Odette in earnest. Job 1: cut off the ring - Valance stepping to the side, influencing Odette to corners. Job 2: get low/jab-with taller girl...Valance weaving her way inside, feeding Odette poke on the come, establishing position on Odette's chest. Job 3: punch...Holly flashing wicked combination rips to Odette's slender waist; climbing the ladder to beat those ribs, humble those jugs. Odette snarling, wanting to compete out of the corners...she's pushing on Holly's shoulders, trying to feed her rangy uppercuts, but getting bludgeoned in the attempt. Down the stretch, THUMPING left/right to gut cramps Odette up...she's cringing, loading up an ill-advised left, but Holly re-jigs, gets off first, hooking Odette's chin a tidy pre-emptive swipe and DOWN GOES YUSTMAN! Brunette sprawling onto her back all eyes-staring...Holly just twisting into that nice tight shot, catching Odette flush...blonde jauntily to neutral corner, showing a winner's smile as rickety brunette pulls herself up at bell!

R6: Different fight now - Odette's legs stiff - easy for Holly to drive Yustman to ropes, tummy-jab to prep, then square away to process. Grim siege of Odette on the apron...willowy brunette stooping forward dukes-at-cheeks, keeping elbows in tight...she's hunkering down, cringing at the hot touch of Holly's snapping mitts. Valance bouncing her hands off lean brunette flanks; beating Odette's sleek arms. Blonde fitting right uppercuts firm to sternum underneath, digging up into slender brunette, grinning hard at Yustman's breathy whimpers in receipt. Odette not just sitting there to take: she'll snatch-back as compact as she can - right hand tight to cheek while she tries the hook; left hand tight to cheek as she jerks the short right uppercut; dipping to her left for nibbling little left uppercuts to firm blonde body. Bell: Holly nodding aggressively...she'll take those terms all night long, if she can.

R7: Odette quickly hustled to ropes: Holly rushes in, chopping a savage right/left under Odette's breast-line. Sobbing brunette forms face-in-gloves, turning right side against cables, cringing as Holly beats her without mercy. Valance baring her fangs, bashing at Odette with hate on every shot: vicious overhand hammer-fist rights taking Odette on her back; rising, shoveling lefts beating at Odette's protected face; working the ribs of her left flank. It's all too much - Yustman just getting ransacked on the strands...her legs give way in stages, putting her on all fours - Holly stooping, bellowing down all hot-cheeked with Yustman-hate. Ref pulls Holly away - she's doing a little sexy dance in neutral corner, loving the sight of shabby Odette pulling her wretched body up ropes for an 8. ON COMES HOLLY! Plenty of time on the clock - Valance just squaring on Odette - measuring her with an extended, pawing left, then feeding her short, shocking, stubby straight right hands to face. Yustman swaying, glassy-eyed, trembling-lipped...she's so hurt, legs quivering with quit...she'll palm her left hand at Holly's forehead, then chop tired rights at blonde face - taking a thick pasting of lefts and rights in return. Odette will dip to her left, offering a rubbery left hook at Holly's ribs: again a torrent of bashing leather in response, beating Odette down in reprisal. Bell: Holly whirling from sagging, destitute Odette with a shout of "YES!" Blonde girl in command through 7 bashing heats.

R8: More Holly on Odette violence - Yustman so brave, fighting with doomed defiance off ropes. Holly the fresher, the stronger - her jab knocks Odette upright; thudding body shots buckle Odette forward; right hands that crash across Odette's face leave her bleak and staring. Yustman swaying on the spot, but pushing on Holly's face or shoulders, trying to block blonde rage. Odette grimacing, draping slender limbs around Holly's head and shoulders, but not wrapping up...Valance able to pump away in close, working mitts and forearms into Odette's trembling ribs and tummy. Yustman ragdolled, repeatedly stacked and jacked...Holly pushing off slumping brunette at bell - blonde-girl GLOWING with conquest through 8.

R9: Midring slugging - Holly belting away for the finish...she munches on a rangy right uppercut clean to chin, standing blonde girl up straight on her heels: Odette's wide, lanky left hook clouts across, swiveling Holly's head and BLONDE GIRL DOWN! Valance blinking on her back in shock...Odette's turn to shriek down in blind rage as ref's bundling her off. POOR HOLLY! Beautiful blonde girl rickety-rolling over left hip, getting too all fours, spilling onto her face, scrambling up...she just barely beats the count, blinking and buzzed at ropes! ON COMES ODETTE! Yustman flat-footed, grim snarl in place...she goes at Holly with long-armed volume. Odette's left elbow up high - she's just knocking her jab atop Holly's head or face, feeding Holly well placed, methodical right crosses, then dipping-down to work gut left/right with a rangy, shellacking delivery. Holly cringing - head-punches have her confused, frazzled; body shots bunching her up. Nothing back from Valance...Odette just touching, touching, touching - resetting behind that nasty knocking pate-jab, then working her patterns up and down. Holly paralyzed, visibly wilting - Odette's just wearing her out! REF STEPS IN! Holly swaying on the spot, curvy legs holding her up, but she's out on her feet...TKO9 Odette Yustman leaves a shattered Holly V in tears!

AFter: Heartbreaking come from behind loss for Holly...dramatic as it is, it's not enough for Odette!

Yustman snarling, pulling Holly up off her stool with left hand gripping rough around blonde left bicep. Valance shellshocked, puffy-faced, bewildered, sputtering: "What...what're you..."

Odette: "Shut up. You're going."

Walk. Of. Shame.

Odette mean with her girl, tugging Holly by her arm, posing Holly in the corners. Crowd booing...Valance fought bravely and well tonight - she doesn't deserve this heinous treatment. Odette hard-hearted, angry as she jerks Holly about, berating blonde girl throughout the circuit.

After the final corner, Odette demands Holly raise her arms in surrender. Valance blubbering, chest heaving as she complies - hands up above her head as she fights back tears of shame. Odette standing to Holly's left, displaying conquered blonde like one of Barker's beauties displaying a New Fridge on Price is Right, then...RIGHT ELBOW TIP SMASHES INTO HOLLY'S TUMMY! Gorgeous strike catches blonde girl just below navel, doubling Valance up with a gurgling cry...arms wrap her tummy as she turns to her right, pitches to canvas, lying on right side in fetal position - she's hugging herself, drawing her knees up, sobbing for breath. Odette pushing officials away, baring her teeth as she looms over fallen Valance...Yustman's shouting out an extra 10 count! BLONDE! Magazine immediately putting Odette on their "Top 10 Brunettes Who Must Be Beaten" list. Odette wanted more notoriety...she's got it now!
