BBU & ACB Presents: "The Ashes--Day One"

Opening the bantam trials are Leilani Dowding, the brunette glamour model who hasn't fought since February when she lost to current BBU divisional champion Charlotte Church and Natalie Bassingthwaighte, a blonde actress and singer who struggled for success in Europe until she knocked Martine McCutcheon out in June. "Leilani is a carbon copy of Martine", Kylie Minogue is full of confidence before the fight, "NatBass will wreck that slut apart no mercy style to finally get us off the mark." But co-commentator Denise van Outen remains reserved on the blonde's chances and indicates that Dowding is one of the most underrated girls in the division. "That's the problem with most of these PageThree girls, unless your last name is Pinder or Jones, you tend to get overlooked. I mean, Leilani's one of the founding members of BBU, has the Foxfire Atlantic support and quite frankly she must destroy Natalie tonight. I see no other option, Kylie. Prepare for the third defeat in a row, honey!"

This fight is truly a coin flipper but the home crowd advantage might play in Leilani's hands; the ex-Page Three girl wearing a navy blue bikini set and black gloves. NatBass enters the ring wearing a red bikini top, white knickers and golden gloves. Both girls look really fine by anyone's standards even if Leilani's cleavage clearly outnumbers the blonde's assets. "Watch NatBass punch those jugs flat...", yup, that's Kylie getting excited in the booth and we're off moments later...

Round 1:
Another furious start to the Ashes bout and both camps really mean business tonight as Leilani rips into the blonde's guts seconds into the fight and peppers the tummy with visible disdain; she wants to stamp her authority as quickly as possible and Natalie has some trouble with taming the brunette's onslaught; she covers up low and seeks overhand response but misses Dowding's head and eats more leather downstairs and begins to circle back in avoidance. Leilani throws a cross-hook on the mouth but skims off the guard and fails to pierce the mitts; bounces off them and wobbles forward; NatBass dekes around her and finally finds some success, bangs a right hook on the eye and follows up on the chin. She moves into close range and uppercuts the rack, bounces off the obvious target and seeks more damage around the elbows, leans on Dowding and peppers the ribcage as the brunette leans on her as well and both women tangle in the middle of the ring trying to land as many shots as possible but it' a chaotic exchange and Leilani yields real estate, jumps back to the ropes and has the blonde losing her balance as she misses a wicked hook upstairs but there's no time to counter that mistake anymore.

Round 2:
Both girls keen to dish out heavy punishment and the Wembley Arena crowd loves it, but the support dwindles during the opening minute as Bassingthwaighte beats the brunette for an overhand hook and slams her on the eye, snaps Leilani's head back repeatedly thereafter and reels her to the ropes with confident jabbing on the cheeks. Couple of nasty lumps appear on Dowding's face with her defence falling apart and it only fuels the blonde's anger; NatBass ups the tempo and finds more accuracy, snaps the head back & forth and suddenly the English girl looks very hittable and Bassingthwaighte romps away at her temples, rocks a cumbersome model on her feet and spins against the turnbuckle, buries a jabbing combo on the stomach; Leilani never saw that and yelps in pain with the blonde smashing a left hook on her eye again and wobbling to the side... uppercuts on the chest follow and Dowding struggles to keep her arms in tact, gets bounced around to the other side and when another straight jab slices her mitts and nails on the jaw SHE CRASHES TO HER KNEES at the blonde's feet and it was as good as it gets from Natalie who simply thumped her rival with a huge ammount of punishment... Kylie's beside herself in the booth while Denise only grits her teeth but Leilani's back upright at seven, looking roughed up already and nursing couple of nasty shiners on her otherwise pretty face as NatBass offers her a devilish smile and jumps into more leather barrage after the command... Dowding ducks low, fends off the blonde's hook with the top of her head but piles a response on the ribcage and spikes the Aussie actress on the liver area and throws herself in a clinch afterwards; shoves the blonde against the ropes and just refuses to let go; Bassingthwaighte's trapped and can't shrug her off as Elle Mac calls for the ref to break the clinch but Dowding gets all the support she needs and survives the round despite the ACB camp yelling out their anger.

Round 3:
That was a tough round for the English brunette but Liz Hurley somehow convinced Leilani she has to go after the blonde foe and if Bassingthwaighte hoped for an easy start into the third, she endures a painful wake-up call as Dowding slams a jabbing combo against her jaw and snaps the head back, follows up on the breasts and pummels around the elbows in the proccess. Another close range leather trading on display but Leilani spikes the liver area with great accuracy and threatens to pull the blonde's plug, NatBass circles back in avoidance, scowls in disdain but than fails to judge the distance well and gets nailed by a straight jab on the nose; Dowding follows up and smacks couple of shots on the cheeks and the Aussie blonde wobbles to the side. She's slow with a response and Leilani jumps right her and lands a perfect uppercut on the jaw that sags Bassingthwaighte on the spot and enables the brunette to pound away at her face moments later; head-snapping combo from the English vixen sends NatBass spinning on the ropes but she fends off more onslaught and clinches the home favorite; ref is quick to break the stalemate this time but the Aussie shows no intentions of obeying and turns the brunette against the turnbuckle with an angry scream; tempers threaten to boil over again as Dowding laces the blonde on the kidneys but can't shove her away and must accept the clock running down in the ACB's camp favor. Ferocious staredown after the bell and it' clear these two really don't like each other but Leilani does a much better job that McCutcheon did so far and it worries Kylie Minogue as well as some other ACB supporters.

