TESS VALMORE

RUAH/ BRITTON The best part of this first bout was Cassie being introduced as a new permanent member of the broadcast team. After the fight began, it was all Ruah. Dani took every minute of the fight as long as it lasted. She floored Britton three times in the first and again in the fourth, fifth and sixth rounds. After the sixth round knockdown. Britton was in no shape to continue and the bout was stopped

GRETZKY/ DECKER Gretzky got off to a good start taking the first two rounds, although I thought Decker was just laying back seeing what Gretzky was bringing. Decker took control of the fight in the third and won the rest of the rounds. Decker floored Gretzky in the fifth and finished her off with a big right hand in the eighth to get a KO8

STAITE/ CAMPBELL It seems in every PPV there is a big upset. In this PPV this was it. I really wasn’t familiar with Staite. I am now. It was an entertaining bout with Neve having a slight lead at the end of five. In the sixth, Staite dropped Campbell to her knees for a 10-8 round. Staite took the next two rounds with Neve taking the ninth. In the tenth, Neve came on strong having Staite ready to go, but Staite was saved by the bell. Staite got a one point decision. That sixth round knockdown being a deciding factor

WINSLET/ ARTERTON Winslet came into this bout 0-8. She left the ring 0-9. Surprisingly, Winslet managed to go the distance, but won only two rounds, the third and the eighth. Arterton dominated the rest of the action, including a sixth round knockdown. Arterton got the wide decision

SCHERZINGER/ WILDE I thought that this would be the fight of the night and it lived up to it’s promise. The first three rounds were close and competitive. Late in the third Wilde came out the better in an exchange of rights that hurt Nicole. Scherzinger didn’t get her legs back until the fifth when disaster struck. Wilde dropped her with a keyhole right. Scherzinger managed to get to her feet, but was unable to defend against a Wilde blitz and the fight was stopped, Wilde TKO5

WILKINSON/ DENNINGS. A beach brawl in Philadelphia. Having Sarah Shahi in the broadcast booth with Cassie was a hoot. Contestants were in body paint including Miss Jenny McCarthy, who was the special referee. Through the first five Wilkinson would win only the third in which she hurt Dennings with a leaping hook. Kendra came back to take rounds six and seven. In the eighth Dennings went on a aggressive tear forcing Wilkinson out of the regulation space and against the judges table, where she handed a
Wilkinson a good beating. The Odds and Ends corner was outraged that McCarthy let the fight go beyond the prescribed area, but the round stood.. After that Kendra needed a knockout to win and didn’t get it. Dennings got the decision.
