BEFORE:

"I KNOW what everyone's saying," says Holly with a smile. "I haven't been in an FCBA ring in a long time. Well, I stepped away for awhile to do the mom thing, but I've been back working out and fighting in lower-level organizations for a couple of years now, and I want to have one more run in the FCBA. I'm not going to keep doing this forever, so, if it's going to happen, now's the time. And Graham is JUST the girl for my FCBA return."

"I'm EXCITED about fighting Holly," says Kat with a grin. "I mean, I remember watching her on TV when I was in GRADE SCHOOL! I've always looked up to her, so it's going to be fun when it's all over tonight and I get to look DOWN at her. When she's flat on the canvas. Know what I mean?"

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside, and you're hearing 'Mysterious Ways', by U2, the favorite band of the lady coming to the ring right now, Holly Marie Combs..."

McCarthy: "I'd say she was a typical Dancing Hooker opponent, but this is a new one even for The Weirdo. Combs HAS an FCBA win, but it was over 13 years ago! She's lost seven straight since, and hasn't been in an FCBA ring in over 91 months!"

Cassie: "SOMEone finally learned how to use the calculator on her iPhone..."

McCarthy: "Shut UP, Scabbo!"

Tess: "And, in a bigger upset, actually did some RESEARCH for the broadcast..."

McCarthy: "You shut up, too, Walmart!"

O'Dell: "Drink up, boys, as Holly is helped off with the robe to reveal a light violet number that shows off a still-excellent body..."

Cassie: "Well, she's only 39. She's a CHILD compared to Mac..."

McCarthy: "I'M WARNING YOU, YOU LITTLE..."

O'Dell: "Now, calm down, Mac, and listen to 'Wanna Say', by the lady coming down to the ring now, 'The Liberian Lynx, Kat Graham!"

Tess: "Graham an undefeated 4-0 this year. She makes no secret of her ambitions, the first of which is the top spot in the flyweight pecking order at Front Street, and there's no question she's caught management's eye in a big way..."

O'Dell: "And she's catching the eye of the crowd as she's helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal a yellow number that has tongues wagging...and a few hanging out. The ladies close to ready, so it's time for some picks. Tess favors Graham. What do you think, Mac?"

McCarthy: "I think don't think Kat Graham is nearly as good as Kat Graham thinks she is. Then again, I don't think anyone in the UNIVERSE believes she's as good as SHE thinks she is. Her ego barely fits in this building..."

Cassie: "Especially with YOURS in it..."

McCarthy: "You're going to fit nicely in a PINE BOX in about ten seconds!"

O'Dell(sighing): "Is there a pick in there somewhere, Mac?"

McCarthy: "DESPITE the fact that Graham is a legend only in her own mind, I don't expect 91 months of rust to fall off Combs fast enough for Holly to pull the upset..."

O'Dell: "What do you think, Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

McCarthy(mumbling): "Little scream queen weasel..."

O'Dell(sighing): "And, there's the bell. Graham making with the legs right away. Combs looking to get square and close, but Kat having none of it. Graham snapping out a jab, finding the range with it, circling, bobbing, all motion. Gets off a flurry and then gets gone."

Cassie: "Graham making good use of that speed. She's as quick as just about anyone in the division, and Holly can't find her right now."

O'Dell: "Graham jabbing and moving, going left, stopping, popping, circling right. Combs trying to cut the ring, but can't do it. Graham finding empty canvas, nailing Holly, then slipping away before Combs can land in response."

Tess: "You're seeing one of the reasons management is so high on Graham. The kind of speed she has is very hard to deal with..."

O'Dell: "As Holly is finding out. Combs disciplined, deliberate, determined, stalking the younger woman. But Graham's dictating terms, landing a flurry and then getting out of Dodge before Holly can counter. Combs still in pursuit as the final seconds tick away, but it's an easy first round win for Graham."

McCarthy: "10-9, Kat. Holly needs to find a way to counter this speed, or it's going to be a long night for our first witch."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second begins with Kat on her toes again. Graham dancing all over the ring as Holly tries to square her up. Kat in constant motion, stopping the legs only long enough to get off a flurry, then right back on her bicycle."

McCarthy: "This kind of thing can get very discouraging very quickly for the girl doing the chasing. You're working hard and the only thing you're getting in return is a face full of leather."

O'Dell: "Combs dogged. Managing to land in spots, but she can't put anything together, because Graham isn't allowing it. She's not hanging in there and prolonging the exchanges. As soon as Holly starts getting off, Kat's gone."

Cassie: "And, as frustrating a strategy as that IS for Holly, it's the right one for Graham. She's thinking 'points' early and also making a woman 15 years her senior work awfully hard."

O'Dell: "Combs continuing to work to cut the ring, but having almost no success. Kat picking her off with that left hand, sliding away from her, making Holly turn and reset, catching her with a combination on the way in. Last seconds of the second round slip into history and it's another dominant round for Kat Graham."

Tess: "20-18 after two. Like Cassie said, points early."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "We've moved into the third now and Graham again on the move. Combs keeping the guard high, moving in and tying up the younger girl now, banging body in the clinch. Kat shoving her off, Holly landing a good right before Graham can slip away."

McCarthy: "Combs very aggressive now, willing to eat some leather to close and tie up, wrestling Graham back to the ropes and banging body. Kat shoving Holly away and slipping free, but not before Combs is able to score in there."

O'Dell: "Kat wants to fight in space, but Holly not allowing it. Continuing to aggressively close and clinch. Kat punching free and we're seeing our best two-way exchanges of the fight thus far, as both girls are scoring."

