Before:  Angelica parlaying her success against Charisma Carpenter into a transatlantic showdown with Britain’s best technician. Hurley a decent favourite at the London sports books, but Bridges even money in Vegas as wise guys liked the power she showed against Carpenter--Hurley not the same once she’s hurt. Liz in black bikini, Bridges in green crochet bikini.

During R1: Liz out in the orthodox stance, confounding the miles of tape Angelica had watched in training and it shows. Hurley smoothly shooting the left jab, leaving it extended to Angelica’s ear and neatly deflecting Bridges’ big right hand on the raised left shoulder. Hurley countering Bridges’ ineffective overhand right with short right clouts on the chin., putting wobble in the redhead’s trunks with a series of hard hitting block and counters in the first minute. Angelica forced to back off, bleeding from her lower lip, and fencing with Liz at long range as the Brit succeeds in making a chess match early.

R2: Liz fighting righty—Bridges doesn’t look comfortable. Hurley luring Angelica in, turning side to side, tucking her left shoulder and fluidly slipping or blocking Bridges’ right hands. Countering sharply every time Angelica throws the cross., Hurley has Angie confused early, and midway through the Brit changes up, leading now, coming forward and backing Bridges up with slinging right hands to the left side of the ribcage and the left jawline. Bridges stung again  by Hurley’s opportunistic power, often freezing up and watching as Hurley lands the second and third follow up for free.

R3: Bridges just freezing up, shooting the right she knows will be blocked, and Liz countering like clockwork whenever Angie comes forward. When Bridges backs off, Liz paws and pesters with the jab, jumping in with short right hands that add up on Angie’s breasts, stomach and mouth. Shutout for Hurley as she works at just landing rather than hurting—breaking Angie down mentally as well as physically.

R4: Another shutout for Hurley, punctuated with Smooth upper body movement that makes Angie miss 3 and 4 punches at a time. Hurley seems to take Bridges by surprise when she punches—often snapping back the redhead’s face with shots that don’t look harmful, but it’s adding up. Bridges is discouraged—her punch output has plummeted, and she’s just letting Hurley work in comfort. Bell sounds and the usually coy Liz stands and mocks the busted up American as Bridges stomps back to her corner.

R5: Angie finally comes out like she’s had enough. Moving her hands, pressuring Liz—Bridges may miss the first couple of punches but the hook is grazing Liz’s eyebrow and Hurley is forced to fight. Good two-way action as Hurley dips and ducks into potshots, trying to land in between Angelica’s combinations, whole Bridges works off the lead right to double up on hooks to Hurley’s breasts and face.

R6: Another good action round, with Liz still standing flat footed in front of her foe, making the American commit to punches and trying to catch red reaching off the slick upper body movement. Angie catching more as Liz adjusts to the tempo, and the meanspirited Brit shoeshines the redhead’s breasts with brisk side to side punching as Bridges looks to clinch. By the bell, Hurley’s the boss, scrubbing at Angelica’s tits with impunity and finishing the combinations with head turning lefts and rights on the redhead’s open mouth.

R7: Hurley has her girl worn down and goes up tempo, slashing in that jab, then turning into whip action right hands that have Bridges reaching to clinch. Hurley busts to the gut as Angie clinches high, moving out the redhead’s hips and folding Bridges up helplessly for lefts and rights wide to the ribcage. Angie getting beaten now, unable to answer and the round ends with a fearful drubbing along the ropes as Liz pokes lefts into Angie’s belly, then catches her with the chopping right hand on face to drape Bridges limply back.

R8: Angelica Bridges is beaten down, gloves loose at lips, legs rubbery, and she squares up sleepily to accept Hurley’s onslaught. Liz greets the redhead with a crowd pleasing wide triple left hook, drilling Bridges the length of the ring to hit the ropes hard and a numbing beating is initiated. Hurley bending up and down, dragging her punches into Bridges’ body, leaning in with a shoulder then pulling out with a calling card right on Angie’s chin. Bridges clinching for breaks, Hurley impatient, walks back in as soon as the ref can push her back—Bridges sliding along the ropes to the turnbuckle is ready to go. Finish is brutal as Liz moves in, putting Angie helpless with a perfect whipping hook on the chin, then it’s lefts and rights, slashing back and forth to set Angie’s head dancing until the ref steps in. KO8 Liz Hurley.

After::Liz hands out one of the most complete gangster slaps of career, fighting righty all night long and rendering Bridges almost completely infective from the opening bell. Angelica battered senseless collapses on her stool and can only watch as Hurley removes her gloves and waves to an appreciative  audience without so much as a second thought spent on her vanquished opponent.
