BEFORE:

"Gemma's good," says Jill with a nod. "VERY good. But, as Serinda Swan, who's also very good found out, I'm just a little better.

"Jill is a top-level lightweight, no doubt about that," says Gemma. "But, better than me? I think NOT."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and..."

McCarthy: "What's THAT noise?"

Cassie: "Oooh, wittle J-Mac not gonna wike thisssss..."

McCarthy: "What ARE you babbling about, Scabbo?"

Tess: "First questions first. The SONG is 'No Ordinary Girl' by Kate Alexa and the subject of said song most certainly is NOT ordinary. She is the lovely Claire Holt, who is, even now, making her way to ringside!"

McCarthy: "What's SHE doing here? She's not on the card!"

O'Dell: "And she's not dressed to fight. Claire in a black evening dress, climbing into the ring, asking for a mic, and being handed one..."

McCarthy: "What's this all about? I'll bet Weirdo and that buddy of his Odds and Ends Man are behind this..."

Tess: "It's Odd Man..."

McCarthy: "WhatEVER..."

O'Dell: "Let's listen..."

Claire: "Well, it's certainly nice to be here in Philadelphia!"

(Crowd roars)

McCarthy: "Cheap pop..."

Claire: "I heard there was going to be a card tonight, so I figured I'd better stop by, since J-Mac was going to be here."

McCarthy: "GET OUT OF THAT RING, HOLT!"

O'Dell: "Calm down, Mac..."

Claire: "You know, Mac, you were a hard woman to find. I called and called. I texted, emailed, Tweeted, Facebooked, sent a letter, even tried a carrier pigeon, but no love, Mac."

McCarthy: "I don't know what you're talking about, you..."

Claire: "Don't play DUMB, Mac...oh, wait. You aren't PLAYING..."

McCarthy: "THAT'S IT..."

O'Dell: "Calm DOWN, Mac. SIT DOWN..."

Cassie: "Uh oh, she's going UP there..."

O'Dell: "Come BACK here..."

Tess: "Mac into the ring, getting a mic of her own. Security surrounding the ring, ready to go if things get out of hand..."

McCarthy: "YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME, HOLT?"

Claire: "Actually, Mac, I DON'T..."

McCarthy(smiling): "Well, you're apparently smarter than I thought..."

Claire: "I didn't want YOU, Mac. I wanted YOUR GIRL, Olivia Munn on pay-per-view for the belts, and you ignored me! Fortunately, my management went OVER YOUR HEAD to Sceej and we got the title fight YOU were trying to duck!"

(Crowd roaring)

McCarthy: "YOU didn't DESERVE a title shot! You're a wet-behind-the-ears rookie who got lucky a couple of times!"

Claire: "Yes. I DO, Mac. And I couldn't figure out why you were so dead set against giving it to me. Then I figured it out. Now, I know why, Mac, and I'm going to tell all these fine folks here in Philly. Unless...you don't want them to know..."

McCarthy(smirking): "I have no idea what you're talking about, Holt. Finish babbling so we can get to the fight."

Claire: "Ok, I'll tell them. Mac didn't want me to have this fight, fans, because, now that I have it, Because I'll accomplish in NINE FIGHTS what took HER FOURTEEN YEARS!"

McCarthy: "THAT'S IT..."

O'Dell: "Here we go! Mac charges Holt and they're quickly rolling around in the middle of the ring! Security immediately inside to pull them apart. Holt forced back into one neutral corner and Mac into the other. Mac still holding that microphone..."

McCarthy: "YOU'VE GOT YOUR TITLE FIGHT, HOLT! AND MUNN'S GOING TO KICK YOUR..."

Cassie: "Oooh, truck showing excellent timing in cutting off Mac's mic..."

O'Dell: "Working with her is KILLING me. And by that, I mean it is LITERALLY taking years off my LIFE. Holt being escorted out of the ring by security, and now that she's safely down the aisle, they're allowing Mac to come back here to the table...sit DOWN, Mac and put on your headset!"

McCarthy: "...And AFTER Munn whips her a**, I just might put the gloves back on and take a turn!"

O'Dell: "And THAT music is 'In The Hall of the Mountain King' by Edvard Grieg, and that can only mean that the lovely Jill Wagner is on her way to the ring..."

Cassie: "Jill, of course, represents BAZZ..."

McCarthy: "Kind of like Brenda Song..."

Cassie: "And how WELL she represented us on pay-per-view, getting absolutely SMOKED. Maybe now Pointy will send her and her buffalo breath packing!"

O'Dell: "Jill into the ring, helped off with the robe by the Bazz corner to reveal that zebra striped number the crowd clearly likes, and that's 'London Calling' pounding over the sound system, and here comes 'The Gravesend Gladiator', Gemma Arterton!"

