Here comes the Main Event of the Cardiff Summer Challenge and it's another showpiece featuring Charlotte Church lately as the Welsh singer reaches the final hurdle before a potential title clash with Lisa Maffia. But to get there she needs to take care of the champion's stablemate, Alesha Dixon, and take care of her in convincing fashion. Charlotte's done so with Gemma Bissix and Katherine Jenkins earlier this summer but Dixon is a major upgrade over these two blondes and even Denise van Outen refuses to call this one into her favor again.

The Cardiff crowd has other ideas though and supports the local girl in numbers, a loud set of jeers for Alesha as she emerges from the locker room and her outfit indicates she hasn't come here to fool around, a shining silver basque top, red knickers and red gloves make for a jaw-dropping attire. Long, dark hair with blonde stripes in loose curles; Beyonce style... The girl rocks!

And here comes Church from the opposite side, red bikini top, white knickers and red gloves is the fighting set as she sports the Welsh dragon above her right breast and a Welsh flag painted on her left cheek too... the crowd goes wild but Alesha just laughs it off and begins to shadow box in front of her... referee reminds everyone of the rules... and we're not touching gloves.... Ten rounds of bantamweight action of the highest order is about to get underway...

Round 1:
The Cardiff Arena roars as Charlotte rips into Alesha's guts and drills her with a furious jabbing series, thumps the ribs with a loud noise and uppercuts the rack in close range, tries to follow up overt the top but Dixon avoids more trouble with a big hook on the jaw as both girls go at each other straight from the bell; Alesha with a reach advantage, swings around her opponent's head but fails to match Church's speed and cuts the air; gets piked on the tummy again and covers up, works the single hand from behind the guard but catches the gloves intead of flesh; keeps eating low jabs and is forced to turn to the side, big left hook catches her on the nose as Charlotte rains punches in ferocious style and breaks the mitts apart down the stretch, bounces off the jaw again and snaps Aleha's head back... more wild roars from the crowd a Church tags Dixon on the eye and reels her back, Alesha can't stretch her arms in time and succumbs to high-tempo assault with Charlotte hassling her around the ropes, finding success around the elbows and drilling more shots to the liver area. Dixon overwhelmed at the bell but avoiding really big shots from the Welsh singer.

Round 2:
Dixon tries to catch Church early, targets the temple and opens up from both hand, swings high as Church drives low and ravages the rack on the counter, catches the ex-champion off guard and pours onto the silver basque top, rocks the boobs side to side and causes Dixon to gasp for air... swift right hook on the jaw follows and Alesha wobbles on the spot, drops her arms again and on comes Churchy... pummels to the face with both hands, snaps the head back repeatedly and shrugs off a lame clinching effort, switches low and keeps drilling leather into Dixon's midriff; loud thumps off the ab muscles take their toll as Alesha tries to jump back, gets tagged on the mouth as Charlotte strikes over the top and buries her foe under a barrage of leather. Dixon's hair begins to fly around her neck as she eats more punches and leans back on the ropes, weaves around on her feet and keeps firing away from behind the guard, but fails to connect with the blonde's face, skims off the forearms and bends forward when another jabbing combo catches her around the elbows and leaves gasping for air at the bell.

Round 3:
Alesha still tries to stamp her authority on the bout as she leaps after the Welsh rival, clips her jaw with an overstretched attempt and loses balance, falls forward straight into the path of a vicious right hook that slams her on the eye and tears the skin on the brow ridge.... Church feeds her with leather, outworks in close range and spikes the eye as a small drizzle of blood soon becomes evident.. and Charlotte keeps whacking that spot; Alesha suddenly feels it as well, overprotective on the left side... drops her guard on the right and gets whacked on the chin with another precise hook... Church pours in on the face, uppercuts the mitts as Alesha gets pummelled to the ropes and seeks a clinch, has her head snapped instead as Charlotte slices her guard and clobbers the jaw... more loud thumps and now Dixon's feeling the heat... closes her eyes and begins to moan as Church shoves her against the turnbuckle and keeps pumping leather against the guard... Alesha all covered up, soaks up the onslaught but breaks down in the dying seconds as the Welsh blonde pierces the defense and lands more clean shots on the chin; Dixon on soft knees after the bell and the cutmen attend the wounded eye which was fortunate enough to escape more damage in the final minute.

