Before: "Win or lose, I'm still Britney Spears," Britney shrugs, answering criticism of some recent performances. "I'm money in the bank. I'm a competing hall-of-famer; I'm one of the top 20 best blonde fighters of all time, and I'm sorry if I don't get up for every punk who wins the lottery by getting in the ring with me. Tell you this though, I'm up for Laura. She may not be a huge name outside of the ring, but she's got a fighting record that gets my attention, and it'll mean something to take her down. She's a challenge, with her height and length. I'm going to have to go get her - if I set up pockets on the ropes, she'll just stand outside and touch me jabs, beat me cheap. With me coming forward, it'll be an exciting fight, and it'll be a gorgeous sight, seeing me chop a girl like this down!"

Spears edges left shoulder into Laura's guard - push-and-pivot counter-clockwise turns Laura, setting her up for a chopping hook to gut; hacking short right to ear. Laura taking clout like a champ...she firms, starts answering back - finding Britney with a right uppercut in close to win a little breathing room. Spears backs off - content to stoop/reach jabs into Laura's tummy while Vandervoort recovers behind the high earmuff.

R2: Same approaches - Laura jab-jabbing from the shoulder, then extending the left to measure, leaning in to feed Britney the long right cross over Spears' left shoulder. Spears slipping and rolling - occasionally pushing her jab at Laura's belly...she's trying to get Vandervoort to overextend into a right hand counter. Midway through, Britney gets what she wants again: roll-counter right on the chops has Laura sputtering out of orbit, sinewy legs a-spasming. Britney with a deep, abrupt crouch spooks Laura into flinching: leaping hook checks Laura's chin, dropping her neatly to her back! Aggressive smile, Britney Spears as she trots past blonde rubble: Laura all jittery sitting up, blinking in confusion, rolling over right hip to get up. Final minute: siege of Laura at ropes. Britney pushing in strong with her head - hands pulling down Laura's wrists - Spears cuffing and bashing away at close quarters, clouting Laura's jaw lines; occasionally loading up and plowing a stout right flat to midsection. Bell: Laura frazzled, swaying a bit...she's taking a lot of quality leather through 2.

R3: Britney loose, hamming it up midring, having fun in there. She'll bob abruptly in her stance, feinting Laura, then try for Laura's face with a hook-and-pivot clockwise. She'll bob-feint, jab at Laura's tits or tummy. And she's still roll-countering like a champ, taking Laura's right hand on the left shoulder, then answering back righty before Vandervoort can recover. Laura showing her terrific conditioning - taking a great shot, maintaining her form for the most part...she's getting the left jab into Britney's left side-boob; getting a lancing straight right in above Brit's left hip as Spears dips torso-right in that closed-stance of hers.

R4: Britney spends a minute being cute midring, countering the taller blonde effectively; bait-and-switching Laura into screened right hands or hook-and-pivot routines. Vandervoort finally discouraged, backing off to regroup: Spears abruptly over to offence, spooking Laura to ropes with a series of sweeping haymakers out of a bobbing approach. Siege of Laura at the ropes - Britney setting up on Vandervoort's chest, pawing at Laura's inner-elbows or wrists, touching and knuckling Laura into position, then fitting her for clout. Vandervoort grimacing, gutting it out - she's grinding pate with Britney; picking Brit up the right uppercut; clubbing at Brit's tits and tummy lapping right/lefts. Spears refusing to back off, pushing and punching on Laura like a curvy blonde bully...it's almost like Spears is mimicking Dani Fishel, while Laura plays the part of Britney spears here! Bell: Dani shouting "Atta girl, champ! Way to fight her, Laura! Way to be!" Encouraging stuff, but Laura's hurting on the stool, lumping nicely through 4.

R5: Britney takes the round off: Laura works. Vandervoort outside, extending the left to touch at Britney; sliding Brit the smooth right cross; twisting torso-right to lash the come-back hook onto Britney. Spears bobbing and rolling much of this - occasionally patting back at Laura's tummy with the up-jab - taking the odd pivot-step counter-clockwise. Vandervoort not having much luck up top, but right hands delivered to left hip/lower back are smiting Britney with authority.