Cassie: "Some slick, veteran stuff from Holly right now. Keeping those hands high and the feet moving, crowding Graham, wrestling her back to the ropes and landing a solid flurry..."

O'Dell: "Kat fires right back and Holly answers with a good right hand. Graham shoves Combs off and slips free to open canvas, now dancing and moving again. Holly continuing to pressure in a high guard, closes and clinches again, hooking ribs in the final seconds and there's the bell. And Holly's on the board."

Tess: "29-28 right now, and that change in tactics has Holly back in the fight."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Fourth round begins with Combs again closing aggressively and getting stopped COLD by a laser-guided left hand and a follow up right! Combs forward again and eats ANOTHER solid combination!"

Cassie: "This is the answer for Combs' crowding. Commit to that left. Don't just snap it, off your back foot. BANG it home then follow off."

O'Dell: "Combs undeterred, continues to pressure and Graham makes her pay again with a nasty flurry! Right hand in there got Combs' attention! And Graham backpedals and waits, as if to say 'come get some'!"

McCarthy: "This kid couldn't BE more full of herself..."

Cassie: "Says 'The Playmate Of The Century'..."

McCarthy: "AND 'The Greatest Fighting Playmate Of All Time'!"

Cassie: "Fish. Barrel."

O'Dell: "Holly taking up the invitation and Kat NAILS her with a Ray Leonard flurry! Combs wobbled! Backs up for the first time in the fight and Graham now advancing, lands ANOTHER solid combination that has Holly buzzed. Combs covering up now and Graham is getting off with both hands! Holly backed to the ropes and Kat landing almost at will as the final seconds tick off ending the fourth. Big round for Kat Graham!"

Tess: "And she's back out to a two point lead, 39-37 through four."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth round underway and it starts with a nice exchange! Both ladies landed solid stuff there...and again! Good, two-way trading right now. Graham standing flat-footed, going right at Combs, and Holly answering back, giving as good as she's getting."

Tess: "Graham seems to be playing into Combs' hands here, Mac..."

McCarthy: "Maybe. Or maybe she's upping the work rate here to see if Holly can keep up and to start draining Combs' reserves. She may be thinking about an end game here, and if she is, the kid's smarter than I thought."

O'Dell: "And speaking of 'smart', Combs responding smartly as Graham continues to go right at her. Neither girl having any trouble finding the target now, as they're squared up on one another and trading good leather. Combs landing the highest percentage she has all night. Getting into a bit of a rhythm here..."

Cassie: "And give Holly credit. Kat really gave it to her last round, but she's come back strong. Looks like she still has something left in the tank, even at 39 years old."

O'Dell: "Certainly does. Graham a good right hand a Holly fires back with a nice one-two. Kat a good left hook and Holly a solid right hand counter. And both women now really letting the hands go down the stretch! Leather flying, crowd on its feet, final seconds melting away...and there's the bell! Exchange of stares as it comes! Neither girl looks to be backing down, but, while both scored plenty, Holly's going to take the round."

Tess: "Which brings Combs right back within a point, 48-47 at the halfway mark."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Sixth round begins with more two-way action. Graham flat-footed, square up to Combs, banging home solid jabs, following with right hands. Holly responding in kind, taking advantage of Graham's being much easier to find."

Cassie: "Both girls loading up right now, getting a lot behind their punches."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it. Sweat flying on some of these. Neither girl willing to give an inch. Both willing to trade and that's exactly what they're doing. Kat turning up the volume now, though, and Holly struggling to keep up..."

McCarthy: "Just like I said, Jenny. Graham wants to keep turning up the heat until Combs melts. And this isn't just an age issue. This is also a girl who hasn't been in an FCBA ring in AGES. Yes, she's trained and had some fights at lower levels, but it's not the same thing. She needs FCBA rounds to get up to speed."

O'Dell: "And right now that speed is a little lacking. Combs firing back, but can't match the volume coming from Graham. Holly getting forced backward a step or two as Kat's shifted into another gear. Graham just letting 'em go and Holly now being forced to the defensive, backing and covering, forced back to the ropes and Kat banging away right to the bell! Graham in total control at the end of the sixth!"

Tess: "And she's back to that two point lead on the scorecards, 58-56."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Bell for the seventh and Graham after Combs immediately, landing a good flurry that backs Holly up. Combs covering up as Graham fires another combination. Kat lasering in with that right hand now. Stings Holly with it. And again. Combs covering up again..."

Cassie: "Graham going for the kill right now, Jenny..."

O'Dell: "AND SHE WOBBLES COMBS WITH A RIGHT HOOK! Graham sends Holly reeling back into the ropes with a three-punch combination and goes to work! Combs pinned to the ropes as Graham goes all in! Kat pounding away at Holly's high guard...splits it with a right hand!"

McCarthy: "Combs in deep trouble..."

O'Dell: "Kat snaps Holly's head back with a left. Combs NAILED with a right hand...and sent wobbling along the ropes with a left hook...Referee looking in and Graham FREEZES Combs with a straight right hand...AND IT'S OVER! Referee leaping between the fighters and waiving it off! And your winner by TKO7 is 'The Liberian Lynx', Kat Graham!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore..."

Tess: "I have our winner, Kat Graham, and, Kat, it looked like you were setting her up for the stoppage for a couple of rounds..."

Kat: "I could have stopped her in the first if I wanted. Or, I could have carried her all ten and shut her out. I could have done anything I wanted. And that's not a knock on Holly. I can do that to ninety percent of this division. Because I'm THAT good, Tess. I'm THAT good."

Tess(smiling): "What about the other ten percent?"

Kat(smiling back): "With those girls, I have to work a little harder. But, the result's going to be the same. Because, again, I'm THAT good."
