BEFORE: "There's two main reasons I told my guys to get me Righetti," Upton asserts in prefight. "One: Brooklyn Decker would never fight Amanda in a million years. And two: I know I can shock Amanda Righetti. Not gonna try to box with her or touch her for points. Not gonna try to outwork her. All I want is one good hard look at her chin. I don't care about minutes or rounds - I'm looking for the golden moment. Because as God is my witness, I KNOW Amanda Righetti can't take my punch! This thing will end in a thunderclap: I'll be standing and Amanda will be on the ground, helpless. Cut: print!"

Righetti upbeat, feeding off Upton's high-spirited challenge. "Anytime you face off against an SI cover girl, it's a bit of an ego-stroke," Amanda admits at podium. "Kate is this generation's Rebecca Romijn - she really could be that good at some point. Question is, is she that good, right now? I don't know. Upton taking a good shot, and catching Amanda in receipt: redhead startled upright by energetic hooks; chased backward by straight right hands. Kate unafraid - eyes a-blaze with KO ambition...she's stepping into shots, extending through her motion - Amanda forced into hopping circular retreats. Kate's the aggressor as plan to back her up doesn't materialize through 1.

R2: Similar stuff - Upton throwing hard right hands off a measuring-stick jab - wide, shellacking blasts spanking off Righetti's left flank. Amanda pivot-stepping to her right, absorbing some of the power - hands up, elbows in...she's receipting with jug-jabs, looking to open Kate up for the short right cross. Midway through, Upton straightens out her right hand to good effect - catching Amanda cleanly to chin and RIGHETTI'S LEGS GIVE A SHIMMY! Amanda's back (right) foot slides forward out of position, then too far out to the side - she's stumbling around hurt as Upton goes all in! Kate wading into Amanda via free-swinging lefts and rights - redhead swept to ropes, her hands at temples, blocking the wallop. Kate: teeth bared, curls in her eyes, jugs a-sloshing side to side as she pours leather to Amanda. Upton slugging lefts and rights in the horizontal plane, thumbside-up, clobbering Amanda's lats, guard, ears. Righetti big and strong, laying on ropes...Upton alters trajectory on the bashing right hands, clouting Righetti across her tummy: redhead's legs give a quiver as blonde girl gets in thick. Thumping torment for Righetti - she just rides it out to bell, letting Kate work up a shiny-backed lather through two.

R3: Kate still carefree, reckless, but effective...she's got Amanda turning counter clockwise in steps and pivots - redhead safety-first, blocking then receipting with the jab. Upton seething, teeth bared...she'll stalk Amanda, find her with the left hand, belt her a lusty walloping right hand to lats with the thumbside-up delivery - Upton curling the mitt back to her own chest after scoring. Kate occasionally able to square up and batter Amanda in her stance: Righetti calm in the pocket, protecting her head, trusting her legs as Upton bashes away. Righetti withstanding the storm, but curiously inactive...she's probing with the jab, punishing Kate's tits to some effect, but rarely following through the right hand...leads to an increasingly brazen Kate Upton offensive mindset through 3.

R4: Righetti up-tempos. Double jab gets her close; short, chopping right hand raps off blonde chin, then the girls are in close, struggling shoulder to shoulder. Amanda digging left/right to tummy; bumping chest with that left shoulder...she's finally got Kate backing up, looking to cuddle for ref's breaks. Righetti not having it: she keeps her head low, elbows in, bobbing in the pocket to prevent clinches, then ripping short, succulent punches to Kate's ribs and tummy. Blonde girl grimacing, backing into ropes: Amanda braces super-model jug with a bossy left forearm, then settles into a thumping rhythm. Kate hard-pressed - showing a crossed-arm front with back of right hand at left cheek/left across her gut. Amanda jabs the front, then leans into blunt right hands - happily smashing at shoulder/bicep; forehead; leftside lats - whatever's available. Give Upton credit - she's getting shelled, but curvy legs hold her up. She's even offering back the odd sloppy-wallop right hand up top - usually draping Amanda's shoulders as redhead ducks inside the arc.

R5: Kate mouthbreathing, hands on hips when she rises from stool: she's feeling Amanda to the body. Still, it's Kate the aggressor when they close - blonde girl scattering her redhead with crashing right hands wide to flank. Righetti pivoting smartly to her right - jabbing chest, reaching in to palm Kate's shoulders, pushing blonde girl off. Upton getting jostled, losing momentum: Amanda gradually takes charge midring. Midway through, Righetti times Upton's sweeping right to ribs - leans inside it - detonates a short right hand off Kate's chin in trade: BLONDE GIRL DOWN! Upton blown to her back as her rear (right) leg fails...she's a hot mess rolling around, trying to scramble to her feet. Righetti steely-eyed to neutral corner, composing herself: Kate all disheveled, whining for her 8 count. Classic Amanda Righetti clean up over the remaining time: squaring up on Kate at ropes; jabbing her into defensive fronts; beating her ribs/arms via thump-thump combos; jabbing to reset balance. Kate making sullen attempts to walk away, but Amanda extends arms, pushing blonde girl back where she belongs, then beats her body as punishment for the escape attempt. Bell: Upton hugging her ribs, lambasting the ref for no good reason; Amanda marching back to her corner all blazing eyes, angry buttocks.

R6: Amanda taps a double jab onto Kate's forehead, then dives into a straight right slanted down into breadbasket: slamming gut-shot punches the air from blonde lungs, sending Kate reeling backward to ropes. Upton sobbing, right arm over top rope - left hand up and out to ward off redhead charge. Amanda snarling, batting Kate's left down with her own left and ramming a short right chaser into Kate's left ear...blonde girl tilts into ropes, arranging hands on face while presenting left side to Amanda. Righetti shifts into finishing cadence - squared up on Kate's left shoulder: left hands dig at precious blonde tummy; right hands slam at Kate's back. Upton shuddering under the impacts, but refusing to go down: Righetti shifts weight, setting herself on left leg, ripping short left hooks at the guard, pounding past arms to get at helpless breasts. AMANDA'S BELTING AWAY TO GLORY! Redhead's back all shiny with sweat...positioned off Kate's left shoulder, Amanda's torquing torso-right again and again, pulling hooks into Upton's rack as blonde girl's defences disintegrate. Kate sagging into ropes, suffering, head starting to loll - ref moves in, cradling supermodel to safety. TKO6 Amanda Righetti.

After: Righetti fresh and pretty in postfight, white towel draped across brawny shoulders...interviewers want to know about the slow start. "You know, she was very strong at the start," Amanda admits. "Could I have gone right at her? Sure, but it would have been a crapshoot: she was really committing on right hands that could have won the fight for her. I got her into a turning battle, let her spend up some energy...she's heavy handed, but sloppy - I felt like I could block her pretty well, even when she was in good positions. Once I had her breathing hard, I went to the body, and that really took the steam out of her. Got her down - you could see her spirit was fading - little bit of quit in her body language. Once I saw that, I just poured it on and got the ref in."
