Before: "Imagine the set of 'Make it or Break it," Nicole smiles, invoking images of a gym full of brawny, snarky gymnasts. "Everyone's in leotards; mats everywhere - of course you're going to work on takedowns, holds and submissions in between takes. You've got Scerbo mad-dogging you and wanting sparring all the time. It's like Darwin designed a show to create perfect little competitors. That's where I'm coming from: that's what shaped me. It's like I'm a little shark, dropped into the Foxfire guppy-pond, and there's Clare. I'm gonna tear this girl up guys - send a message to Lucy Hale, put Hayden under pressure...it's gonna be awesome!"

Bowen rolling her eyes - she can't believe the 'tude from Nikki GA. "First off, don't tell an Australian about sharks," Clare quips in rebuttal. "Second, don't make stupid threats you can't back up. I can see Nicole's fit and cute - everyone acknowledges that. But that's it: just because she's been on some competitive sets doesn't mean she's a fighter. I'm tuff too, and I'll give her a real fight. If Nikki GA thinks she's going to just romp to victory over me because I wasn't on some stupid gymnast show, then she doesn't know boxing!"

Clare in baby-blue push up with white lace trim; sturdy boy-leg trunks in navy velvet with a bit of hip; white boxing shoes with socks rolled down; white gloves; blonde hair in fighting Dutch braid with messy bangs. Nikki GA in black sport top, gold bikini underneath; black boxing booties; black gloves; hair in tight knobby braids forming two cute devil horns on top of her head. During ref's instructions, Nicole looks Clare over and asks: "Did you do any roadwork? Any at all?"
Clare: "Shut it."
NGA: "Make me."
Clare: "I will."
Pause from NGA while she thinks, then: "I'm cute as a button."

During R1: Clare wading into Nicole, hooking and crossing: Nikki snarling, slide-stepping to her right to create little gaps, punching back hot one-twos jug and face. Good pressure from Bowen, but you can see Anderson's class: footwork luring Clare in; quick hands peppering Clare in combination. Nicole gradually out-working Clare - blonde girl unhurt, but hot-cheeked and looking a little flustered at bell.

R2: Clare remembering to jab - just setting the table, allowing her to lean in with short, stout right hands to chin. Nikki shocked by Clare's weight of shot - nimble brunette hop-stepping out of range to circle, but midway through...blonde-girl lands a stubby right to chest, backing Nicole up: Bowen stepping-with, turning over the hook and DROPPING NIKKI GA TO HER GLUTES! Anderson in shock, shaking her head as she sits in a puddle of distress: she's all trembly/snively rising for 8. Clare wading in to finish, but again: clever sidestepping footwork, crisp combination punches from Nicole denies blonde girl her finishing run.

R3: Clare puts together a smart pursuit-package. Nikki's quicker, so Clare using her jab to close, punching Nicole's forehead. Bowen getting her back into short right hands head or chest - idea's just to bombard Nicole, get her out of her stance so clean-up hooks can clip her chin again. All works to perfection - Nikki constantly harassed and bullied, forced into hopping retreats...fit little brunette able to scamper to safety, but not answering any of Clare's aggression through 3.

R4: Nice trap-boxing from Nicole complicates Clare's life: blonde girl wading in only to be potshotted, pre-empted, then sidestepped. Nikki performing very crisply - hopping in circles, feinting like a veteran, touching Clare up tic-tac-toe. Bowen covering up dukes-at-temples, riding out the peppering, but she's never in good positions to really bang back with authority.

R5: Nicole settling in. She's really comfortable with her distance now - just shifting to either side or back a bit, drawing Clare forward, then pepper-potting her. Nikki using her jab as well - punching Clare tummy/head...good quick, stiff poke keeping blonde girl defensive. Midway through, Nicole boxes Clare into a vulnerable position: brunette POURS a right hand over blonde left shoulder, clocking Bowen's jaw a terrific jolt! Blonde girl baby-steps to her right with a pinched face of hurt, but curvy legs hold her up as she gobbles Nicole's power. Anderson doesn't follow up, wary of Clare's durability...brunette happy to box out the clock after stinging her foe.

R6: Nicole dominates - even humiliates - Clare this round. Nikki boxing in circles, extending on punches, bouncing mitts off blonde guard, head. Clare crossing arms to bob forward; forming earmuffs to walk-through Nikki's work, but Bowen can't close. Nikki's just pepper-potting, sidestepping in good order, owning the ring. Down the stretch, Nicole really dialing in - drilling one-twos through Clare's guard to punch pretty blonde face back, finally getting into Clare's legs, putting her wobbly-butt. Bowen fighting back tears, totally outclassed: heartbreaking to see her so frustrated, out on the end of Nicole's accurate fists. At bell, Nicole heartlessly taunts: "OHMIGOD I'M BETTER THAN YOU!"

R7: Nicole chipping away at Clare, but Bowen's made some adjustments. Clare slips the jab, answers back hook-to-chin...Nikki bopped back onto heels, shook up in trade. Bowen able to come forward, be productive: she's landing stubby right hands over Nicole's left shoulder, jamming brunette jaw, buzzing her legs. Midway through, Anderson so startled she jogs away to regroup: crowd booing as supposedly "Darwinian" competitor visibly runs from contact. Bowen emboldened as Nicole's composure cracks...blonde girl walking her brunette down, weaving in close, hammering the ribcage at bell.

R8: Flurry to blonde's tummy has her crouching/blocking...Anderson withdraws with her hands down, thinking she's suppressed Clare, but Bowen lunges up from crouch, hooking chin like a champ! DOWN GOES NIKKI GA! Anderson chin-toggled, swept to her back...she's dropped hard, looking just devastated by Clare's gambling clout. Bowen seething - all "I'm mad" eyes and flaring nostrils...she's filled with Nikki-hate as Anderson takes 8. ON COMES CLARE! Bowen like a little blonde bull, pancaking Nicole into ropes, jostling her to disorganize, then belting away to glory! Clare: teeth bared, hacking and bashing away with both hands in thumbside-up delivery. POOR NIKKI GA! Anderson cowering behind her mitts, battered and buffetted about head and shoulders as she sits in ropes. Too much Clare - Bowen just drenching Nicole in punishment...ref lets it go on a good long time, then moves in to cradle helpless Anderson to safety. TKO8 Bowen in hardhearted fashion.

AFTER: Clare angry - storming to Nicole's corner after the verdict's been announced...blonde girl hands on hips, seething, glaring into Nicole's face while Anderson's looking at canvas and stealing only the odd quick glimpse at furious Clare.
Clare: "Walk, or eat tummy. Choose."
Nicole: (verge of tears). "Don't."
Clare: "Why? You were going to walk me or mount me. Right?"
Nicole: "i'm sorry."
Clare: "What?"
Nicole: "I'm SORRY. I wouldn't have."
Clare: "Yeah right."
Nicole: "Don't. 'Kay Clare? Please?"
Clare: "You're pathetic. Just remember what could have happened and didn't. You're lucky I'm classier than you, not just better."
Clare turns away all I-showed-her, but it's a mistake. Nicole's expression goes from contrite to bratty - she lunges into a savage chop-block, cutting Bowen's legs out from underneath her and leaving her bawling in pain. That's enough to bring Foxfire girls boiling in, but Nikki's out of the ring, hotfooting-it up the ramp with the ballistic speed of any good gymnast.