Tess: "Front Street has seven lightweights, and Wiz always says Gemma is the best..."

McCarthy: "What would HE know about boxing?"

Cassie: "He knew enough to sign Neve Campbell to whip YOUR butt..."

McCarthy: "SHUT UP, SCABBO!"

O'Dell(sighing): "Gemma into the ring, helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that violet number she favors, and we're about ready to go. Tess on record as favoring Gemma. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Arterton's overrated. I think Wanger will beat her just like she beat Swan."

Cassie: "And THIS time, I agree with Mac. Gemma's very good, but Jilly Wags is better."

O'Dell: "Let's find out. Bell sounds and we're underway. Lots of movement from Jill, who's, of course, very slick. Wagner in and out, working the left hand. Gemma looking to bring her to battle, jabbing with her own left, looking to cut the ring and square up."

Cassie: "Jill is a small light, but she's VERY quick, quicker than the vast majority of the girls in the division. She can use that speed and footwork to make herself very difficult to square up, and that's just what she's doing now."

O'Dell: "Gemma, on the other hand, a BIG light, very athletic, of course, and has hands as heavy as just about anyone in the division. So, the strategies here are clear. Gemma wants sustained attrition warfare. Jill plans to use hit and run tactics."

McCarthy: "And, right now, Wagner fighting her fight, but Gemma fighting it very well. Arterton able to locate with the left, score with it. Wagner not there long enough for any sustained flurries, though."

O'Dell: "Jill VERY slick. All movement of head, hands, and feet, popping, bouncing, slipping. She's, frankly, fun to watch."

Cassie: "But no fun at ALL to fight."

O'Dell: "Don't think anyone would disagree with you there, Cassie. Final seconds ticking away. Wagner all legs and motion, landing a left and another. Gemma with a left of her own. There's the bell. Close one, but Jill, ladies?"

Cassie: "Jilly Wags."

McCarthy: "Agreed. But very close. Wouldn't want to be banking on that one."

Tess: "Agreed. 10-9 Wagner after one."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Action underway in the second, and Gemma looking to cut the ring again and having some success doing it. Arterton showing that excellent footwork, working to narrow the field and bring Jill to battle."

McCarthy: "This is Arterton's fight. She squares Wagner up and forces to fight in the trenches, Jill isn't going to like the results."

O'Dell: "Gemma very active right now, moving the feet extremely well, cutting the ring down, getting Jill where she wants her and going to work. Wagner firing back, bitterly contesting every exchange, but Gemma's bigger guns winning the day at the moment."

Cassie: "But Jilly Wags holding her own in here. Just like Gemma can box with you, Jill can bang if she has to."

O'Dell: "But that's not the fight she wants to fight tonight. Gemma, however, is forcing it on her, taking away the open canvas and creating more exchanges than Jill would like. Final seconds tick away and Arterton has evened things up."

McCarthy: "You've just seen the two styles, and whichever girl can get what she wants out there is going to get her hand raised."

Tess: "And, after two, it's 19-19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third round begins with Jill back on her bicycle. Wagner slipping and dipping, bouncing and misbehaving, snapping out an accurate left, using those legs to prevent heavy engagement."

McCarthy: "Gemma very patient. Keeps working to cut the ring down. But Jill not allowing it right now."

Cassie: "This is the reason a lot of lights would rather not fight Jilly Wags. They don't want to spend ten rounds dealing with legs like this. They'd rather face a girl who's easier to find."

O'Dell: "Wagner reverse motion, pivots...AND ROCKS ARTERTON WITH A RIGHT HAND! WAGNER STAGGERS GEMMA...AND DROPS HER TO A KNEE WITH A LEFT HOOK!"

Cassie: "SEE? I TOLD you Jilly Wags could HIT!"

O'Dell: "Perfectly timed right hand off the pivot! Wagner to a neutral corner. Gemma going to take a little of the count to shake some cobwebs. Five. Six. Seven. Up at eight. Ref giving her the mandatory..."

Tess: "A lot of people handicapping this one didn't believe Jill could move Gemma..."

Cassie: "Same thing they said about Swan! Jilly Wags can HIT!"

O'Dell: "Ref waives Wagner forward. Jill back to the bicycle..."

McCarthy: "Smart move. Gemma looks to have the legs back already."

O'Dell: "Wagner circling, using that pretty reverse pivot. Gemma back to working to cut the ring down and bring the Bazz girl to battle, but Wagner all hit and run right now to the bell."

Tess: "Jill very smart down the stretch, knew she had two points and made sure to pocket them."

