Kaley Cuoco (Big Bang Theory) versus Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother) (Sim results; Lookout! words)
Before: Two fantastic lightweights in one bout, with two of the funniest ladies on television ready to compete tonight but neither of them is in a joking mood tonight. However, both look very positive and friendly leading into the match.
“Of course I respect Cobie a lot – I've loved the work she has done on the Avengers and How I Met Your Mother. It's really clear that her career in Hollywood is on the rise, but my job tonight is to make sure that her career in the FCBA doesn't move any higher. I'm going to have to put a stop to that and the best way to do that is to teach her a lesson in this fight. I'm just going to have to deliver a Big Bang to her aspirations tonight and blow them up!” Kaley states leading up to the fight. Cobie grinning, “Of course I love what Kaley does on the Big Bang Theory each and every week, plus what she does here in the FCBA all the time. But, I'm getting bigger and better as people are starting to notice me. It's time for me to really show what I can do and putting out Kaley is going to really put me on the map! We are both hilarious, but we'll see who is laughing after the match!”
Cobie in a light purple bikini top and matching pair of shorts with matching gloves - hair in a fighting ponytail; Kaley wearing a hunter green bikini top with white trim, as well as matching shorts and green gloves – hair in a fighting ponytail.
R1: It's an aggressive, rolling start from Kaley, who looks intensely motivated following her loss at the previous PPV and appears to be looking to redefine the term “blowing the doors off an opponent” as she just pounds Cobie at will in the first round, pouncing and harassing her foe around the ring. Cuoco circles as she fits Smulders with crisp and clouting hooks across her head and body, battering the brunette along the ropes. Kaley is just scoring aggressively, hopping forward in determined fashion as she just carves up Cobie's ribcage and torso, doubling her over. Cobie covering up, going earmuff as she staggers back towards the ropes, going all wobbly-butt but impressively staying upright despite the powerful blows that keep smashing into her body. Trying to cover up her head as Cuoco keeps hooking towards it, occasionally scoring a straight to the face through her mitts or crashing across her temple, but Kaley mainly imposes her will this round through brutal body work that keeps bashing across Cobie's breasts, tummy and ribs. Squaring up as she just goes to town on Cobie, making her take weight along the ropes as she rotates her hips back and forth, feet planted as she keeps slamming her gloves into body with devastating results. It's a dazed Cobie at the end of the round, but she is able to weather in the storm as she stays upright after an amazing first round from Kaley, who repeatedly beats Cobie to the punch and around the ring. Kaley's chest rising and falling angrily as she looks at Cobie, who is staggering to her corner after the bell, obviously dazed and Cuoco clearly leads through one.
R2: Cobie comes out aggressively, having recovered well in between rounds as Kaley is a little more cautious, perhaps a little tired from her all-out war of attrition in the previous round. Cobie comes out, keeping her guard high as Kaley swings in with right and left hooks but Cobie pre-empting her offense with a hard jab that connects towards her face, kicking Kaley's head backwards. Lining up the jab as right hands keep connecting with the blonde's face. Kaley switches her focus down lower as Smulders slides back and forth, trying to avoid getting any hooks in receipt as she keeps spitting out that hard-hitting jab. Kaley blinking a bit, a little dazed as she tries to cover up but Cobie then transitions with her left hook just digging into Cuoco's ribcage and then continues to feed her drilling right hands to face. Kaley staggering, a little shocked as she tries to weave her way to freedom away from the constant, pounding jab but Cobie is relentless as she keeps whacking away at her face . It's a brutal barrage of left hooks and right jabs, with that right jab thumping forward into her face. Kaley woozy as she continues to suffer from the powerful right glove crashing into her face over and over, sending her wobbling off balance into the ropes. Slumping against the ropes as there isn't much coming back at this stage and as they enter the final minute, it's Kaley who crashes down face-first into the canvas in a shocking KO2 win for Cobie Smulders!
After: Ring observers wonder whether Kaley punched herself out in that first round, leaving her open for a comeback victory for Cobie! But, such speculation will be reserved until later as right now is the time for celebration. It's a big win for Cobie Smulders, who has not been always been an active participant in the FCBA but makes a big statement tonight that she definitely be getting more opportunities to do so! “Good thing we don't have to wait like nine seasons to find out “How I Beat Kaley Cuoco, right?” smiling as she addresses the press afterwards, “Two rounds is all I needed!” as she holds up two fingers like a peace sign, “I knew if I could just take her best shot, she couldn't handle mine and you all saw that tonight!” Cobie confident after her match and it's well-deserved with this victory as she struts around the ring, looking around as if she is daring anybody else to jump in there with her as she raises her hands up into the air after this stunning upset of Kaley Cuoco! |
