Georgie Thompson is at ringside for this fight, as Katherine Jenkins starts her crusade to beat up the Sugababes.

Hi! Welcome to Birmingham, where, as Charlie Webster says, the lovely blonde soprano Katherine is to fight the first of the Sugababes to answer her uncharacteristically outspoken challenge, Keisha Buchanan.

Both of these girls started out in BBU as bantamweights, but they've tired of being picked off by girls several inches taller, and have slimmed down to make flyweight. I'm looking forward to this fight, and I know the girls are too, although Keisha has declined an interview, believing that I favour Katherine (which I do!)

First into the ring is Keisha, and she looks good in a tarty sort of way, in a black leather bodice, black leather panties, black boots and white gloves. Now here's Katherine, and she's wearing a scarlet bikini tonight, with white boots and gloves - stunning!

Round 1

So away we go - and the girls come together quickly, with Katherine moving well, quick on her feet, snapping that jab of hers into Keisha's face. Keisha's more static, more of a slugger than a boxer, and I like the way Katherine's going about this - she's kind of outclassing Keisha with her skills and effort. Keisha's trying to push Katherine, but the blonde's not having it , she just slipped a good right jab through Keisha's defences, and now a left - good work Katherine! Keisha's trying again to push Katherine, but she's just eating punches at the moment, and she's going to have a sore face tonight if she doesn't get her defence in place , that's Kath's round, and she's grinning broadly as she goes to her corner, Keisha looking angry.

Round 2

Keisha's looking busier this time, and she's right in close to Katherine, giving Jenkins' ribs some attention in there, but the blonde's OK, not looking stressed, holding and clinching now, waiting for the referee. Now Katherine's getting back into pole position, snaking a good jab into Keisha's mouth , but Keisha's getting in tight again, and she's hitting Katherine to the ribs now , but she left herself open then! Her jaw was just asking to be hit , Kath obliged, and now Keisha's sat on her bum getting counted over! Up gets Keisha at 6 - and she's pretty unhappy, I can tell you! Keisha's swarming over Katherine, but her punches aren't finding the target, and Kath's just finding it easy to land her punches right on the button of Keisha's mouth and nose, and she's controlling this fight beautifully, smacking the Sugababe about.

Round 3

Yeah, Katherine's still in charge of this fight, so much more active and skilful than Keisha, she's whipping punches around the girl's guard so easily, Keisha's face such an easy to hit target for her. But although she's getting hit, Keisha isn't hurt, she's walking through Katherine's assault there, and she landed a decent punch to the blonde's ribs and again! Katherine took the punches well, though, and she landed that right hook on Keisha's mouth again there, keeps her at arm's length, and she lands a swift right, left right series of punches to Keisha's face, still looking the better fighter, gets off a good jab there, and eats a big left hook from Keisha! That was a stunning shot! Katherine's looking real shaky after that, and she's clinching - or trying to - Keisha's smacking her in the tummy with a few shots, Katherine's pleased to hear that bell, I reckon.

Round 4

Katherine's still looking good - she always is - but Keisha's got a spring in her step, and that's what you get when you find out you can hurt your opponent! And she hurt her again there - she's taking the smile off Katherine's face with that left hook, and she smashed that one on the blonde's jaw - now she's barrelling forwards, pushing Katherine back, and she's sorting Katherine out to the body - those gloves are really slapping on Jenkins' tummy and ribs, and she's not looking so clever now she's defending. I don't like the way this is going now, as I look up and see Katherine getting hit and hurt on the ropes, the blonde songbird writhing and gasping as the brunette lathers her body with booming punches, and maybe this isn't going to be as easy as it was looking a few minutes ago?

Round 5

Keisha's in Katherine's face now, and she's taunting her, call her a "wimp", and that's a good punch from Keisha' her left hand is quite a weapon tonight, and she's smashing it in straighter now, not just hooking Katherine's face, but drilling the punches at it, and she's got the blonde girl bleeding around the nose. Now I can see that Katherine's defending her face more, but Keisha's adjusting, and she's taking the chance to belt Kath's body again, just like she did just now - and Kath's not enjoying this at all, again twisting and writhing as the punches rain in on her torso, Keisha really bullying the blonde girl on the ropes now - you need to clinch Katherine! There's that left hook to the jaw again, Katherine's down! That wasn't quote as clean as the earlier one, but the blonde's getting tired, and she couldn't withstand it, she's up, though, up as the ref gets to 7 in his count - but I reckon she's lucky the round's just ended, because Keisha may just have finished the job off there!

Round 6

Katherine's struggling a little now - she's much slower than she was, a bit flat-footed really. Keisha's the one bouncing around, and she's smacking Kath about again - now they're in close on each other again, and Keisha's working on Katherine's body - I've never seen her so pumped up in the boxing ring! Katherine's sagging now - she was hurt there by a left to the ribs - and that's another to her jaw - good right follow up, and Katherine's down again, she slid down the ropes, and now she's getting up again, beats the count OK at 7, but she's looking unsteady still - Keisha's really done a number on those ribs, and she's thumping her again in close, and Katherine's face is creased in pain now - and that's another ripping hook to her mouth! Jenkins is up against it now, backed into the ropes again, still Keisha's at her body! That's the bell, and now I think Kath's fallen behind points-wise!

Round 7

Keisha's back at Katherine again! Aww - this is sad to watch! Katherine's just getting a beating from a girl who's proving herself a harder puncher. Katherine's backed into the ropes again - that's another crushing punch to her ribs, and she's losing the will to carry on, I think, taking so much from the scowling Keisha, who whipped a right hand across Kath's face there - now a left, and another! Katherine's knees are buckling - and she's been cut! That last left hook has opened up a cut on the blonde girl's cheek, and I can see the blood pulsing down her face from that. The ref's having a look - and he's waving the action on. It's all one way, though, as Keisha smashes Katherine sideways with a right hook to the body, and that's another hard left on that cheek; Katherine's sobbing now as she drifts past my seat to her stool.

Round 8

Katherine's cornermen have done a good job on her cut cheek; but Keisha's undone that with one punch! She spanked a left hook right on the cheek, and there's a good dig to the body - and another! Katherine's down! The blonde's on her knees, and she's looking like breathing's too painful for her now, but she's getting up! Fair play, Katherine - on her feet again at 8! But Keisha's showing the songbird no respect at all for her bravery, she's giving her another beating now, right up above my seat, lot's of blood spraying off Katherine's face as she takes these punches - and the ref's stepped in at last! It's all over!

Keisha Buchanan beat Katherine Jenkins by stoppage in round 8.

That was brutal in the end! And it's not over yet! Keisha's in Katherine's corner, and she's yanking her back to her feet to take her on a walk of shame, I guess we all knew this might happen, and now what? Ah - a spanking! Yes, Keisha's stretched Katherine across her knee, and she's giving her what Katherine threatened, a good, sound ass-spanking.

Once Katherine has bellowed out her apology, "I'm sorry Keisha - I will respect you from now on!" the Sugababe rolls the blonde off and onto the canvas, before brutally stamping on her unprotected belly and swanning off, the lovely Welsh soprano curled up and sobbing in the ring.
