TESS VALMORE

Tractorpull wants to restate their activity rule. Because of the Menounos lightweight title farce, we established a ninety day or three PPV, whichever is longer rule. A fighter who doesn’t fight during that time limit will be dropped from the rankings. We will not permit a fighter to retain ranking by sitting ringside eating popcorn, while other women are out there risking facial and bodily assets There are other venues for fights other than the main PPVs. There are the Asylum cards plus PPVs run by Lookout and OddMan among others. there is also CBAD and beach boxing. If a manager can’t get a top fighter a fight during our time limit either, he or she really doesn’t care or he or she has too many fighters in the stable

LIGHTWEIGHTS

1. RACHEL NICHOLS We completely overlooked her in the last rankings. Now she in the champion. She has won three straight with wins over Lima and Peregrym (twice) Her record is still one loss below the 500 mark, but that is pretty good when you consider she lost 12 of her first 13 fights. She will have a height advantage against almost every opponent

2, TAYLOR COLE She jumps from out of sight to the number two slot. We didn’t pay much attention to this three time champion because she had a bad year in 2012, This year she snuck up on me with knockout wins of Peregrym, Theron and Regan That string of wins should gain her a title shot

3. KALEY CUOCO Drops to three because of Cole’s entering the rankings She retains her high ranking despite being upset by Winstead in her last fight. She is 3-2 this year with wins over Biel, Strahovski and Lawrence

4. JENNIFER LAWRENCE Drops to four. I considered her for the three slot, but her only loss this year was to Cuoco. She has wins over Biel and Nichols. She hasn’t fought in the last two PPVs. Need to fight in the next

5. MISSY PEREGRYM Lost her title to Nichols. She is 3-3 this year with losses to Cole and Nichols (twice). She is a small lightweight. . There has been talk of her returning to bantam where she was dominate. I don’t expect that to happen

6. ADRIANNE PALICKI This two time champion moves up to six with her KO of Lima

7. ERICA DURANCE Moves up to seven. This two time unified champion has now won six straight fights over the last two years. She moves up on her KO of Biel, who was the first A list fighter she has faced recently. I am not sure how active she will be

8. ADRIANA LIMA Drops down to eight after losses to Nichols and Palicki. Word around is she is good against models, but not against A list fighters. She is running out of models to fight. I would guess her days in the top ten are limited

9. MARIA MENOUNOS Has fought only twice this year and not since she lost her title. Inactivity is her big problem. Last fought in the August card. If she doesn’t fight on the next card she will be removed from the rankings.

10. MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD Miss Winstead is our go to girl when we need to find a number ten. She moves back into the top ten on the misfortune of others. She has won three straight including a win over Cuoco

WHO DROPPED OUT

JESSICA BIEL Sacrilege you say. After all, she is in the Hall Of Fame. She is considered the most athletic fighter in the FCBA, Some consider her the best lightweight period. Unfortunately, we don’t do rankings based on reputation She has lost five of her last six, being KOed five times. Her own stable has removed her from being the face of the organization. The Wiz says she will be back. I think he is probably right, but it going to take some time.

TRICIA HELFER. Removed due to inactivity. She has had only two fights this year and lost her last. She didn’t fight in three straight PPVs. She pays the penalty. She is in the same stable as Durance. It seems the stable has a problem with keeping both active

ANNA TORV She is 3-2 for the year but has fought only once since June and lost that fight. She is not scheduled on the next Asylum card

THE TOP TEN WELTERWEIGHTS

This division is undergoing a major shakeup because of either losses or inactivity In doing the rankings we even consulted the last World Boxing rankings. It is surprising how many fighters who are supposed to be good, seldom fight. It was only because of Smackey’s rankings we could come up with ten

1, AMANDA RIGHETTI This is no surprise. She owns the division, which is far from being strong. Since the last ranking she has beaten Palicki, Moore and Upton. She has now won six straight.

2. TAYLOR COLE. We also have her rated as the number two lightweight since that is her usual division. She has also been successful at welter, just haven beaten Theron and Regan. She has fought Righetti once and beaten her. She has previously held the welter title

3. CHARLIZE THERON This is a surprise. She lost to Cole, but beat Freeman. it is the win over Freeman jumps her from six to three. Freeman was ranked three when the two fought. She is six and four for the year against the toughest competition they could throw at her in the Crusade. She is now guaranteed her fifteenth straight winning season

4, CASSIDY FREEMAN. Was three in the last rankings. Her loss to Theron drops her one.

5, BRIDGET REGAN. Since the last rankings, she has lost to Cole and lost three of four this year. What was once the Righetti and Regan division seems now to be just the Righetti division

6. KATE UPTON. She seems to be a big fan favorite. To her credit, she is active. She is 4-3 for the year having beaten Bell, Govich and Landry

7. LEELEE SOBIESKI She is three wins in four bouts this year this year. She barely stays ranked. She fought four days before the August PPV, so I will cut her some slack. She is scheduled to fight on the next Asylum card which takes her out of time jeopardy

8. CATHERINE BELL This 45 year old is 4-3 for the year but lost her last two by knockouts. She goes against Sobieski at this month’s Asylum card

9. BROOKLYN DECKER. She has won five of her last six, with her biggest win being over Govich. Opposition was not exactly A list, but she is active. She does need to fight by the next PPV

10. DANIELA RUAH. She is 8-3 in the last two years with her losses being to Lawrence, Joanne Kelly (twice)

MOON BLOODGOOD- Hasn’t fought in almost 150 days and 4PPVs
