FREGE/ MUMFORD Frege fight strategy was to set up a pocket defense at the ropes. Well, that didn’t work out too well. Mumford was all to willing too set up a siege and blast away. Frege did manage to win the third and fourth rounds while doing some illegal kidney work in the fourth. After that, it was Mumford back to the siege and she blasted away for the next three rounds until a short right to the chin left Frege helpless and the fight was stopped

SWANEPOEL/ REFAELI In the beginning, it looked like it was going to be a short, bad night for Swanepoel. Refaeli floored her in the first and continued the beating in the second. In the third, Swanepoel landed a buggy whip right to Refaeli’s ribs that changed the tempo of the fight in Swanepoel’s favor. In the fourth, Candice landed a right to the chin, followed by two left hooks and another chopping right and the fight was over with Refaeli being counted out.

HALE/ SCAGLIOTTI, Hale surprised us in this bout. Not that she lost, that was expected, but that she did so well in losing. After losing the first two rounds. Hale strung thee winning rounds together including a knockdown in the fifth. Allison came back to take rounds six through eight with a knockdown in the eighth. Round nine was very close and Hale took the tenth, but the decision went to Scagliotti by a single point

PERABO/ CUTHBERT If the preceding fight was close, this bout was closer for ten rounds. Cuthbert got off to a great start flooring Perabo in the first. That knockdown would turn out to be critical. Perabo came back to take five of the next six rounds and have a wide lead at the end of seven. Cuthbert closed the lead by winning rounds eight and nine. Round ten was a draw. The result was scored a draw with the first round knockdown offsetting Perabo’s one round lead. One minute into the eleventh, Cuthbert landed a right to Perabo’s forehead and then an overhand right to the face that left Perabo helpless. Cuthbert continued to land big punches until Perabo went down for the count

RYAN/ C. BELL Let’s call this bout what it was. A cougar bout. Both 45 with Ryan not fighting in almost a year. Both known as big punchers in their prime, particularly Ryan. This was a fight that was destined to be short of ten rounds. Bell started off the punching taking the first and decking Ryan in the second. In the fourth, Ryan started landing big time and Bell went down not once, but three times. Bell managed to survive the round, but not the next. Ryan blasted away on her hurt opponent until Bell went down and out. Post fight there was a rather disgusting humiliation that I will not detail but it was typical of Jeri’s

SONG/ K. BELL Not a good night if your surname is Bell. Song surprised me in being the aggressor in this bout. She dominated the second and third rounds. By the beginning of the fourth, Bell’s left eye was almost shut. Song took advantage of Bell’s distress by punching Kristen at will until a pair of right hands put Bell down for the count.

BILSON/ KRUEK This was an important fight for Kruek is setting at the end of the Consortium bench. The fight did not start off well for her as she was decked in each of the first two rounds. Kruek rallied to win the next three rounds but Bilson took the lead again winning the sixth. Kruek closed out the fight by winning the last four rounds to get the decision and probably save her job at HISC

HAYEK/ CRUZ, As in most fight thus far in the card there was no lack of action. Cruz hit the canvas in the third and fourth, but Hayek couldn’t finish her. Hayek went down in the sixth and ninth, More importantly Cruz took the last six rounds to get a wide decision

DORMER/ WILDE This bout was a total disgrace. How can a fighter blatantly foul in almost every round and get away with it? Dormer should have disqualified by the third round. Instead her fouls had totally taken Wilde out of the fight and left her a sitting duck. Dormer ended the fight by KOing Wilde in the fourth. I never dreamed we could have a fighter who could out-foul Nolin, but Dormer has quickly reached that plateau, She should be barred from the FCBA before her fouls seriously hurt someone

STRAHOVSKI/ YUSTMAN I thought that Yustman might pull an upset in this bout. Wrong. She did floor Strahovski in the second and had the lead at the end of five. After that it was all Strahovski, who took the las five rounds and put Yustman on the canvas in each of the last three rounds to bet the decision

CHABERT/ CARTER We are not quite to the half way point on the PPV and this will be the sixth fight to go at least ten rounds. That seems rather unusual to me. This was another fight where the eventual winner took control of the fight in the later rounds. Despite some controversy in Carter’s corner, she took four of the first five rounds.
She, however, was floored by Chabert in the second and once again a single knockdown would prove critical. At the end of seven, Carter has a wide 5 round to 2 lead, but Chabert came back to sweep the last three. Chabert got the decision based on five rounds each and the Chabert knockdown

OLSEN/ VANCAMP This has to be the biggest upset of the card to this point. In the last Boxing World Bantam rankings, VanCamp held the ten spot while Olsen’s name popped up behind the number 57. Through four, the fight was going just the way it was supposed to go with VanCamp after giving up the first, controlling the action. In the fifth VanCamp got to brawling with Olsen, which turned out to be a big mistake as an Olsen right dropped her. VanCamp got up but was sagging into ropes. She was helplessly driven into her corner where the fight was finally stopped.