Round 4:
No time to catch anyone's breath with both girls in free-for-all punchfest at the start of the fourth and the coaching staff offers little help either, wary of the street brawl occuring in the ring now and it's a bruising opening minute with both faces getting roughed up... vicious leather trading at it's best as Leilaini suffers a nasty cut under the right eye but gives the blonde a fat lip instead... on the minute mark they switch downstairs and seemingly want to break each other's ribs... loud thumps as gloves bounce off the flesh & bones but there's no breakthrough even though the tempo drops and as the BBU TV team predicted, they have nothing left by the last minute and fall into a clinch where Leilani still shows more strenght and shoves the blonde into the ropes but there's more wrestling on display and one must wonder if Elle and Liz knock some common sense into the two girls' heads as they were on course to destroy each other but other than having their faces lumped up, there's still no signs of anyone getting overwhelmed mentally even if NatBass has the knockdown in her favor. At the bell both women look like they've had eight rounds in the ring already and the cutmen attend the numerous wounds with Dowding's cheek cut seemingly bothering her more than the fat lip she gave the blonde.

Round 5:
Much slower start to the fifth, no surprise after that previous round gung-ho folklore however Bassingthwaighte finds more accuracy as she works on the brunette's cheek wound and opens it up again on the minute mark. Dowding tries to pierce the blonde's lip in response but keeps crashing off the mitts and falls into more countering efforts herself; NatBass leans on her and starts to dominate the close range, switches low in the final minute and thumps the brunette's midriff before going up again and banging hooks on the face; Leilani visibly bothered by the cheek bleeding and struggling for breath as her Aussie foe recovers better instead and whips a cross-hooking combo right before the bell, whacks Dowding on the mouth and splits the lower lip much to Kylie's delight in the booth. Leilani sags on the ropes, tries to wipe blood off her face and looks puzzled how on Earth did the Aussie woman managed to hurt her like that; Liz Hurley with loads of motivational work during the interval as the ACB camp think they finally broke the local girl's resilience instead. With a solid dose of blood on top of that!

Round 6:
Bassingthwaighte storms out of her stool and truly looks much fresher of the two as she closes Dowding with ease and thumps an uppercut on the jaw to stagger the brunette on the spot. Leilani suddenly not only looks slower but very hittable as the blonde keeps drilling her guard apart and just lays into her face in the middle of the ring with the head snapped around back & forth and the dark brown hair flying in every single direction... "That's my gurl!!! Bust her up, Nat!!!", Kylie's on her feet in the booth and soon there's only one woman standing in the ring as a cross-hooking combo on the nose relieves Dowding of her balance and SENDS CRASHING FLAT ON HER BACK as more blood pours onto her face, both nostrils got squashed like a bug and it's a horrible sight for all BBU fans as Bassingthwaighte threatens to disfigure the proud brunette model in a way even Martine McCutcheon avoided... Leilani realizes her face is turning into a swollen mask of blood and allthough she rolls onto her side at four and tries to get up, she wobbles forward into the referee's hands and looks anything but ready to continue... But there's no stoppage even though only a miracle can save the buxom model... NatBass enjoys every second of this tough and shoves the ref away... poor Leilani now exposed and unable to raise her arms in time... right hook on the nose sends the brunette to the orbit in no time... left hook grazes her on chin but the legs go underneath the local vixen again AND LEILAINI'S DOWN ON HER BACK AGAIN, this time with her eyes closed and IT IS OVER... KO6 Natalie Bassingthwaighte!!!

AFTER: Another gruesome contest gets the visitors off the mark in a brutal fashion as NatBass nearly rearranged Leilani's face and the medical crew has their hands full one more time with the Ashes already turning into a bloody affair. And we've still got fourteen bouts left! Even Denise van Outen can't imagine what will happen once Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue tangle in the Grand Finale...

As Elle MacPherson pumps herself up before the remaining bouts of the night and gives NatBass a solid pad on the back, Yvonne Strahovski leads the applause in the VIP lounge; Sarah Cummings reminds the viewers Yvonne's all against any Foxfire success (the Atlantic branch naturally included) and even though she saw Leilani for the first time in her life tonight, she still wanted her to lose in the most vicious way possible. NatBass clearly fulfilled that promise and leaves the Arena to a loud set of whistles, the London crowd visibly upset at her brutal treatment of Dowding but no matter how much they loathe the blonde's performance, ACB pulls one back and prevents the hosts from getting a big lead at the start of the event.

Final result: Natalie Bassingthwaighte def. Leilani Dowding KO6.
