Following her maiden FCBA success against Elizabeth Olsen earlier this year, Lioness Club's Charlotte Church targets big plans on this side of the Atlantic in the upcoming months, so big that even her bantamweight stablemate Jessica Schwarz doesn't look all that pleased and has set out for a comeback tour few weeks earlier than originally planned. But that's for another day to follow as Church lands in her Cardiff backyard with one and only one mission to accomplish. That mission is to destroy Gemma Bissix!

The Surrey based actress didn't fight since September of last year, getting shoved down the Beever's Babes' pecking order despite some fine wins on her resume. One of them includes a brutal KO4 destruction of Church on the November Nemesis card two years ago and if there's ever a result that drives the Welsh singer mad, it's the beatdown she suffered against Bissix. It's about time for a rematch but the Beevers blonde thinks she can derail Charlotte's campaign at the second hurdle (the first one being a victory over Elodie Frege in Monte Carlo) and begin one of her own instead. Living in the shadows of Lisa Maffia and Alesha Dixon doesn't suit the Surrey blonde much and she plans to announce herself in the big league tonight! BBU TV's Olivia Godfrey remans coy on her chances though with the ring rust working against her more than anything else.

Round 1:
Church moves on the front foot as the Cardiff crowd roars in support and gets a welcomed sight with the local favorite thumping her mitts against Gemma's cheeks early, slicing the guard with suprising ease and harrassing the Surrey blonde across the canvas in the opening minute. Bissix's unable to stretch her arms, fails to tame her foe's work rate and precision and is fortunate enough to avoid getting trapped on the ropes with Charlotte boxing full of confidence and just going forward, swinging around the head all the way until the final minute when she finally switches low and peppers the ribcage but the precision is not that excellent anymore as Gemma blocks her off with the forearms and counters high herself, throws some jabs on the cheeks and has Church dancing on her feet but then a low hook on the tummy signs off the round with the Welsh warrior leaving her blonde rival gasping for air.

Round 2:
More aggression from the local girl who finds success with overhand shots on the cheeks as Gemma gets walked down again and struggles in close range. Blonde curls get snapped around as Church keeps the high tempo and slices between the mitts, indicates at some early bruising on Bissix's face and even though we've had enough damage on the card earlier, there's always demand for more and Charlotte keeps swinging upstairs, clips Gemma's temple and buries a straight jab on the nose thereafter. Bissix's footowork just not up to par tonight, she leaps to the side but still can't shrug her rival off as the Welsh singer drives low for a change and catches the Surrey girl by surprise, pummels around the elbows and hurts the ribcage. Gemma almost falls on the ropes, dekes into safety in the very last moment and launches a response, thumps Charlotte on the cheek with a left hook, tries to follow up with some jabs over the top but gets nailed on the ribs again and has to cover up as Church peppers her in close range and forces to reel back in the opposite side. The high guard finally works well for the blonde late in the round which makes the Welsh favorite angry at the bell as she gives Gemma a proper death stare before heading back to her corner.

Round 3:
Charlotte's keen to really hurt the blonde but she's been somewhat underwhelming thus far. This finally changes in the third as she rips a series in Gemma's tummy with the elbows too high and unable to provide protection. Bissix covered for the high attacks that never materialised and she's stranded in the middle of the ring soaking up ribcage barrage as Charlotte finally shows some venom and thump a left hook on the liver area, just misses the jackpot, has the blonde bending forward and really having very little to say before a left cross-hook snaps her head back and a right hand follow up connects with the nose. Bissix's rocked and stumbles back, drops her guard and Church spikes her with a left hook on the jaw, pummels back to the ropes and switches low again, pounds away at the midriff and has the blonde all covered up and moaning loudly much to the crowd's delight. More jabbing efforts crash off the forearms though as Bissix seeks clinch instead but gets whacked on the chest and yelps in another act of pain; Church snaps the head back with ferocious striking from both hands and quite frankly Gemma offers next to nothing while trapped on the ropes; she only manages to clinch the local favorite in the dying seconds of the round but looks badly affected by that ring rust and is lucky to escape another uppercut on the jaw as Church send it wide of the mark.

Round 4:
Gemma tries to hang back in mid-range but gets walked down quickly and is forced to engage in a leather trade-off, spikes Church on the eye and follows up to the chest, has the Welsh warrior dancing on her toes in avoidance and that's a lucky break for the Surrey girl who sends a left hook on the temple and forces Charlotte back. Bissix moves on the front foot, jabs around the elbows and now has Church covering distance instead but responding from behind the guard. Couple of quick jumps from Bissix who crashes against the mitts though and eats a left hook on the navel.. Church's right at her now and charging with the low attack, peppering the ribcage before a clinch halts her progress but the ref is keen to shove the blonde away in first place, allows Church to walk after her and slam a right hook on the nose immediately after the command. Bissix moans loudly as she was caught napping for a moment; eats a left hook on the eye aftwrwards and Church makes the most of this as she pummels to the chest and breaks the blonde's guard, pushes her back to the ropes again and thumps a series on the ribcage. More Welsh venom on demand and Church staggers her rival for good with another series of jabs against the navel; Gemma drops her arms and gets laced on the chin right at the bell with a quick uppercut and she just looks totally lost out there tonight.