R6: Britney takes a round off: Laura continues to work. Long blonde Laura persisting with slashing right crosses - Britney slipping 'em, but the lashing follow-up hooks are starting to bite at belly or face - Laura sometimes doubling up hooks off her lead (left) leg. Spears grumpy, trying to weave her way inside, but Laura sliding nicely out of range, extending the left to measure, then sliding that hard right hand fastball, catching Britney to chin and DOWN GOES SPEARS! Brit dropped to all fours - gets up too quickly - steps in fence post holes - reels into ropes all buns a-jostling: Spears is hurt and Laura's pacing neutral corner like a jungle cat! Jiggly 8 Brit: ON COMES LAURA! Vandervoort raking Brit right hands off that measuring left; popping hips-right to snap hooks off paunch; measuring with the left to reset, then leaning into the next strafing right. Laura never bendier or more lethal - just lashing Britney, hitting Spears hard, hard shots head and body and BRITNEY TAKES A KNEE! Spears blinking in stupor, panting, right hand in ropes as she rests on right knee...Laura belts out 2 knockdowns and gets herself back in the fight!

R7: LET'S GO BRIT-NEY clap clap clapclapclap! Spears turning in closed stance, face sullen as she rolls and slips. Laura bright-eyed, on her toes - touching and measuring with that extended left; leaning into slashing right crosses; pivoting counter-clockwise while re-establishing distance with the nibbling left. Spears turning, turning - not getting tagged flush, but getting outworked, and suffering the odd spanking right hand in left-side ribs or hip. 2 and a half minutes, Laura putting the finishing touches on her shutout...she misses a right cross; takes a SMASHING right counter on the chops...Laura turns 90 degrees to her right and goes down! Laura panting on all fours, badly rocked, staring...Spears steals the round with crunching, opportunistic power.

R8: Spears bulls Laura to ropes: siege ensues. Brit grinding pate, pawing and pushing on Laura. Swatting clout takes Laura's jawlines, stunning her, then Britney's downstairs, pumpin' tummy. Laura fighting with perma-wince, butt in ropes, using hands to pull Britney's head down or tie up behind her elbows. Vandervoort outpunched 2 to 1, but she IS slugging back in spots. Laura's right uppercuts pick Britney's face up with authority; lashing, lanky right/lefts plow at Britney's gut.

R9: Britney takes a round off: Laura works. Vandervoort outside - jabbing at Britney's left shoulder; extending the left hand to measure; sliding the right hand in; cleaning up whiplash hooks as Britney's bobbing, often to Spears' paunch. Spears making the odd effort to weave close, but Laura managing these moments with a little fade step back, a pesky left hand range-finder, followed by streaking right hands.

R10: Spears jabbing head/body, rushing Laura to ropes, reaching in to clinch. Britney playing it smart - smothering Laura ropeside, only working hard if it looks like ref's going to break. Laura grimacing - constant work for her to wriggle her arms in under Britney's arms; constant strain to wrestle-reverse Spears into ropes. Britney too strong inside - crowding and bullying; brawny and rough with head/shoulders/elbows; pumping tummy hup-hup, then tying up again. Bell to bell Britney: Laura frustrated, angry at the tactics, but there's nothing she can do. Comes back UD10 Britney Spears.

AFter: A few curt words after Spears' hand is raised - Dani at Laura's shoulder not helping matters as Fishel adds more heat, not a cooler-head. "Fun fight," Britney says, dabbing at her face with the white towel across her shoulders. "Laura always brings it, so it was tough at times, but I always felt like I was in control of her. She rang my bell that one time, but it was kind of lucky: once I shook that off, I never really felt her power. Chopped her body like a champ - Laura didn't like those touches downstairs, let me tell you. Just a great all around fight by me, and I can FINALLY tell Swan to quit nagging at me! Serin, Laura's good and beat, okay? Jeez!"
