BBU FIGHT NIGHT IN CARDIFF

The gorgeous German singer Mandy makes her ring debut tonight against Alexandra Burke, the former X Factor winner who has tried without success to forge a decent career in the BBU, but she never gives up, and will test Mandy tonight if the German fails to live up to expectations.

Alex is first into the ring, and she’s wearing a pale green bikini top with matching hotpants, gloves and boots. But she’s outshone tonight by Mandy, who has chosen a scarlet bikini for her first fight which leaves little to the imagination, with white gloves and boots.

Round 1

The girls are sparring in the centre of the ring, but they soon tire of this ‘phoney war’ and they trade harder punches, Mandy flicking a good left jab into Alex’s face taking a few similar punches in return, and it’s Alex who has to take the first pace backwards as Mandy clips her across the lips with a right hook, a punch was is hard enough to have Alex clinching tightly already. The referee parts the two singers, and Alex quickly gives Mandy a quick combination of three lefts and a right to her face, and Mandy covers up, then snaps the Brit’s head back with a solid left jab to the face, Alex responding by hitting Mandy to the body, and the younger girl gives a little wince when she feels Alex’s right glove find her flesh, and she’s the girl holding at the end of a round she probably just about shaded.

Round 2

Mandy’s looking comfortable in a competitive ring already, and she’s taking the fight to Alex, showing the Beevers Babe some fancy footwork now as she skips around her, and she’s finding Alex’s face with her jab as well, making her look poor by comparison. But Alex takes her punishment, looks for a window – and finds it! Alex hits Mandy to the body again, eats a pair of jabs as she closes in on her, but takes the shots to land to Mandy’s body, knowing she needs to slow her down, and she pushes the younger girl back, highlights her inexperience as she smacks her punches into that lovely body of hers, and she’s certainly finding the target, as Mandy’s getting backed up to the ropes, taking more blows to her ribs and to her soft flanks, still trying to punch her way out of trouble, but she can’t get leverage on her punches at close quarters, the debutante taking her medicine at this stage, and she’s going to get a dressing down now between rounds.

Round 3

Mandy’s had her lecture from an angry Gina Wild, and she’s very aggressive now, popping jabs at Alex, who covers up, and clinches as soon as she can, tying the blonde girl up with her strong arms. Mandy is trying to free her arms, but Alex clings on, frustrating Mandy, who complains to the referee as he breaks the girls which earns her a thudding right hand to her mouth from Alex, who takes advantage of this concentration lapse, the Brit now hitting her to the body again. But this is a step too far for Mandy, who now zips punches into Alex’s face, really giving her the left hand, pushing away the older girl’s attempts to hold this time, and she’s got that right hand to come – she whacks Alex hard with a right hook, wobbling the girl all the way down through her legs, and she’s following up with the left, hurting Alex with that one, the older girl having to hold her gloves high to protect herself, and that’s how the round ends, with Mandy’s corner looking happier with their girl now.

Round 4

Alex isn’t standing still in this round – she’s bobbing and weaving, throwing some punches of her own now when Mandy attacks her for the first time and she stands and trades toe to toe with the kid – and regrets it! Mandy’s drilling her jab past Alex’s gloves, smacking her head backwards – and she follows up with that right hook again! Alex is sagging against the ropes after that, with Mandy coming in after her – she’s covering her head well, but this young German looks a real prospect at the moment, probing Alex with that left jab, finding her way to the girl’s swelling face, and she’s got her all of a shake at this stage, rifles a left into her body for variation, and opens her up for the right hook again, Alex’s face really starting to lump up around her eyes – if Mandy goes for her body again she might be able to finish this, but Alex will defend her head all day long if she can predict where the punches are coming from – that’s a good round from Mandy, but not enough for her supporters maybe.

Round 5

Mandy’s still headhunting, despite Gina Wild screaming at her to lower her attack. She nails Alex with a left, then a right, but the older girl covers up again, not doing any more than surviving, and at last Mandy obeys her boss’s orders and punches Alex in the ribs and flanks, hurts her to the belly as well, her knees buckling, her defence shot away. Mandy spots her chance – and takes it, banging her gloves into Alex’s face hard and fast, the right hook seeming to be the one that floors her at last, Alex laying on her back for a while, before getting to her feet at 8, Mandy waiting for her – but going for the big knockout again! It’s almost like she’s forgotten how she got to put Alex down, and she’s letting the girl off the hook by head-hunting, and Gina Wild’s really letting her have it from the sidelines, “Hit her ribs, for God’s sake!” she shouts, but Mandy grins, and unloads again to Alex Burke’s face, the poor English girl sporting an awful cut on her left cheek, which pulses with blood as she staggers back to her stool.

Round 6

Gina Wild has really given Mandy a lecture – and she must have listened because she’s beating Alex to the body now with relish, the older girl starting to crouch, really wilting now under pressure from the sharper fighter, groaning as Mandy hits her in the fleshier parts of her abdomen, and now she tucks her into a neutral corner, Alex looking a little glassy-eyed. Mandy has Alex just about ready to go, flips her head back with a controlled left jab, and floors her with a ripper of a right hook, Alex in a heap at her feet, but dragging herself up at 8, claiming that she’s OK – the referee disagrees, and stops the fight.

Result: Mandy Capristo stopped Alexandra Burke in round 6.

Mandy looks a good prospect, but beating Alex Burke is probably a given – however, she looked more than useful, and will learn from this. Alex seems to have very nearly nowhere to go from this defeat against a debutante, although there will always be a queue of girls looking to improve their win ratio
