Former bantamweight champion Una Healy lost all her four fights since coming back from pregnancy pause and keeps drifting towards BBU obscurity. "I need a good win and I don't care against whom", she explains to Denise van Outen probably justifying her bout with Liz McClarnon who apart from striking physical presence has done very little in the ring and remains one of perennial punchbags of the division. But the blonde Atomic Kitten singer thinks Una is very much hittable and her past championship glory is worthless these days. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Una storms out of her stool and wants to stamp her authority as quickly as possible, aims at the head but Liz ducks underneath and slams a jabbing series on the tummy, bounces off the chest and wobbles the redhead back, strikes over the top and nails Healy on the left eye, causes the former champ to yelp in pain and suddenly pours in on the mouth, snaps Una's head back couple of times before slamming a right hook on the temple... AND DOWN GOES HEALY... nobody saw this coming and even Denise van Outen jumps from her chair as she watches Una frantically blinking in sheer disbelief but up at seven. Liz bares her teeth, leaps after the redhead and clobbers her on the ribcage as Healy protects the head but gets bashed to the body instead and pushed back to the ropes... McClarnon romps away at the midriff, traps the redhead butt-in-ropes and hammers her ribs from both flanks, sinks her on the knees and it's a really shocking development in Brighton with Una avoiding another knockdown but soaking up punishment for remainder of the round as Liz drills the mitts into her stomach and finds a late uppercut on the jaw that snaps Una against the ropes and half-turns her on the turnbuckles with McClarnon having to be dragged away to neutral corner.

Round 2:
Liz in furious mode, squares up to her rival and jabs at the body but Una responds with single striking from behind the guard and manages to connect with the blonde's cheeks. More speed and agility from the redhead as she avoids the body assault but crashes off the guard herself, leans on the blonde and seeks ribcage destruction; eats an overhand right on the eye though and staggers back as McClarnon shows no fear and pours in on the chest, shatters Una's mitts and tags her chin; has the former champ seeking clinch. Ref steps in, shoves Una away but she jumps after the blonde moments later... stops another right hook with her eye and moans in pain as Liz beats her for pace and follows up with a drilling series on the tummy, bends Healy forward and strikes over the top, rocks the redhead back & forth as Healy's hair flies everywhere.. another right hook on the eye has Una screaming and only fuels McClarnon's mean intentions as she jabs low around the right elbow... Una loses balance, falls forward and tries to wrap her arms around the blonde's waist but Liz dekes to the side, sends more jabs on the head, catches Healy on the ear SENDING HER DOWN ON THE CANVAS... Una's on all fours shaking her head as Liz leaps around her and urges to get up; dwells on her never seen before performance. Brave ex-champ indeed gets up at six only to eat more leather on the cheeks after the command as McClarnon pours in with venom, backs Una against the ropes but runs out of time to finish her off; yet earns a standing ovation from Denise van Outen in the BBU TV booth and most of the audience.

Round 3:
Healy struggles to embrace the opening two rounds as McClarnon gives her more trouble in the third, jabs at the tummy and blocks off body attacks, spikes Una around the liver area and outoworks in close range, tags the chin and throws a flurry of punches on the head as Healy's guard cracks and enables the blonde to nail her on the left eye again that begins to swell now and forces Una to raise her left arm even higher. But she drops her right too low and Liz swiftly slams leather from the other side and snaps the head back, pushes Healy towards the ropes and drills more shots on the stomach, causes the arms to drop and targets the left eye, catches it clean and has the ex-champ moaning loudly... more punches over the top meet no resistance in the final minute as Una seems to be going away mentally and just accepts the blonde bashing her face into a pulp; she avoids another knockdown but even though Liz drops her aggression a bit in the dying seconds, she still rocks Healy's head back & forth, damages the eye and leaves the redhead sagging on the ropes and unable to see much through her left eye. Medics arrive in her corner during the interval and it's not a good sight as Liz has lumped her up badly after just nine minutes of action.

Round 4:
Huge upset on the cards as Una shows no intentions of turning this one around, protects her wounded left eye and allows Liz to spike her on the other one, half-turns in avoidance and just throws single leather, loses her footing though after repeated circles finally fails to prevent from McClarnon connecting with her face and Liz cross-hooks the mitts, works on the right eye now and slams solid hooks on the temple, makes Una's arms drop and whacks her on the nose; sends straight jabs on the chin and pushes her towards the ropes. Healy seeks clinch, gets slammed around the elbows and drops her guard again, eats couple of uppercuts on the jaw and sags on the ropes... right hook on the eye cuts her up for good as blood flows down the redhead's cheek and she truly looks like she's had enough of Liz punching her brains out... ref refuses to relieve her from misery... allows the blonde to pound away at her chest and the arms go numb for Healy, left hook on the chin wobbles her to the side, right hook on the eye finally does the job as THE REDHEAD CRASHES DOWN ON HER SIDE and remains motionless at the count, bursts into tears as Liz plants her foot on her hip and rolls on the backside, pins her to the canvas moving her foot on the chest; poor Una tries to lift her head but as the cameras flash to catch the blonde's victorious pose, she finally realizes the nature of her defeat and drifts away to the orbit... KO4 Liz McClarnon!!!

Post-fight:
One of the biggest upsets in recent BBU history has occured in Brighton tonight and there's little surprise Liz doesn't leave the ring for a long time, bows to each side of the arena and blows numerous kisses to the crowd and the reporters have a field day too with repeated flashes catching the blonde's bright smile. She was the perennial punchbag of the bantamweight division but enjoys the best day of her BBU career and perhaps she's not all lost to exciting & successful action after all?

Meanwhile it's a horrible day for the former champ Una Healy who never recovered from that early knockdown and simply allowed Liz to punch her into a sobbing mess. Those four losses since her pregnancy pause were put down to ring rust but after tonight's performance there's a feeling that Una may need to start her career from scratch. Losing to Liz McClarnon looks bad enough regardless of the circumstances but one or two pundits in Brighton believe that Healy can't go any worse than this and will improve in the upcoming weeks. Since the BBU awaits Una's return to form for the best part of last 18 months, the verdict is still out on the Irish redhead and one can only wonder who will be her next rival. This being said, several lower ranked fighters might fancy their chances against Una in wake of her terrible results lately.
