Over two years have passed since the inaugural clash between the English and Australian elites and while the cricket rivalry between the two nations dates back to 19th century, the boxing world celebrates only the second edition of the Ashes, proudly hosted in London's Wembley Arena.

On September 19th, 2011 the Downunder Boxing filled now defunct AWUBA-based team defeated the BBU faithful in Melbourne's Crown Palladium Casino by the scoreline of 4-2 to claim the famous Urn where the underwear of Cheryl Cole was duly burnt to celebrate the much awaited success. The English contingent has promised to return the Urn to the UK ever since that day and burn a piece of underwear themselves with couple of desired candidates being labelled as targeted victims of this humiliation.

Several girls who fought on the inaugural Ashes card make their second appearance two years later but Elle MacPherson and Liz Hurley who highlighted the 2011 action with their Main Event showdown turn into coaching roles joined by experienced members of each organization.

The coaching team for The Ashes 2013 is:

ACB: Elle MacPherson (Head Trainer), Nikki Visser (Senior Assistant Trainer)
BBU: Elizabeth Hurley (Head Trainer), Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell (Assistant Coaches)

Coverage from Wembley Arena will be provided by BBU TV with a live feed to Australia courtesy of Channel Team. Meet your broadcat team: Denise van Outen (BBU TV) and Kylie Minogue (ACB guest commentator). Reporting live from ringside will be Georgie Thompson (BBU TV) and Sarah Cummings (Green & Gold Magazine); VIP lounge interviews: Charlie Webster; Twitter feedback: Olivia Godfrey.

As the coverage begins, we head straight towards the VIP lounge right next to the commentators' booth where ACB is proud to host one of the best Australian fighters ever to grace the boxing rings, a woman who has raised herself from a tough experience in AWUBA to become one of FCBA's household names, Yvonne Strahovski.

The guests from Down Under managed to upstage the locals with the arrival of Strahovski as the most prolific English names currently fighting in America failed to show up in London (Kate Beckinsale and Emily Blunt were scouted to make an appearance but after clashing together on the latest PPV on ESPN, their presence threatened to cast a shadow on their European-based compatriots performace). When asked by Charlie Webster about her picks for the Ashes, she tells the BBU TV reporter that "(...) It's only the national pride that matters and keeping the Urn back home is the most important task ahead of the ACB girls, even if they will have to fight until the last round of the event to secure the victory. But I've seen the schedule and I think the BBU team will lose their chance of regaining the Urn long before the last fight on the card!"

The Lookout! Boxing contracted blonde initially refuses to comment on whether she will support Gemma Merna and Georgia Salpa tonight, both whom are on Lookout's European branch roster but when pressed by Charlie she admits, that it's important to Lookout!'s plans to see Merna and Salpa in good shape and while Georgia has won an internal battle with Kim Kardashian in London lately, it's perhaps not out of order to cheer for both of them tonight against the ACB line of honor.

We leave the VIP lounge where Sarah Cummings replaces Charlie Webster in an exclusive interview for Green & Gold and head back to the booth where Denise and Kylie announce the match-ups and inform the viewers about all the late changes to the original schedule. Geri Halliwell, Emily Blunt and Rachel Stevens were all scratched from the BBU roster on the very last second while the presence of champion fighters Erika Heynatz and Miranda Kerr on the ACB team was in limbo until the very last week when it was decided that non-title bouts during one's reign are not against the BBU rulebook. Hence, both Heynatz and Kerr make the visitor's team much to Liz Hurley's dismay as she's without any current champions herself (down to the fact the only British BBU champion right now is Welsh).
