Rache on her heels, but proving tuff: she'll form earmuff, lean back in...she's willing to absorb Munn's body shots, while blocking clout up top. Olivia the boss this round, pummeling Rachel round the ring: McAdams sturdy in receipt though - touching check jabs in retreat, digging hooks to tummy in spots.

R3: Rachel touchin' it up on Olivia Munn. McAdams being first - not a lot of weight on the shots, but she's keeping Munn covered up and taking. Rache popping jabs to guard; jamming that palm-down straight right to tummy, followed by the quick clip-across palm-down hook to chin. Timing Olivia, Rachel's putting clean right/lefts on Munn's chin as champ's trying to get off. All for naught: down the stretch - Munn rises from a deep crouch with a monster hook...sweeping blast smashes Rachel's face, sending her reeling to ropes. Mac covers up face-in-gloves: redhead trusts her conditioning as Munn steps-to, lowers her head and POURS the leather to Rachel's tight waistline hup-hup-hup. Bell: Rachel trembling, badly shook up...Munn pushes Rachel's face while disengaging, drawing a round of boos from the crowd.

R4: First minute pressure from Munn neatly diffused by hopping, circling Rachel Mac...redhead gradually winning back the initiative with that pesky, poking left jab. Munn stooping forward in earmuff, waiting her turn: Rachel opens up the throttle. Torrid stuff - small mitts digging viciously at the meat of Munn's tummy; spanking off her flank-ribs. Rachel showing a bit of a Minka Kelly look - leading with the straight right hand to Munn's midsection, then quick-timing the palm-down hook across: Olivia sputtering out of orbit at times, struggling to keep her guard in place. Down the stretch - Rachel drills in between Olivia's mitts with a stream of straight left/rights...harsh face punching drives Munn ropeside, loosens her up! Olivia: sliding to her right along ropes, eyes unfocussed, left hand on the middle rope behind her, right hand up in don't-hurt-me palm-out configuration. Rachel hopping-with, happily belting away...McAdams swinging lefts and rights finding Olivia's head again and again, PUNCHING MUNN SLEEPY! Munn's curvy legs hold her up, but she's just facing into punishment...bell sounds before Rachel can apply the finishing touch!

R5: Rachel pours at Olivia Munn. Redhead all-in - lunging at Olivia with chopping overhand rights, leaping hooks. Olivia's front collapses...she's stumbling backward into ropes, staggering along them. Munn goes down at the minute mark under a bludgeoning hail of Rachel leather -redhead just belting away with thumbside-up ferocity in horizontal plane. Munn up but shabby - it's more pursuit-boxing from Rachel as she catches Olivia running rights or lefts, chases her to ropes, then squaring away to hustle-punch Munn senseless. Munn down again under a thudding barrage of lefts and rights - small mitts just pelting off Olivia's head and shoulders as she cowers against ropes, slowly turns to her right and takes the knee. Rachel huffing and puffing, hands on hips in neutral corner...tank getting dangerously low, but she surges forward for another dousing minute, lathering Olivia ragged at ropes to bell. "YEAH!" Rachel shouts in Olivia's groggy face - Munn blinking vacantly as strands of black hair are blown back.

R6: Rachel dials back the fury, but not the volume: pesky, digging attack hounds Olivia pillar to post. Munn reeling, unable to answer back...rarely has she ever been on her heels to this extent. Back of Olivia's right hand at her forehead; left hand pawing for Rachel, trying to ward off punches. McAdams quick-stepping to either side; pop-popping the jab to forehead; flashing the straight palm-down right to tits; bending knees to jam the palm-down right straight to midsection - straightening to hook-mouth via palm-down left. If Olivia shows full earmuff, giving up her flanks, Rachel takes said flanks without hesitation, whirling her mitts PIK! PAK! PEK! Shutout Rachel - Mac's eyes dancing, body all firm and perky, ponytail bouncing: Munn wincing, disheveled, looking well and truly ass-kicked through 6.

R7: Munn strikes back. Trade in chopping rights buckles Rachel's knees...she's hurt, trying to clinch: Munn goes over to offence. Munn pushes Rachel off, sending her stumbling to ropes...Olivia wades in, eyes hard, face set in stony determination. Nothing fancy - left hand pushes at Rachel's face or guard; right hand belts the ribs; hook takes Rache in right armpit; right uppercut brushes Rachel back into ropes. On and on...Rachel's reactions slowing, lights dimming - her eyelashes fluttering shut, lips parting as she slow-rolls in the pocket, sliding to her left along ropes. Rachel trying to keep earmuff gaurd in place, but Olivia's bashing it apart, exposing McAdams to hellish bombardments to face until Rachel can tie up. Munn able to shove Mac off without ref's breaks...it's a sustained, terrible beating bell to bell. Rachel hurt, out on her feet unfocussed: Munn whining for breath, leaning over hands-on-knees...it's 10-8 Munn without the knockdown.

R8: Battered beauties mere shadows of the springy warriors who began the fight. Rachel shying away flat-footed to her right, eyes swelling, hands at her waist. Munn stalking - hands on hips when out of range, moving to chest when she gets close enough to step in her jab. Rachel shunted into ropes, whereupon she'll whirl back blind rights and lefts - just enough volume to prevent Olivia from squaring up; giving Rache space to slide out to her right. Munn walking redhead down, being the aggressor, taking the points but down the stretch - surprising chop-right hand to jaw startles Olivia as she's walking in. Rachel doubles the right to jaw, spinning off ropes counterclockwise as Olivia staggers INTO ropes. Munn: staring, hands chest high, lips parted - she faces into a hard left hook, then a right hand...RACHEL'S TEEING OFF ON OLIVIA'S FACE! Munn standing strong, hands drooping - Rachel suddenly alive with aggression, bouncing fists off Olivia's face. Munn swaying, wilting...Rachel bends knees, jams palm-down straight right hand to tummy; straightens up into short palm-down hook - gets another as Olivia's tilting to her right and MUNN GOES DOWN! Munn pitching past Rachel's left flank, rolling to her back. Munn sputtering, chest heaving, hands palm-up around her head, eyes frowning shut in a little KO'd pout. Munn's left knee rising as she tries to dig the heel into canvas, but her foot just keeps skidding out. IT'S OVER! Munn can't get off her back - KO8 in spectacular fashion for the winner and NEW bantam champ - Rachel McAdams!

After: Rachel weeping exhausted, jubilant tears...what a long hard road back to the top of the heap! "I'm at my best against bullies," Rachel explains - ribs hot-pink from punishment, eyes half shut. "Olivia hurt me, not going to lie...many times I thought I was going out, but I just couldn't give her the satisfaction. You know, Olivia Munn's cut down a lot of great fighters...I'm dedicating this win to them. Girls like Jennie Garth deserve much better than to be remembered only as a body on the road to Munn's dominance. Olivia didn't bring honour or glory to the bantamweight title: I intend to restore a little of that luster!"
