ROUND OF 16:

LYNDA CARTER VS SUSAN ANTON:
Stop and go, safety first fight, girls falling in to clinch after pitching right hands—sloppy stuff. Fight devolves to Anton laying on the ropes, pushing away or clinching up as Carter struggles to cram in punches—Anton not showing much heart as Lynda outworks in the trenches.

VICTORIA PRINCIPAL VS MORGAN FAIRCHILD:
Victoria expected to be too physical for Fairchild in boxing—instead of a vicious, foul filled slugfest that sees both women cut, dropped and damaged as they brawl almost to a standstill. Narrow duke awarded Principal, tears the heart of a disappointed Morgan.

MARKIE POST VS MARY HART:
Markie patient, placing right hands in Mary’s chin each and every round, stops Hart in the 4th.

WENDIE MALICK VS CHRISTINE BARANSKI:
Malick outboxes Baranski midring—girls on stiff legs, prodding each other with jabs and poking straight right hands. Malick just more consistent.

THERESA RUSSELL VS ANNETTE O’TOOLE:
Russell bangs out a thudding beat down along the ropes, bludgeoning soft bodied O’Toole corner to corner in close-up, sweaty action.

DEBBIE ALLEN VS SANDAHL BERGMAN:
Sandahl playing it safe, wins it with her Jab, Allen unhurt, but unable to force the action as blonde picks her apart outside.

CYBILL SHEPHERD VS PAM GRIER:
Outgunned Cybill suffers as Pam bangs away to a lopsided decision. Sheps down in the first and 8th courtesy blockbuster Grier overhand rights—Pam fighting out of the Archie Moore crossed arm stance really getting max leverage to head and gut.,

ANJELICA HUSTON VS SIGOURNEY WEAVER:
Bit of an upset as ancient Huston outworks Weaver in convincing fashion. Sigourney shoved up and pInned against the ropes much of the fight. Huston fighting off the big woman’s chest, pressures Siggy into defeated.