Cassie: "And she's now up 29-27."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Fourth round begins with Wagner again all legs. Arterton using her own good feet to narrow the canvas, though, squaring Jill up and going to work."

McCarthy: "Wagner firing back with everything she's got, though. Not going defensive. Not going to make these exchanges easy on Gemma."

O'Dell: "She certainly is NOT, but, again, the weight of shot telling for Arterton. Slowly, grimly, Gemma backing Jill up, walking her down."

Tess: "Gems going body some now. Investing some leather that could pay dividends later."

O'Dell: "Gemma loading the heavy shell now and firing away with both hands, putting punches together. Jill willing to exchange broadsides when she's forced to do so, working hard and taking all opportunities to slip away, but she's not free for long. Gemma quickly cutting her off and walking her down again."

McCarthy: "Good stuff from Arterton. All that work with Torv must have taught her something."

O'Dell: "And the final bell sounds with Gemma in control."

Cassie: "Two rounds apiece, but, that knockdown still has Jill up 38-37."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "We start the fifth with Jill again in constant movement. Gemma again stalking. Jill managing to stay in open canvas for the moment..."

Tess: "What's happening here, Mac? Why is Jill able to work her game some rounds and Gemma cuts her in others?"

McCarthy: "Because Wagner's varying footwork and movement. When Arterton adapts, Jill does something else. She's got the quickness edge here, and she's using it."

O'Dell: "This is cute stuff from Wagner. First-strike and GONE stuff. She's getting to her spots, firing, and then going right back to dancing."

Cassie: "I'm not surprised. Jill is the SECOND-cutest fighter at Bazz..."

McCarthy: "I just threw up in my mouth a little..."

O'Dell: "Jill ducking, slipping, sliding, landing that snappy left, forcing Gemma to chase. Arterton deliberate, working hard to close the ring down right to the bell."

Cassie: "And Jill has that two-point lead again. 48-46 at the halfway point."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Sixth round begins with the familiar scenario, Jill on her toes and Gemma in pursuit. Wagner snapping the jab. Gems walking through it...AND GETS ROCKED WITH A GREAT FLURRY FROM JILL!"

Cassie: "Vintage Jilly Wags! Those hands are lightning!"

O'Dell: "Wagner going after Arterton now, scorching her with clean stuff. Gemma covering up, shipping the shell and staying upright..."

McCarthy: "Difference between the two girls. Gemma nails Wags like this, the ref is counting. But Arterton's legs holding up."

O'Dell: "Jill not pushing her luck, back to the legs, circling. Gemma back to work looking to cut."

Cassie: "Showing a little more caution, though. That's what's called 'buying respect', and Jill's got herself a cart full."

O'Dell: "Wagner calling the tune, all leggy on the outside. Working that left. Gemma able to cut the ring down at times, square up, but Wagner quickly to open ocean."

Cassie: "There's no light in the world beating Jill when she can move like this. Too quick, too athletic, too slick."

O'Dell: "And she's showing all of that as the clock runs out in round six, and she's extended her lead."

Tess: "58-55 now. Jill digging Gemma a hole."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Seventh begins with Jill circling, reversing, circling again. Gemma matching footwork, cutting down the canvas, and landing solid. Wagner out of there quickly, but Gems right back at her..."

McCarthy: "Arterton trying to line up those big guns. Jill needs to stay out of range."

O'Dell: "Gems working behind that jab, moving the feet, slowing cutting the ring down...AND WOBBLING WAGNER WITH A RIGHT HAND! Jill stumbles backward and HERE COMES GEMMA! Arterton letting the heavy shell fly, pounding body, wobbling Jill AGAIN with a right hand..."

Cassie: "Jill needs to move..."

Tess: "Might not have the legs for it..."

McCarthy: "Better FIND 'em..."

O'Dell: "Arterton has the range and she's thumping home leather. Wagner shaken, tying up, Gems punching free, and Jill slipping away."

McCarthy: "Arterton thinking 'seek and destroy', Jenny..."

O'Dell: "And Jill thinking now might be a good time to put those feet to use. Wagner all evasive action now, constant motion, back and left, pivoting right, slipping and sliding, ducking and dodging. Gemma working to bring her to battle, landing solid in the short exchanges, but Wagner not hanging around to see how this comes out..."

McCarthy: "Good plan, because she's not going to like the ending..."

O'Dell: "And speaking of endings, the end of the seventh is nigh, as the final seconds tick off to the bell. Gemma's round."

Tess: "But Jill still has the lead 67-65."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "Eighth round of what's been an excellent fight begins with Gemma again in patient pursuit of Jill. Wagner still has her legs in the eighth, though, still able to bounce and move like she did at the opening bell..."