Round 5:
Church with a big left hook on the nose seconds into the fifth and Bissix just can't shrug her away, engages in another leather trade-pff but gets the short end of the stick this time as the Welsh girl rips into her mouth with a fine cross-hooking combo, shows more agility and avoidance, dekes around a bleak response and counters on the chest, thumps a right hook on the white bikini top and finds another uppercut as Bissix sags on the ropes for good and drops her arms. Charlotte with a facial attack over the top, the ammount of leather starts to give her the intimidating factor over the Surrey foe and she just rains down on a hapless looking Gemma, rocks her from side to side and keeps butt-in-ropes, slams a right cross on the temple and whips more leather downstairs, just pummelling the blonde down the stretch as the crowd absolutely enjoy this display even when she finally gasses out late in the going and eats a left hook on the chin. Bissix stares at her when the ref jumps in to prevent further action; tries to salvage some pride but she's lost all five rounds tonight and effectively needs a knockout to avoid a painful revenge.

Round 6:
Church keeps running riot, slams more low jabs on the blonde's body and pushes her towards the ropes as the overhand response only grazes the mouth and exposes Gemma's flank. Charlotte with some fine spiking afterwards, finds success and bends the blonde to the side, follows up with more ribcage attack from the other hand and tags her chin with a quick change of targets. Bissix soaks up punishement but refuses to buckle, eats a gutwrencher on the navel though and staggers on her knees; Church with a left hook on the eye finally spins her back to the ropes and launches another body barrage, pummels around the elbows and Bissix can't stop moaning all of the sudden, gets shoved against the turnbuckle as she tries to escape but that only fuels Charlotte's anger who wants the blonde to suffer and she just clobbers from from point-blank range working the mitts around the guard and straight between, smacking Gemma on the nose and as the round concludes, some blood stains mark the location where Bissix was getting pummelled while she's making some gestures at her cutmen as the nostrils are indeed damaged and leak the red liqid fast.

Round 7:
Charlotte storms out of her stool and shows no signs of fatigue, that's defnitely an improved Church we're seeing in the past few months and she's just too much for the blonde, slicing the guard and targeting the nose straight off the bell. Bissix looks uneasy with her nose leaking blood and that's the case again when a left/right combo snaps her head back and undoes all the patching up from the interval. Church keeps going forward and sends menacing jabs on the face, almost cat & mouse games in the ring but with the mouse struggling for any resistance and Gemma's lost this mentally as well as physically, allows the Welsh foe to crash off her mouth again and there's no guard to be seen anymore with Church cracking a left hook on the temple and sagging Bissix on her knees, left/right cross on the nose follows and the bloodied Surrely girl finally CRUMBLES ONTO HER KNEES and just stares at her nemesis but there's little she can do about tonight other than beating the count at seven. Church slams her on the ribs after the command, buries more jabs on the navel and has the blonde moaning with her eyes closed, getting pushed against the ropes and eating leather all over the body. There are darker patches on Gemma's gloves as the blood continues to leak from the nostrils and Church is pushing her mitts against the face, slams another left hook on the mouth and causes the arms to drop to the side, another left hook on the nose and it's painful to watch now as Bissix drifts into the arms of Morpheus but the ref finally steps in and drags the Welsh vixen away from her wounded prey... TKO R7 Charlotte Church!!!

Post-fight:
The Cardiff crowd celebrates with their favorite as Charlotte looks like she hardly broke sweat and took a very easy victory over a hatred rival. Gemma Bissix never really arrived tonight and all those months spend in Alesha Dixon and Lisa Maffia's shadow resulted in her being a complete mismatch to an in-form Welsh warrior.

Gemma's career has definitely stalled and she was made look very sluggish by an opponent whom she destroyed 20 months ago. The times have indeed changed and as a dazed blonde gets escorted off the ring, BBU TV's Olivia Godfrey indicates no other than Alesha Dixon herself will try to do a number on Charlotte Church and avenge her own defeat from June last year. The Beevers were always keen to rule the bantamweight with an iron fist only for Jessica Schwarz to have other ideas but more Lioness Club success just won't be accepted especially coming from a fighter of Charlotte's audacious presence. And when Dixon gets angry, you better have what it takes!
