BEFORE: "Why shouldn't I fight?" 40 something Liu asks skeptical reporters in prefight. "I'm pretty much the biggest star in television. I'm still hotter than most of these bimbos, and I'm fitter and better. Age is just a number: I still feel like I'm a titan moving amongst insects, you know? Nicole's young, pretty - why shouldn't I have her? I still have the drive to dominate, and this girl's defying me, so...why not beat her senseless?"

Nicole grinning throughout - Beharie in tough in her debut, but undaunted by Liu's towering reputation. "Lucy's a legend," Nicole admits with a smile. "I grew up cheering for her - those fights against Carmen Electra? I lived and died those fights. But problem for her is I'm the second-coming of Nia Peeples. Nia was Lucy's kryptonite in Liu's prime, and I'm that type of explosive, athletic fighter. I'm the female lead on the most popular new show on TV: I'm expected to take down names. Liu's the biggest name out there, and I'm not shying away from that. I want the legend-killer rep, and to get that, you need to go hunting legends."

During R1: Liu hands dangling at sides, left shoulder towards her foe...she's twitching feints, slide-stepping to her right, luring Nikki forward. Beharie cautious on approach, hands up/elbows in - her jab/right hand combo's coming up short as Lucy anticipates. Liu playing cute cat and mouse as she circles counter-clockwise - making Nicole miss, then touching her a rising left jab off the thigh; a spooky, darting right off the hip; a cuffing come-along hook tits or chin. Not a lot of damage, but it's a classy shutout for Liu - nimble feet, clever hands clearly on show through 1.

R2: Similar stuff - Liu with her hands down, shimmying her shoulders, looking to cuff and clout off the counter, but Nicole's got other ideas. Minute mark - Beharie times a nice pounce-step, carrying herself close, chopping a short right hand off the shoulder, clipping chin and PUTTING LUCY ON HER FACE! Stunned cry from the crowd as Liu looks out, then she's pushing groggily up off her chest, face stunned and vacant. Liu's knees stiff, feet stepping into random potholes as she tries to respond to ref's queries...Lucy's ragdoll, desperately hurt as Nicole paces neutral corner all hungry-eyes. ON COMES NIKKI: Beharie steps in jabbing to Lucy's eye-line; strapping her a wicked, lashing right hand in under left breast...Liu grimacing, sitting into ropes hurt, but slugging back hot. Nicole pressing the pace on older woman, hammering flanks/midsection with brutal intentions: Liu clipping back cutie-pie uppercuts, dipping and rolling in the pocket, making Nicole pay high prices for aggression. Bell: Nicole leaves a calling-card hook in Lucy's jugs, bringing a baleful glare of hate from the veteran.

R3: Liu with left at waist/right at chin, left shoulder forward as she presents a closed-front...Nicole attacks with vigour, slamming a wide right in above Liu's left hip on approach. Right uppercuts/left hooks in receipt as Lucy answers back - Nicole bobbing and hooking, staying on the ribcage, bumping and muscling Liu toe to toe. Lucy more stationary - planting in the pocket, bobbing down to put left shoulder into Nicole's body, levering Beharie off, trading licks in close...Nicole gradually able to bump-and-lather Liu to ropes. Lucy's volume trends down as Nicole sustains pace...by round's end, Beharie's pummeling Liu's arms, hooking tits and tummy, softening Lucy up at bell.

R4: Lucy trying to get her legs back in action, but Nicole getting on top with a pesky jab, chopping that short, vicious right to chin, driving Liu to ropes early. Steady bombardment meted out, Nicole to Lucy: Beharie bumping Liu rough, bouncing either hand off sleek tummy, clubbing Liu's biceps, and flashing short-inside uppercuts to face. Liu savagely tested - she's fielding HARD body-licks in under the breasts/deep to tummy, and when she stoops forward, Nikki's picking her up tuff uppercuts. Liu busting up...she's bobbing listlessly in the pocket, taking more than she's slipping - strong legs hold her up, but this is a thumping beatdown she's absorbing. Bell: Nicole all blazing eyes, hopping away hungry and fresh; Lucy disheveled, shopworn through 4.

R5: Nikki just back at Lucy - bumping her against ropes, being rough with her, hooking her tummy, burying right hands in under left breast. Liu cringing from hard touches, but standing her ground...she's fighting from stationary pockets along ropes, bracing Nicole with the extended left elbow, then fetching her quick-flip right uppercuts, or swatting rights upside the head. Nicole taking what she must, staying on Liu's chest to apply the grim mathematics of attrition. Lucy systematically battered while she snatches back in spots...Nikki using a Legend up through 5.

BREAK: Liu's head tilted back, lips parted as trainer works Enswell deep into swollen eyes; Nicole upbeat, alert on her stool as she takes on water and instructions.

R6: Liu doing a little trap-boxing - touching out her jab, walking Nikki close, then hooking her tight to chin while executing cutie-pie pivots-clockwise. Nicole turning-with Liu, not lining her up...Lucy able to work her angles, score some touches, keeping Nicole off balance with a variety of feints, hesitation right hands, and hook-and-pivot routines.

R7: Liu attempting the same hook-and-pivot attack midring, turning Nicole's right flank, but Beharie adjusts. Minute mark, Nicole dives in with a short, chopping right, catching Lucy clean as Liu's moving to her left...Liu's right foot steps too far back, then too far forward as she stumbles around all glassy-eyed, staring. Beharie leans into a sweeping overhand right, crushing Lucy upside the head, flattening right cheek to right shoulder...DOWN GOES LIU! Lucy blown to her back, hands outstretched, knuckles down...she's punch-stunned for 10 as Nicole posts the shocking KO7.

After: Beharie overjoyed in her corner - bubbly and bouncing amongst her handlers...upset win puts her in the front rank of exotic ingenues. "She was RIDICULOUSLY hurt in the second round," Nicole gushes, eyes dancing. "Shows you the sheer pride of Lucy Liu - I couldn't believe she shook off that shot to give me rounds. But hurt is hurt - you didn't see her dancing around and doing her thing after that. I'm pretty solid and I just walked her down, started feeding it to her tuff...without her legs, she just couldn't threaten me. Beating Lucy gives me credentials; I've got standing now. I want KAT GRAHAM as soon as possible, because the FCBA's not big enough for the both of us. CASSIE SCERBO's got to go as well, and I'd love to add CARMEN ELECTRA to my Legends cabinet, you know? I feel like I made a huge splash tonight and I just want to keep the ball rolling!"