Round 4:
Charlotte's hell bent of laying more leather into the ex-champ and closes her down in the middle of the ring; Dixon fires away tall and looks to break the momentum but can't match the agility of Church who dekes around her efforts before responding around the wounded eye... right jabs force Dixon to turn to the side but she gets whacked around the elbows instead and drops the guard.. right hook on the brow ridge opens the wound again and Alesha stumbles forward, moans in pain as Church rips into her chest and pummels the rack with more uppercuts.. Dixon loses her footing, can't find a grip around the waist and gets tagged with a right hand on the mouth... Ugh!!! DOWN GOES DIXON ON HER KNEES as the crowd errupts in joy... Church shakes her fist as Alesha tries to find her way out of trouble, wipes the blood off her eye and gets up on one knee at five, shoots back upright at seven and gets the green light... On comes Church... bashes the struggling rival to the ropes with more high jabs before switching low as Alesha just caves in and allows the blonde to work her midriff over... more loud thumps bounce off the ribs, mixed with a groaning concert from the ex-champ.... Church seeks more damage, strikes over the top but fails to further hurt the eye, spikes Alesha on the temple though and spins her on the turnbuckle but the clock expires and prevents the older singer from more trouble.

Round 5:
Grim looks in the Beevers' corner as more work is required on the eye injury and that only fuels Charlotte's will to finish Alesha off on the spot as she pours on the face again seconds into the fifth, snaps the head back and slices the mitts with ease, whacks another right hand on the eye, left on the tummy and staggers Dixon in the middle of the ring, fakes more low jabs, switches upstairs and clips the jaw... Alesha moans again, endures more head-snapping over the top and stumbles backwards as Church leaps after her and tackles the rack, bashes to the body and has her rival butt-in-ropes on the minute mark and just lays into her ribs... Dixon's moaning is hard to bare anymore as she covers up her face but falls victim to a brutal body attack and just sinks further down on her knees... until the point she just collapses alltogether and is left on all fours as Church stands over her and makes offensive gestures.... Ref is quick to start the count and Alesha looks done but shoots up at seven, wobbles back and she's really had enough for tonight according to Denise van Outen but the man in charge refuses to relieve her from more misery... Charlotte pours in on the face as Alesha just stands there and accepts the punishment... can't raise her arms at all anymore and gets her head bashed around as the blood starts seeping from the brow ridge again... Church with a brutal exeuction of a hated rival... sends more leather, tries to rearrange Dixon's face beyond recognition and Denise Lewis grabs the towel... but not quick enough as a right hook on the eye removes the last once of consciousness from her fighter; Alesha half-turns against the turnbuckle and slides down on the canvas... KO5 Charlotte Church in "lights out" fashion!!!

AFTER: Dixon left in all sorts of bother in the corner, unresponsive to the medical crew as Charlotte climbs the ropes and ignores the woman she has totally destroyed just moments before! Epic night for Welsh boxing fans in Cardiff who start to chant: "We want Lisa! We want Lisa! We want Lisa!"... Denise van Outen agrees in the BBU TV booth: "That was just about as vicious as Lisa Maffia wanted it from Churchy!"

Indeed, the marvellous time for the Welsh singer just doesn't seem to stop lately even against one of the most fearless fighters in the entire BBU. But can Charlotte go all the way and strip Lisa Maffia of her title belts? And where's the champion herself? Not in Cardiff tonight and most likely working her ass off in the gym already!

A quick respite for Charlotte as she leaves the ring to a standing ovation and heads for the drinks, one or two better looking guys have already left courtesy of Samia Ghadie but there's one or two remaining to keep her company. Even the journalists are aware that Charlotte deserves some free time after this one; she'll be on the covers tomorrow anyway and the sight of Alesha Dixon beaten out of her senses will probably linger in the Beevers' minds for quite some time as well. Lisa Maffia is forced to do the dirty work herself as stablemates Bissix and Dixon just couldn't stop the Welsh steamroller; as a result the bantamweight title clash is officially on stand-by!