UPTON/ LANDRY This was an intra-stable bout. Landry, a Hall Of Fame, veteran against a promising newcomer. Early in the fight, Landry’s experience was paying off as she took the first two rounds. Early in the third, Upton hurt Landry with a right to the chin. After that Upton landed one right hand after another. Uppercuts and crosses that Landry couldn’t handle and she eventually went down and out. This was Landry’ sixth loss in seven fight and her fifth KO loss in those seven. I think it is time Landry think about hanging up the gloves

WILLIAMS/ LOWNDES This started out as a slugging match from the opening bell but quickly turned into a savage beating. In the first minute Lowndes caught Williams with a slinging right hand that left Williams thunderstruck and on the receiving end of a Lowndes jug mugging and ended with Williams losing her bra sagging helplessly in the ropes and the referee halted the fight. Lowndes with a TKO and Williams the second straight Hall Of Fame fighter to lose tonight

COLE/ THERON Miss Kim was totally right when she said Theron fought the wrong fight against a power puncher. I could have told you that was the way it would go. Charlize would take a couple early rounds and then make the mistake of slugging with Cole. i thought Theron might last six but it was not to be. Cole landed a right to Theron’s Chin in the fourth, and it was all downhill for Charlize from there. The fight was stopped with her hanging helplessly in the ropes. Crusade is over. The goal of 80% wins was not met. The goal of eliminating the “goddess” was not met but just how much of Theron is left remains to be seen. This was the third straight fight in which a Hall Of Fame member lost

DANES/ SPEARS If I was right about how the Theron fight would go, I was certainly wrong about how this fight was going to go. I thought Danes’ only hope of winning would be by taking the fight the ten rounds and getting a decision. If there was going to be a KO, Spears would be the winner. That’s not how it went. A minute into the third round Danes caught Spears with a right/ left to the chin that hurt Spears. Danes then went on a tear landing series of punches that sent Spears to the canvas for an eight count. Danes continued to carve Spears up in the fourth. In the fifth, it wasn’t a big punch that ended the fight but series of punches. The accumulation on punishment was too much for Spears, and the referee wisely stopped the fight. This was the fourth straight fight in which a Hall Of Fame fighter lost (both are in the Hall)

CUOCO/ WINSTEAD. Yes Mary Elizabeth, we will call this not only an upset, but a big upset. Winstead scored first hurting Cuoco in the initial round. Cuoco came back to floor Winstead in the second round and despite giving her a savage beating, couldn’t finish. Somehow Winstead recovered between rounds and pitched a third round shutout. In the fourth, Kaley again hammered Winstead, but couldn’t finish. In the fifth, once again Winstead managed to recover and put Kaley on her knee. The pattern was broken in the sixth as it Winstead who took command of the fight, and pounded Cuoco into a helpless mess and the fight was stopped

BECKINSALE/ BLUNT This was a back and forth fight. Beckinsale winning the odd rounds and Blunt the even. At the end of five, Beckinsale had won three rounds but Blunt had scored a knockdown in the fourth. Early in the sixth, Blunt nailed Beckinsale to the chin and went on a rampage feasting on Beckinsale body until she finally went down to her hands and knees. Once again it was accumulation of punches that did the trick. Beckinsale couldn’t regain her feet and she was counted out.

LILLY DECESARE I think this was one of the better fights of the night. Lilly hurt Carman in the first and Carmen floored Lilly in the second. Lilly than won four straight rounds including decking DeCesare in the fifth and sixth. Decesare started a comeback late in the sixth and then took the next three rounds making it close going into final round. Lilly won the final round and got the decision

RIGHETTI/ MOORE I didn’t think there was any doubt who was going to win this fight. Moore’s only mistake was showing up. Righetti pitched a shutout in the opening round. In the second round she simply and methodically destroyed Moore who was saved from further punishment by the referee. Righetti continues to dominate the very weak welterweight division. Don’t try to impress me with a number of names that seldom show up. Just take one look at the welters who fought in this PPV. By the way Cole is a lightweight

SHAHI/ DOBREV Part one, round one. A bolo right from Dobrev stuns the champ and a slinging right and a couple hooks put Shahi on the canvas.. Shahi makes it to her feet, absorbs a terrible beating, but Dobrev can’t finish her opponent. Part two. Round two. Shahi lands a left hook that send Dobrev to the canvas. Dobrev makes it to her feet and absorbs a terrible beating. Shahi however finishes her opponent when she comes out of a crouch with a blistering hook that ends the fight.

MUNN/ VANDERVOORT This was another good fight if not particularly close. The rounds were hotly contested. Munn took the opening stanza, Vandervoort than took the next two, flooring Munn in the third. After the third, Vandervoort would take only one more round. Munn put Vandervoort on the canvas in the tenth to add a spice to the win.

NICHOLS/ PEREGRYM This was the fight us lightweight fans were looking forward to and we weren’t disappointed. It was another hotly contested rounds with tremendous punishment being doled out. Missy took the first round and Rachel the next two. Peregrym came close to winning in the fourth, when she decked Nichols, but Nichols survived. Rachel then took the next five rounds, decking Peregrym twice in the seventh. Missy’s only hope of winning was by a KO in the tenth. Again she came close. She put Nichols on the canvas , but then Nichols came back and dropped Missy. They both managed to finish the round. Nichols won the lightweight title by a decision.