Cassie: "That's because NO stable conditions harder than Bazz. Jill runs that hill every day. And having your legs in the eighth is a result of that."

O'Dell: "Gemma not showing any wear, either. Arterton moving the feet, squaring, landing. Jill quickly angling away behind that SNAPPING left. Neither woman slowing down. Both continuing to execute the fight plan just like it was drawn up. Gemma again able to cut the ring down, bring the guns to bear, grind out some points. Wagner takes the first opportunity to slip away and get back to the war of movement."

Tess: "This HAS been a fun fight to watch, hasn't it, Mac?"

McCarthy: "If you like boxing, you have to be enjoying this. There's both a prize fight AND a chess match going on in there. Each woman trying to anticipate the other. Where's her next step going to be? Can I get her on the wrong foot? This is good stuff."

O'Dell: "Sure is. Arterton again squares Wagner, lands some thumping leather. Jill ducks a left, slips away in that direction. Final seconds tick off, and that's the eighth. Close, but Gemma."

McCarthy: "Agreed, but, like the first, this is one I wouldn't want to be counting on."

Cassie: "76-75 Jill after eight. Not much in it."

ROUND NINE:

O'Dell: "Two to go, close fight, and both women showing a sense of urgency. Jill still working those legs, clearly in awesome shape. Gemma continuing to pursue, cutting the ring, getting the angles, and walking Wagner down."

McCarthy: "Gemma really showing how athletic and well-conditioned she is right here, being able to move with a girl like Wagner and keep after her this late in the fight."

O'Dell: "And Wagner showing how much fight there is in her. Jill getting lined up and walked down, but grimly battling for every inch of territory she gives up. This is Gemma's fight she's fighting right now, but she's going to fight it as hard and as well as she can."

Cassie: "No surprise there. Jill's tough as nails."

O'Dell: "Arterton tenaciously about her work, thumping with the big guns, scoring with both hands, doing some work upstairs and some down. Wagner banging back, not as effective in these flurries, but scoring points of her own. Bitter artillery duel going on right now. Gemma having the better of it, but Jill giving plenty back to the bell."

Tess: "Gemma's round and that means it's all even on my card..."

McCarthy: "Agreed on both counts. I've got it 85 apiece. But, keep in mind, we've got two very close rounds in there that could have gone either way on the judges' cards."

Cassie: "But, if they went the way we scored them, this last round is going to decide the fight."

ROUND TEN:

O'Dell: "Final three minutes underway and Gemma right back to work. Arterton cutting off Wagner, bringing her to battle, thumping away with heavy stuff. Jill game, but outgunned in these long salvos, being forced backward and out scored."

McCarthy: "Arterton REALLY ranging in now. Landing as well as she has at any time in the fight."

O'Dell: "Gemma looking to close strong...AND WAGNER ROCKS HER WITH A RIGHT UPPERCUT OUT OF NOWHERE!"

Tess: "That punch was a BLUR..."

O'Dell: "Gemma wobbled, covering up as Jill goes to work. Wagner latherng away with both hands, looking to put this fight away in the final round."

McCarthy: "Wagner going all in! Doesn't want to have to worry about those cards!"

O'Dell: "Gemma sturdy, shipping the shell, but Jill scoring in bunches now. Arterton shaking it off and now banging back. Jill not going to trade, turning back to the legs. Going to circle and force Arterton to chase again."

Cassie: "Jill's no dummy. Going to stick and move now."

O'Dell: "Gemma again in hot pursuit, cutting the ring down and getting back to work, Wagner ducking and dipping, slipping and sliding, very hard to find. Gemma trying to turn up the heat, but Jill's putting this on cruise control, dancing and circling, keeping the exchanges short, running off the last few seconds, and there's the bell!"

Tess: "What a round!"

Cassie: "What a fight! And my girl Jilly Wags may have just won it with that uppercut!"

McCarthy: "I've got it 95-94, a one point duke for Wagner. But, again, couple of close rounds in there. We'll have to wait."

O'Dell: "Decision being announced. It's unanimous...and all three judges scoring it a one point decision for your winner...JILL WAGNER!"

Cassie: "That's my GIRL right THERE!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Jill Wagner. And, Jill, that was SOME kind of fight..."

Jill(smiling): "You know, I hadn't noticed. I was too busy trying not to get my head knocked off in there, because, if you're wondering, Gemma hits like a truck..."

Tess: "But, YOU came out on top..."

Jill(smiling): "I knew I would. Look, she's legitimate, a contender, no doubt. But here's the thing, so am I. I may not be the biggest, strongest light, but I bring a skill set that most lights don't HAVE and can't HANDLE. She gave me all I wanted, and I expected that, but I knew I'd come out on top in the end, because I AM that good!"
