BBU FIGHTNIGHT FROM LONDON
(FRONT STREET JAPAN VS PAGE THREES)
Posted by Knowlesey on September 6, 2013, 1:34 pm
Leah remains undefeated in her BBU career, but Sara, despite a chequered career records, should be a tough opponent for her, the blonde Irish model good enough to have beaten Louisa Glover, and to have effectively ended the career of Az Royal. However, Leah has knocked out all of her opponents so far, each one needing hospital treatment after their defeat.
Leah enters the ring first, the Japanese girl superb in her scarlet bikini, gloves and boots, with Sara sporting a pale green bikini with matching gloves and boots.
Round 1
Leah starts the fight typically quickly, her jabs easily penetrating Sara’s guard, and the blonde’s already feeling the ropes on her back, and leather on her face, as Leah starts on her, the younger girl really setting about her now, looking like she wants an early finish to this fight. Sara clinches to get out of trouble, but the respite is brief, and she takes a hard left hook to her jaw, which staggers her, the blonde covering up, but still taking some big shots, clinching again, and as she peeps over Leah’s shoulder, it’s clear that she’s been cut – there’s a smear of blood on the bridge of her nose, and that could cause her problems. The girls are parted, but there’s no respite for Sara, as Leah fires her gloves at her face, still looking like she wants to end the fight inside a round, but Sara’s a tough cookie, and she takes the beating that Leah hands her in the closing seconds.
Round 2
With Sara pink-faced and already bleeding from a split nose, Leah is expected to finish this fight off now, but she’s easing off as the girls come back out, letting Sara into the fight, and this is good, bullying work by the Irish girl, pushing and shoving Leah around, cuffing her when she can, but mostly working on her body, working her into the ropes. Leah snaps back with her hard jabs, but Sara ignores the blood on her face to crash away at the Japanese girl’s ribs, and Leah looks shocked – she expected Sara to crumble after that first round, not fight back, and she nods her head as the bell ends the round.
Round 3
Sara’s on top again when they resume, again pushing Leah back to the ropes to work on her body, getting in nice and tight to her, not giving her room to swing those hurtful hooks to her face. The referee’s having to pull the girls apart regularly, but Sara gets back inside each time, head down, throwing lots of bodypunches, but still eating some leather on the way in, her split nose still bleeding badly, beginning to affect her vision. Again the referee parts the girls, insists on Sara’s face being wiped, and they start again, but this time Leah fires in hard, quick punches, and she’s hurting Sara again, has her staggering sideways and backwards, and now she’s taking her on again, Sara laying back on the ropes as Leah shows her exactly why she’s rated so highly, Sara’s face a red mask at the bell.
Round 4
Sara’s having trouble seeing properly now, and Leah doesn’t help her as she hammers a left hand punch over the top and onto her eyebrow, then, as Sara reacts to that, she rips into her unprotected body, the blonde bends, gets clubbed twice to the ear, and hits the floor hard. Sara clambers to her feet at 7, but she’s on autopilot now as Leah cuffs and thumps her into the ropes, but she doesn’t control the Irish girl as she should, again lets her hold on and fire in punches to the body. There’s not much in those punches now, though, and Leah grins as she shoves Sara away, popping another brace of savage hooks into her face, ripping open a cut on her left cheek before planting her back on the canvas, the girl really groggy now, and slow to push herself up again at 8. Leah’s trying to finish Sara off, but can’t quite find the gaps in her defence in the closing seconds, with the Irish girl just covering her face with her gloves.
Round 5
Sara’s left eye is just about closed, and Leah seems reluctant to hit her any more – but Sara cuffs her to the mouth a couple of times, irritating the Japanese girl, who seems to lose patience, lands left cross, right hook, left hook, right uppercut, and that’s goodnight from Sara Kavanagh.
Result: Leah Dizon knocked Sara Kavanagh out in round 5
Was Sara a real opponent for Leah tonight? Possibly not, but at least she agreed to fight her. Leah won’t find her next opponent quite so easy though – Tulisa Contostovlos has agreed to a showdown fight, with the winner maybe taking on the winner of Lisa Maffia v Charlotte Church, although Emma Glover may have an opinion on that. |
