ODDS AND BABES AT THE ASYLUM POST-EVENT PRESS CONFERENCE

The Man In The Hat sits, as usual, at the center of the dais. To his left are Anna Torv, Grace Park, Daniela Ruah, Pink, Britney Spears, and Jewel. To his right sit Allison Mack, Amanda Seyfried, Neve Campbell, , Mariska Hargitay, Avril Lavigne, and Jane Levy.

Man In The Hat: "All right, as usual, before we get to questions, there are some people I want to thank. Let's start with the independent fighters who agreed to join us tonight. As you know, one of the purposes of the Asylum cards is to get work for fighters who might not otherwise get chances in the FCBA. We're going to continue to feature those ladies, and we want to thank the ladies who were here this evening. Also, of course, a big thanks to Odds and Ends for agreeing to a series of fights at Asylum. That series will continue next month. Details to follow. And, thanks again to Beever's Babes for agreeing to send so much talent to Philadelphia this month. I've said before and will say again that Beever's Babes gets overlooked too much. There's a lot of talent in that stable, and you saw some of it tonight. And, last but not least, to the FCBA Commission for sanctioning these events, as, without them, none of this would be possible. Now, questions. Cable Boy, go!"

HBO Reporter: "Are we going to see Torv/Rowland III?"

Man In The Hat: "Considerin' what happened in the first two fights, let's just say it's on my to-do list..."

HBO Reporter: "Seems like they have a nice little rivalry developing..."

Man In The Hat(smiling): "It certainly does. They've had two straight great fights. And, in case anybody's interested, I think Anna fought very well tonight. She had one bad round and it cost her the fight. Those things happen. Take that round out, and she beats a very good fighter, and dominates her a lot of the fight. But. Sometimes the other guy makes a play. And Kelly made 'em when she needed 'em. She fought a great fight herself and deserved to win. Against a girl who should have had a title shot this summer, if it hadn't been for that Menounos nonsense. Yeah. Torv/Rowland III is somethin' I expect at some point. Cable Boy II! Go!"

Showtime Reporter: "McCarthy basically said on the air that Amanda is done here after tonight's loss. Considering that you need to clear a spot on the roster in less than 90 days and that Amanda wasn't able to get a result in another big fight..."

Man In The Hat: "Look, here's the thing. Amanda has shown, and more than once, that she can fight with high-level bantams. She took Kruek overtime. She had the lead tonight. Both those girls are former champions. If she can fight with girls like that, she can fight with anybody in the division. The question, though, is can she BEAT girls like that. And it's an important question we haven't yet gotten an answer for. And, here's the thing. And this is what we mean by the term 'Elevation'. We need girls around here that CAN beat top-level girls. But, as far as what roster moves, and I'm using the plural there on purpose, we might make in the next few months, there've been no decisions taken. And that includes any decisions about which fighter will be coming over to complete the Scherzinger trade. BLONDE! Magazine! Talk to me!"

BLONDE! Magazine Reporter: "Talk to ME about your two blonde bantams, Pink and Allison Mack!"

Man In The Hat: "As you know, we think very highly of Pink and Allison. These are girls we feel comfortable pushing at the weight. Both of them are very well balanced. They can do a lot of different things. And they're both VERY physical. We LIKE big, physical fighters around here. And that's what they are. We like 'em both. A lot. Tess, dear, go ahead."

Tess: "Speaking of bantams you like, Grace looked great tonight..."

Man In The Hat(smiling): "See, Grace is an example of a girl who DID break through. She had some close calls against good fighters. Couldn't quite get a result. And then she started doing it. She Elevated. She broke into that elite group and became a champion. And, tonight, you saw just how good she can be. Smackeroo! Time for dinner. Take us there."

Reporter: "Dani's a girl who's been close in some big fights. What did you think of her work tonight?"

Man In The Hat: "Saw a lot of good things. See, Dani's another example of the kind of girl I like. She can do different things in there. We know she's got as much one-punch power as anyone in the FCBA, but she's more than that. She can box. She can bang. She's aggressive, accurate, and slick. She's big, rangy, and physical. She has all the tools we look for. And you saw that tonight. Deeley's a slick boxer. Made things tough on Dani with her range, fitness, and skills. But Ms. Ruah had answers. Because she has a box full of tools. She's had some chances to Elevate. Hasn't yet. But she'll get more. Because it's IN there. Now, it's dinner time! Tess, Smackey, Limo!"
