Katherine’s challenge to take on the Sugababes has gone badly so far, taking horrible beatings from Keisha Buchanan and Amelle Berrabah – and now she faces probably the best fighter of the girlband in Jade Ewen, who really enjoys dishing out punishment, especially to blonde girls.

This fight takes place in Bristol, just across the Severn Bridge from Katherine’s native South Wales, and Georgie Thompson provides the commentary.

Yes, and we’ve got a lot of Welsh fightfans in tonight, but I fear Katherine’s likely to need more than a few cheers to get any change out of Jade Ewen.

Here come the girls – and they both look good, with Jade in a black bra and hotpants, with a white belt, gloves and boots, and Katherine in a scarlet bikini, he boots and gloves also white, and I’m looking forward to this!

Round 1

Here we go – and Jade’s already flaying Katherine’s body, really ripping in those hooks on the Welsh girl’s ribs, and there’s one for her tummy as well, and that looked like it hurt Katherine, because I can see her jaw’s dropped open. This Jade can punch, and she’s making Katherine sorry she badmouthed The Sugababes now, and that’s a nice little left hand puunch to the mouth Jade landed there, knocked Katherine’s head backwards with that, and now she gets back into the blonde girl’s bodywork – Katherine’s defending, elbows tucked in, but she’s getting a hard time here from a clearly better fighter. Jade misses with a couple of intended uppies there, and she’s snarling in her frustration. She sort of pushed Katherine backwards, there, and now Katherine’s on the ropes, and she takes two chopping left hooks to her face, and the Welsh girl’s creaking now, as she struggles to protect face and body at the same time, with Jade hurting her again to her midsection with a few cruel punches – there’s the bell, and boy did Katherine take some punishment there!

Round 2

After taking that punishment in the opening round, I’m glad to see that Katherine’s moving alright as this one starts, and she’s actually started the round better than Jade, who’s gone into her shell a little. Katherine’s coming forward, and she jabs Jade there, bops her head back again with a nice, stiff left hand. The blonde’s got quite a reach and height advantage in this matchup, and she’s using it well now, keeping Jade at arm’s length –if she can keep this up, she’s a danger to Jade, who gets inside now, and wants to hit the Welsh girl to the body again – but Katherine’s holding her, and Jade’s face is a picture of frustration, because she knows she can beat this girl, but she’s not showing anything now, just staying back, and Katherine’s hitting her so easily, I can’t believe it – she’s actually got Jade pinned to ropes, and she’s aiming a right hook at her face there, but now she gets hit, and Jade’s off the ropes in a flash there, and that right, left, right combo she just landed has hurt Katherine again, and I can see from the Welsh girl’s face that she’s unhappy after working so hard in that round.

Round 3

How will Jade react to the absolute tongue-she got from Gail Kim after that shambolic second round? Here’s the answer – she’s mad as hell, and she’s trading punches with Katherine Jenkins! Katherine doesn’t need this sort of encounter at all – she can’t use those height and reach advantages if Jade’s in close and banging punches into her body like this – she actually yelped then, and she’s in trouble now, her gloves are low, almost inviting Jade to move her attack upwards a foot and a half. Aww, she nailed Katherine there with a right hook, that really has hurt the blonde girl, and that’s another from the same book – it’s put Katherine down this time. She’s up again, slowly, I have to say, at 8, and she doesn’t look to sure of where she is right now, I’d say – yeah, Katherine’s definitely unsteady on those shapely pins of hers, and she’s taking more punishment – she’s down! Katherine’s all over the place here, beats the count again at 8, but here comes Jade – and she’s really going for her now, oww, that right hook has sliced across her cheek and cut it open – and now she just hammers Katherine’s tummy – why’s she doing that? Surely she could knock Katherine out now?

Round 4

Jade took another verbal roasting from Gail Kim between rounds. The gist of it was that she has to finish a girl off when she’s put her down twice in a round, not toy with her like a cat with a mouse! And Jade’s taken that on board I think, because she’s battering Katherine now – and Katherine’s bleeding really badly now – that cut looks bad, and her nose is pouring blood after she takes a thumping overarm left right on it, and she’s trapped in the corner – she’s getting really beaten here, blood’s flying everywhere – can’t the ref stop this? Ugh! Jade can! That’s a crippling right uppercut to finish Katherine off at last!

Jade Ewen has knocked Katherine Jenkins out in round 4.

The only question in my mind is – what took her so long?

Katherine’s conscious again – but she’s not really completely back with us. That’s not stopping Jade Ewen from hauling her off her stool though. I think you can guess what’s coming – and so can Katherine, because she’s half way across Jade’s lap already, and down come her bikini bottoms, Jade stuffing them into Katherine’s mouth, and unbuckling her belt, and pulling it out of her hotpants. She’s wrapping the buckle end of the belt around her fingers – brace yourself, Katherine! Oooh! That must have hurt! Jade’s cracked her belt across Katherine’s asscheeks so hard she’s drawn blood already, and the blonde girl’s body bucks, tears rolling down her face. And again! Hell, this Jade Ewen can brandish that belt – Katherine would be screaming like a banshee if her mouth wasn’t stuffed full with her own knickers, and that’s a third lash of the belt – and a fourth! What’s Jade doing now? She’s tipped Katherine onto the floor, and she’s laying into the blonde girl’s legs with her belt – now the security guards are in the ring, and they’re hauling Jade away, and not before time! Poor Katherine – she really is being used by the Sugababes tramps as a beatup doll, isn’t she?
